^{c}
MANIFOLDS
Wang, Jian ; Wang, Yong ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 49, issue 2, 2012, Pages 223~234
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2012.49.2.223
Abstract
We prove a Guillemin-Sternberg geometric quantization formula for circle action on odd dimensional
-manifolds. We prove two Kostant type formulas in this case. As a corollary, we get a cutting formula for the odd spinc quantization.

FUNCTION ALGEBRAS ON BIDISKS
Chi, Kieu Phuong ; Dieu, Nguyen Quang ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 49, issue 2, 2012, Pages 235~247
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2012.49.2.235
Abstract
We study sufficient conditions for function algebras generated by four smooth functions on a small closed bidisk near the origin in
to coincide with the space of continuous functions on the bidisk. This problem in one dimension has been studied by De Paepe and the second name author.

SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS FOR A CLASS OF IMPLICIT MULTIFUNCTIONS WITH APPLICATIONS
Li, Shengjie ; Li, Minghua ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 49, issue 2, 2012, Pages 249~262
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2012.49.2.249
Abstract
In this paper, under some suitable conditions and in virtue of a selection which depends on a vector-valued function and a feasible set map, the sensitivity analysis of a class of implicit multifunctions is investigated. Moreover, by using the results established, the solution sets of parametric vector optimization problems are studied.

Yang, Dan ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 49, issue 2, 2012, Pages 271~284
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2012.49.2.271
Abstract
Let M be a linear Weingarten spacelike hypersurface in a locally symmetric Lorentz space with R = aH + b, where R and H are the normalized scalar curvature and the mean curvature, respectively. In this paper, we give some conditions for the complete hypersurface M to be totally umbilical.

EQUIDISTRIBUTION OF PERIODIC POINTS OF SOME AUTOMORPHISMS ON K3 SURFACES
Lee, Chong-Gyu ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 49, issue 2, 2012, Pages 307~317
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2012.49.2.307
Abstract
We say (W, {
}) is a polarizable dynamical system of several morphisms if
are endomorphisms on a projective variety W such that
is linearly equivalent to
for some ample line bundle L on W and for some q > t. If q is a rational number, then we have the equidistribution of small points of given dynamical system because of Yuan's work [13]. As its application, we can build a polarizable dynamical system of an automorphism and its inverse on a K3 surface and can show that its periodic points are equidistributed.

MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS OF A MULTIFLUID INTERPENETRATION MIX MODEL
Jin, Hyeon-Seong ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 49, issue 2, 2012, Pages 319~327
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2012.49.2.319
Abstract
The equations of a multifluid interpenetration mix model are analyzed. The model is an intermediate mix model in the sense that it is defined by partial pressures but only a single global pressure and a single global temperature. It none-the-less avoids the stability difficulty. It is shown that the model is hyperbolic so that it is mathematically stable.

H-SLANT SUBMERSIONS
Park, Kwang-Soon ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 49, issue 2, 2012, Pages 329~338
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2012.49.2.329
Abstract
In this paper, we define the almost h-slant submersion and the h-slant submersion which may be the extended version of the slant submersion [11]. And then we obtain some theorems which come from the slant submersion's cases. Finally, we construct some examples for the almost h-slant submersions and the h-slant submersions.

A NOTE ON PSEUDO-RIEMANNIAN ASSOCIATIVE FERMIONIC NOVIKOV ALGEBRAS
Chen, Zhiqi ; Zhu, Fuhai ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 49, issue 2, 2012, Pages 353~358
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2012.49.2.353
Abstract
In this paper, we focus on pseudo-Riemannian associative fermionic Novikov algebras. We prove that the underlying Lie algebras of pseudo-Riemannian associative fermionic Novikov algebras are 2-step nilpotent and that pseudo-Riemannian associative fermionic Novikov algebras are 3-step nilpotent. Moreover, we construct a pseudo-Riemannian associative fermionic Novikov algebra in dimension 14, which is not a Novikov algebra. It implies that the inverse proposition of Corollary 2 in the paper "Pseudo-Riemannian Novikov algebras" [J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 41 (2008), 315207] does not hold.

ON THE ERROR TERM IN THE PRIME GEODESIC THEOREM
Avdispahic, Muharem ; Gusic, Dzenan ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 49, issue 2, 2012, Pages 367~372
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2012.49.2.367
Abstract
Taking the integrated Chebyshev-type counting function of the appropriate order, we improve the error term in Park's prime geodesic theorem for hyperbolic manifolds with cusps. The obtained estimate coincides with the best known result in the Riemann surfaces case.

INSERTION-OF-FACTORS-PROPERTY ON NILPOTENT ELEMENTS
Baek, Jin-Eon ; Chin, Woo-Young ; Choi, Ji-Woong ; Eom, Tae-Hyun ; Jeon, Young-Cheol ; Lee, Yang ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 49, issue 2, 2012, Pages 381~394
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2012.49.2.381
Abstract
We generalize the insertion-of-factors-property by setting nilpotent products of elements. In the process we introduce the concept of a nil-IFP ring that is also a generalization of an NI ring. It is shown that if K
the's conjecture holds, then every nil-IFP ring is NI. The class of minimal noncommutative nil-IFP rings is completely determined, up to isomorphism, where the minimal means having smallest cardinality.

AN INJECTIVITY THEOREM FOR CASSON-GORDON TYPE REPRESENTATIONS RELATING TO THE CONCORDANCE OF KNOTS AND LINKS
Friedl, Stefan ; Powell, Mark ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 49, issue 2, 2012, Pages 395~409
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2012.49.2.395
Abstract
In the study of homology cobordisms, knot concordance and link concordance, the following technical problem arises frequently: let
be a group and let M
N be a homomorphism between projective
-modules such that
is injective; for which other right
-modules V is the induced map
also injective? Our main theorem gives a new criterion which combines and generalizes many previous results.

ON CONJUGACY OF p-GONAL AUTOMORPHISMS
Hidalgo, Ruben A. ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 49, issue 2, 2012, Pages 411~415
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2012.49.2.411
Abstract
In 1995 it was proved by Gonz
lez-Diez that the cyclic group generated by a p-gonal automorphism of a closed Riemann surface of genus at least two is unique up to conjugation in the full group of conformal automorphisms. Later, in 2008, Gromadzki provided a different and shorter proof of the same fact using the Castelnuovo-Severi theorem. In this paper we provide another proof which is shorter and is just a simple use of Sylow's theorem together with the Castelnuovo-Severi theorem. This method permits to obtain that the cyclic group generated by a conformal automorphism of order p of a handlebody with a Kleinian structure and quotient the three-ball is unique up to conjugation in the full group of conformal automorphisms.

Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 49, issue 2, 2012, Pages 417~422
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2012.49.2.417
Abstract
In this paper, we prove an analog of the generalized Schwarz lemma for meromorphic functions. Our results improve the classical generalized Schwarz lemma.

T-STRUCTURE AND THE YAMABE INVARIANT
Sung, Chan-Young ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 49, issue 2, 2012, Pages 435~443
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2012.49.2.435
Abstract
The Yamabe invariant is a topological invariant of a smooth closed manifold, which contains information about possible scalar curvature on it. It is well-known that a product manifold
where
is the m-dimensional torus, and B is a closed spin manifold with nonzero
-genus has zero Yamabe invariant. We generalize this to various T-structured manifolds, for example
-bundles over such B whose transition functions take values in Sp(m,
) (or Sp(m - 1,
)
for odd m).
