The Environmental Applications of Wireless Sensor Networks

There has been increased interest in wireless sensors in the last few years. This paper provides insight into the properties that make these sensors so attractive, specifically considering their efficiency, data reliability, and the ability to verify the data generated. Some advantages a wireless network presents over traditional information sensing are discussed as well. The paper considers how the environmental field can benefit from using these networks. Some of the possible challenges this industry will face in adopting this new method of data sampling and collection are also considered. A project we conducted raised concern over measures needed for the integrity of the communication system to be maintained, thus ensuring the integrity of the data being collected. From results of an experimental project conducted in York University, the reliability and usefulness of a sensor network is discussed.
A study on Optimizing Mobile 3D Game Engine using JSR-184

This study focuses on modeling mobile 3D game engine and suggesting modified skinned-mesh schema based on JSR-184 in order to improve the performance in terms of memory consumption and time complexity. Most of the 3D games have used OpenGL-ES low-level APls, which may limit portability and fast developing time. Hence, the 3D mobile game engine providing high-level APls which works on GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) phones on J2ME, is proposed here in order to optimize the performance for Java environment abiding JSR-184 standard. To prove performance enhancement, skinned-mesh schema on JSR-184 engine is modified and tested. The experimental results are shown.
Semi-automatic Field Morphing : Polygon-based Vertex Selection and Adaptive Control Line Mapping

Image morphing deals with the metamorphosis of one image into another. The field morphing depends on the manual work for most of the process, where a user has to designate the control lines. It takes time and requires skills to have fine quality results. It is an object of this paper to propose a method capable of realizing the semi-automation of field morphing using adaptive vertex correspondence based on image segmentation. The adaptive vertex correspondence process efficiently generates a pair of control lines by adaptively selecting reference partial contours based on the number of vertices that are included in the partial contour of the source morphing object and in the partial contour of the destination morphing object, in the pair of the partial contour designated by external control points through user input. The proposed method generates visually fluid morphs and warps with an easy-to-use interface. According to the proposed method, a user can shorten the time to set control lines and even an unskilled user can obtain natural morphing results as he or she designates a small number of external control points.
A Technology of Information Data Fusion between Radar and ELINT System

This paper presents a technology of information data fusion between radar and ELINT electronic intelligence system. adar get the information of the range, direction and velocity of targets, and ELINT system get the information of the direction and angular velocity of the same targets at the same place and at the same time. Since we have some common information data of targets from radar and ELINT system, we can find the target on radar is same or not on ELINT system using the information data fusions. If the target on the radar is verified with the same target on ELINT system, we get more information of the target. e can analysis and identify the target exactly and reduce an ambiguity error of unknown targets.
Application of Spectral Properties of Basic Splines in Problems of Processing of Multivariate Signals

The paper is devoted to problem of spline approximation. A new method of nodes location for curves and surfaces computer construction in multidimensional spaces by means of B-splines is presented. The criteria are which links a square-mean error caused by high frequency spline distortions and approximation intervals is determined and necessary theorem is proved. In this method use a theory of entire multidimensional spectra and may be extended for the spaces of three, four and more variables. Future work: application area such as digital contents like animation, game graphic.
A Study on Physical Environment and Consumers' Repatronage Intention

Chinese hotel industry needs to continue consummation. Especially the physical environment direct or the indirect influence to the consumers has not caused the hotel managers enough attention. Chinese hotel industry also lacks to the physical environment whole perception and the understanding. This paper research purposes are: how through that improve the hotel physical hotels. And what's disparities between the Chinese hotel industry in the physical environment and the Western developed country, how needs to improve and so on. Therefore, this paper has mainly studied and analysis the hotel atmosphere, the hotel facility, the hotel cleanliness, the hotel position, customers' overall satisfaction, the repatronage which independent effect, relations and the importance of them in Chinese hotel industry. This paper have made 5 hypotheses to relations of the hotel atmosphere, the hotel facility, the hotel cleanliness, the hotel position and customer's overall satisfaction, the repatronage. We have carried on the questionnaire survey to four hotels, altogether send out to the 250 questionnaires, and have received 202 questionnaires. Through after these analyses, the 1 hypothesis cannot have the data support. Therefore, the conclusions are: the first, the good hotel atmosphere has the positive influence to the consumer overall perception; the second, the higher hotel cleanliness has the positive influence to the consumer overall perception; the third, the convenience hotel position has the positive influence to consumer's perception; the fourth, the consumers' higher overall satisfaction has the positive influence to consumer's repatronage. But the influence of the higher hotel facility to consumers' perception cannot have the enough support from the data.
Design and Implementation of AN Entertainment Golf Robot

Robot has been developed as something to help human beings, and robot will be very important field as an entertainment. This paper intends to contribute to developing golf robot as an entertainment using AVR ATmega Chips. It is believed that the entertaining robot giving a pleasure to human beings has good prospects for the rapid growth along with other robot industry. Golf robot developed in this paper has been developed for entertainment and has a similar sense in comparison with the real golf. This golf robot is represented in the way of putting the ball in the hall by hitting the ball just like the actual golf game and putting through making robot come close to the ball with the putting robot. This golf robot can playa game with several people like the actual golf if many putting robots can be used. It is, therefore, considered that the development of golf robots for entertainment using AVR has a high value of the golf robot as an entertainer on the ground that it can playa real golf.
