First Records of Two Species of Genus Clavelina (Ascidiacea: Aplousobranchia: Clavelinidae) from Korea

Colonial ascidians, Clavelina elegans (Oka, 1927) and Clavelina miniata Watanabe & Tokioka, 1973 are reported for the first time in Korean waters. As a result of this study, three species of the genus Clavelina are now recorded in Korean fauna. Clavelina elegans and C. miniata have been reported only from Japan. We expanded the distribution range of these species to Korea. The specimens of C. elegans and C. miniata were collected from the subtidal zone of Beomseom and Chagwido in Jeju-do by SCUBA diving. Detailed descriptions, illustrations and photographs of these species are provided in this paper.
Five New Species of Genus Hyattella (Dictyoceratida: Spongiidae) from Korea

Five new species of the genus Hyattella (Dictyoceratida: Spongiidae); Hyattella chaguiensis n. sp., H. munseomensis n. sp., H. sumsangiensis n. sp., H. bakusi n. sp., and H. purpurea n. sp., were collected from Jeju-do, Korea. Hyattella chaguiensis n. sp. is similar to H. mara Sim and Lee, 2014 in shape, but differs in dermal membrane and primary fibres. Hyattella munseomensis n. sp. differs in cored primary fibres, having middle-size sand. Hyattella sumsangiensis n. sp. is characterized by color changes and very soft texture. Hyattella bakusi n. sp. and H. purpurea n. sp. are similar in shape, having tube-like elevated holes, but differ in skeletal structures.
New Report on Two Species of the Genus Nipponomysis (Crustacea: Mysida: Mysidae) from Korean Waters

Two species of mysid, Nipponomysis fusca (Ii, 1936) and N. tenuiculus (Ii, 1940), are newly recorded in Korean fauna. These two species were collected using a light or a bait trap from all coasts of the Korean peninsula. The genus Nipponomysis can be distinguished from allied genus by the following morphological characteristics: third to eighth thoracic endopods with carpopropodus divided into five to six subsegments compared to three subsegments, and anterior four pairs of pleopod in female subequal in length and fifth pair elongated. Nipponomysis fusca is characterized by its acute rostral plate and armature of telson, and N. tenuiculus differs from other species by the number of spine in ventral statocyst region and the shape of the fourth pleopod in male. Herein, we present detailed descriptions of two species from Korean waters with illustrations of morphology. In addition, an identification key to the Korean species of the genus is provided.
Three New Species of Procloeon (Ephemeroptera: Baetidae) from Thailand

Three baetid mayflies in the genus Procloeon Bengtsson are described from Thailand: P. narumonae, n. sp. (male and female adults and larva), P. rubeosternum, n. sp. (male and female adults, male and female subimagos, and larva), and P. siamensis, n. sp. (larva). Descriptions of known stages with line-drawings of diagnostic characters, material data, diagnoses, habitat data, and taxonomic remarks are provided.
A New Species of Farranula (Copepoda: Cyclopoida: Corycaeidae) from the West Central Pacific, with a Key to Species of the Genus

A new species of the genus Farranula Wilson, 1942 (Cyclopoida, Corycaeidae) is described based on both sexes collected off Chuuk Island in Micronesia (West Central Pacific). The new species F. dahlae differs from its close congener F. gibbula (Giesbrecht, 1891) in the following combination of characters in both sexes: body length is longer, length to width ratio of caudal rami is larger, basal element of maxilliped is distinctly longer, and terminal spine to distal segment ratio of P4 is smaller; while in females, lateral margins of fourth pedigerous somite are extended to mid-region of second urosomal somite, maximum width of the second urosomal somite is located at middle region in dorsal and lateral views, and length ratio of caudal seta III to seta V is much larger; and in males, sharply contracted portion of second somite is located at two-thirds distance from anterior margin. Some additional morphological details of F. gibbula are given and a key to species of the genus Farranula is provided.
First Record of Tri-spine Horseshoe Crab, Tachypleus tridentatus (Merostomata: Xiphosurida: Limulidae) from Korean Waters

A tri-spine horseshoe crab, Tachypleus tridentatus (Leach, 1819) was collected from a sandy beach of Udo Island of Jeju during the full moon tides in November 1997. Three spines on the posterior margin of the opisthosoma were characterized indicating that the specimen was T. tridentatus. This specimen was a female with the total length of 49.5 cm and prosoma width of 23.0 cm. Tachypleus tridentatus was the first record from Korean waters. A brief description and figures of the species were given. This finding indicates that Korea is included to the distribution range of the species.
Two Species of Phycitinae (Lepidoptera, Pyralidae) New to Korea

Two species of Phycitinae, Rabiria rufimaculella (Yamanaka, 1993) and Copamyntis martimella Kirpichnikova & Yamanaka, 2002, are reported for the first time from Korea. Rabiria rufimaculella can be recognized by having two reddish-yellow and short bands near the postmedial and antemedial line, and by the bifurcate gnathos and the cornutus which is formed by numerous thorn-shaped sclerites in male genitalia. Copamyntis martimella can be distinguished with the congeners by the uniformly distributed setae on the sacculus and the curved aedeagus in male genitalia and the peanut-shaped signum near the middle of the corpus bursae in female genitalia. The adults and genitalia of the species are redescribed and illustrated.
Two New Records of Lamprops Species (Cumacea, Lampropidae) from Korea

Two newly recorded species belonging to the genus Lamprops, family Lampropidae found in the East Sea (Sea of Japan) of Korea are reported: Lamprops carinatus Hart, 1930 and L. pseudosarsi Tsareva and Vassilenko, 1993. Lamprops carinatus is characterized by having a smooth carapace without oblique ridges and one long and two pairs of terminal unequal setae on the telson. Lamprops pseudosarsi is easily distinguished by having two pairs of oblique ridges on the carapace and one long and two pairs of terminal subequal setae on the telson. The collected specimens were congruent with the original descriptions, except for several minor differences. This is the first record of the genus Lamprops from Korea. Especially, new information on the mouthparts of these species is given, and the male of L. pseudosarsi is described for the first time. Keys are also provided to the Korean genera of the Lampropidae and species of Lamprops.
