Feng, Xiaojing ; Niu, Pengcheng ; Zhu, Maochun ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 51, issue 5, 2014, Pages 1241~1257
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2014.51.5.1241
Abstract
We consider a class of hypoelliptic operators of the following type
, where (
), (
) are constant matrices and (
) is symmetric positive definite on
(
). By establishing global Morrey estimates of singular integral on the homogenous space and the relation between Morrey space and weak Morrey space, we obtain the global weak Morrey estimates of the operator L on the whole space

Fakhari, Abbas ; Lee, Seunghee ; Tajbakhsh, Khosro ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 51, issue 5, 2014, Pages 1259~1267
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2014.51.5.1259
Abstract
In this paper we show that any chain transitive set of a diffeomorphism on a compact
-manifold which is
-stably limit shadowable is hyperbolic. Moreover, it is proved that a locally maximal chain transitive set of a
-generic diffeomorphism is hyperbolic if and only if it is limit shadowable.

STRUCTURAL STABILITY RESULTS FOR THE THERMOELASTICITY OF TYPE III
Liu, Yan ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 51, issue 5, 2014, Pages 1269~1279
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2014.51.5.1269
Abstract
The equations arising from the thermoelastic theory are analyzed in a linear approximation. First, we establish the convergence result on the coefficient c. Next, we establish that the solution depends continuously on changes in the coefficient c. The main tool used in this paper is the energy method.

IN BASE b
Grau, Jose Maria ; Oller-Marcen, Antonio M. ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 51, issue 5, 2014, Pages 1325~1337
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2014.51.5.1325
Abstract
In this paper we study the sequences defined by the last and the last non-zero digits of
in base b. For the sequence given by the last digits of
in base b, we prove its periodicity using different techniques than those used by W. Sierpinski and R. Hampel. In the case of the sequence given by the last non-zero digits of
in base b (which had been studied only for b = 10) we show the non-periodicity of the sequence when b is an odd prime power and when it is even and square-free. We also show that if
the sequence is periodic and conjecture that this is the only such case.

A NEW ATTACK ON THE KMOV CRYPTOSYSTEM
Nitaj, Abderrahmane ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 51, issue 5, 2014, Pages 1347~1356
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2014.51.5.1347
Abstract
In this paper, we analyze the security of the KMOV public key cryptosystem. KMOV is based on elliptic curves over the ring
where n = pq is the product of two large unknown primes of equal bit-size. We consider KMOV with a public key (n, e) where the exponent e satisfies an equation ex-(p+1)(q+1)y = z, with unknown parameters x, y, z. Using Diophantine approximations and lattice reduction techniques, we show that KMOV is insecure when x, y, z are suitably small.

DYNAMICAL BEHAVIOR OF A HARVEST SINGLE SPECIES MODEL ON GROWING HABITAT
Ling, Zhi ; Zhang, Lai ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 51, issue 5, 2014, Pages 1357~1368
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2014.51.5.1357
Abstract
This paper is concerned with a reaction-diffusion single species model with harvesting on n-dimensional isotropically growing domain. The model on growing domain is derived and the corresponding comparison principle is proved. The asymptotic behavior of the solution to the problem is obtained by using the method of upper and lower solutions. The results show that the growth of domain takes a positive effect on the asymptotic stability of positive steady state solution while it takes a negative effect on the asymptotic stability of the trivial solution, but the effect of the harvesting rate is opposite. The analytical findings are validated with the numerical simulations.

MULTIPLE PERIODIC SOLUTIONS OF SECOND-ORDER ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS ACROSS RESONANCE
Cai, Hua ; Chang, Xiaojun ; Zhao, Xin ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 51, issue 5, 2014, Pages 1433~1451
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2014.51.5.1433
Abstract
In this paper we study the existence of multiple periodic solutions of second-order ordinary differential equations. New results of multiplicity of periodic solutions are obtained when the nonlinearity may cross multiple consecutive eigenvalues. The arguments are proceeded by a combination of variational and degree theoretic methods.

Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 51, issue 5, 2014, Pages 1453~1467
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2014.51.5.1453
Abstract
In this paper, we consider the growth and existence of solutions of differential-difference equations of certain types. We also consider the differential-difference analogues of Br

Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 51, issue 5, 2014, Pages 1469~1484
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2014.51.5.1469
Abstract
In this paper we are concerned with a class of stochastic partial functional differential equations with infinite delay. Supposing that the linear part is a Hille-Yosida operator but not necessarily densely defined and employing the integrated semigroup and random dynamics theory, we present some appropriate conditions to guarantee the existence of a random attractor.

PERSISTENCE OF HOMOCLINIC ORBITS AFTER DISCRETIZATION OF A TWO DIMENSIONAL DEGENERATE DIFFERENTIAL SYSTEM
Mehidi, Noureddine ; Mohdeb, Nadia ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 51, issue 5, 2014, Pages 1503~1510
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2014.51.5.1503
Abstract
The aim of this work is to construct a general family of two dimensional differential systems which admits homoclinic solutions near a non-hyperbolic fixed point, such that a Jacobian matrix at this point is zero. We then discretize it by using Euler's method and look after the persistence of the homoclinic solutions in the obtained discrete system.

Tang, Yu-Chao ; Peng, Ji-Gen ; Liu, Li-Wei ;
Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 51, issue 5, 2014, Pages 1527~1538
DOI : 10.4134/BKMS.2014.51.5.1527
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to address the multiple split common fixed point problem. We present two different methods to approximate a solution of the problem. One is cyclic iteration method; the other is simultaneous iteration method. Under appropriate assumptions on the operators and iterative parameters, we prove both the proposed algorithms converge to the solution of the multiple split common fixed point problem. Our results generalize and improve some known results in the literatures.

We consider functions that map the open unit disc conformally onto the complement of an unbounded convex set with opening angle
,
, at infinity. We derive the exact interval for the variability of the real Taylor coefficients of these functions and we prove that the corresponding complex Taylor coefficients of such functions are contained in certain discs lying in the right half plane. In addition, we also determine generalized central functions for the aforesaid class of functions.
