EMBEDDING PROPERTIES IN NEAR-RINGS
Cho, Yong Uk ;
East Asian mathematical journal , volume 29, issue 3, 2013, Pages 255~258
DOI : 10.7858/eamj.2013.016
In this paper, we initiate the study of zero symmetric and constant parts of near-rings, and then apply these to self map near-rings. Next, we investigate that every near-ring can be embedded into some self map near-ring, and every zero symmetric near-ring can be embedded into some zero symmetric self map near-ring.
SOME RESULTS ON KRONECKER PRODUCTS AND COMMUTATION MATRICES
Yun, Yong Sik ; Kang, Chul ;
East Asian mathematical journal , volume 29, issue 3, 2013, Pages 259~268
DOI : 10.7858/eamj.2013.017
There are a lot of unsolved problems or issues regarding Kronecker products, vec-operator and Commutation matrices. We derived further properties and results of Kronecker products, vec-operator and Commutation Matrices.
NORMAL FUZZY PROBABILITY FOR TRAPEZOIDAL FUZZY SETS
Kim, Changil ; Yun, Yong Sik ;
East Asian mathematical journal , volume 29, issue 3, 2013, Pages 269~278
DOI : 10.7858/eamj.2013.018
A fuzzy set A defined on a probability space (
, P) is called a fuzzy event. Zadeh defines the probability of the fuzzy event A using the probability P. We define the normal fuzzy probability on
using the normal distribution. We calculate the normal fuzzy probability for generalized trapezoidal fuzzy sets and give some examples.
AN ELIGIBLE PRIMAL-DUAL INTERIOR-POINT METHOD FOR LINEAR OPTIMIZATION
Cho, Gyeong-Mi ; Lee, Yong-Hoon ;
East Asian mathematical journal , volume 29, issue 3, 2013, Pages 279~292
DOI : 10.7858/eamj.2013.019
It is well known that each kernel function defines a primal-dual interior-point method(IPM). Most of polynomial-time interior-point algorithms for linear optimization(LO) are based on the logarithmic kernel function([2, 11]). In this paper we define a new eligible kernel function and propose a new search direction and proximity function based on this function for LO problems. We show that the new algorithm has
iteration bound for large- and small-update methods, respectively. These are currently the best known complexity results.
FUNCTIONS AND DIFFERENTIAL OPERATORS IN THE DUAL REDUCED QUATERNION FIELD
Jung, Hyun Sook ; Shon, Kwang Ho ;
East Asian mathematical journal , volume 29, issue 3, 2013, Pages 293~302
DOI : 10.7858/eamj.2013.020
We research properties of ternary numbers and hyperholomorphic functions with values in
(2). We represent reduced quaternion numbers and obtain some propertries in dual reduced quaternion systems in view of Clifford analysis. Moreover, we obtain Cauchy theorems with respect to dual reduced quaternions.
CONVERGENCE THEOREMS FOR GENERALIZED EQUILIBRIUM PROBLEMS AND ASYMPTOTICALLY κ-STRICT PSEUDO-CONTRACTIONS IN HILBERT SPACES
Liu, Ying ;
East Asian mathematical journal , volume 29, issue 3, 2013, Pages 303~314
DOI : 10.7858/eamj.2013.021
In this paper, we introduce an iterative scheme for finding a common element of the set of solutions of a generalized equilibrium problem and the set of common fixed points of a finite family of asymptotically
-strict pseudo-contractions in Hilbert spaces. Weak and strong convergence theorems are established for the iterative scheme.
A PROXIMAL POINT ALGORITHM FOR SOLVING THE GENERAL VARIATIONAL INCLUSIONS WITH M(·, ·)-MONOTONE OPERATORS IN BANACH SPACES
Chen, Junmin ; Wang, Xian ; He, Zhen ;
East Asian mathematical journal , volume 29, issue 3, 2013, Pages 315~326
DOI : 10.7858/eamj.2013.022
In this paper, a new monotonicity,
-monotonicity, is introduced in Banach spaces, and the resolvent operator of an
-monotone operator is proved to be single valued and Lipschitz continuous. By using the resolvent operator technique associated with
-monotone operators, we construct a proximal point algorithm for solving a class of variational inclusions. And we prove the convergence of the sequences generated by the proximal point algorithms in Banach spaces. The results in this paper extend and improve some known results in the literature.
THE CONDITION NUMBERS OF A QUADRATIC MATRIX EQUATION
Kim, Hye-Yeon ; Kim, Hyun-Min ;
East Asian mathematical journal , volume 29, issue 3, 2013, Pages 327~335
DOI : 10.7858/eamj.2013.023
In this paper we consider the quadratic matrix equation which can be defined by
, where X is a
unknown complex matrix, and A, B and C are
given matrices with complex elements. We first introduce a couple of condition numbers of the equation Q(X) and present normwise condition numbers. Finally, we compare the results and some numerical experiments are given.
ON DECOMPOSITIONS OF THE COMPLETE EQUIPARTITE GRAPHS K

Kim, Seong Kun ;
East Asian mathematical journal , volume 29, issue 3, 2013, Pages 337~347
DOI : 10.7858/eamj.2013.024
For an even integer m at least 4 and any positive integer
, it is shown that the complete equipartite graph
can be decomposed into edge-disjoint gregarious m-cycles for any positive integer
under the condition satisfying
. Here it will be called a gregarious cycle if the cycle has at most one vertex from each partite set.
ON THE SOLUTIONS OF EQUATIONS OVER NILPOTENT GROUPS OF CLASS 2
Kim, Seong Kun ;
East Asian mathematical journal , volume 29, issue 3, 2013, Pages 349~353
DOI : 10.7858/eamj.2013.025
In this paper, we study equations over nilpotent groups of class 2. We show that there are some overgroups which contains solutions of equations with exponent sum 1 over nilpotent groups of class 2. As known, equations over a field has a solution in an extension field which contains a copy of the given field. But it is not easy to find that a solution of equations over groups. In many cases, even if equations over groups has a solution, the overgroup is not concrete but very Here we find the concrete overgroups in case of nilpotent groups.
