A Multiagent System for Workflow-Based Bioinformatics Tool Integration

Various bioinformatics tools for biological data processing have been developed and most of them are available in public. Most bioinformatics works are carried out by a composite application of those tools. Several integration approaches have been proposed for easy use of the tools. This paper proposes a new multi agent system to integrate bioinformatics tools in the perspective of workflow since the composite applications of tools can be regarded as workflows. For the easy integration, the proposed system employs wrapper agents for existing tools, uses XML-based messages in the inter-agent communication, and agents are supposed to extract necessary information from the received messages. This allows new tools to be easily added on the integration framework. The proposed method allows various control structures in workflow definition and provides the progress monitoring capability of the on-going workflows. In particular, agents in this system have the rule-based architecture which allows the defined rule set to be a special role agent. This feature provides fast and flexible agent development to aid in managing the complexity of bioinformatics application. This system has been partially implemented and has been proven to be a viable implementation for workflow-based bioinformatics tool integration.
A Study on Performance Assessment Methods by Using Fuzzy Logic

Performance assessment was introduced to improvement of self-directed learning and method of assessment for differenced learning as the seventh educational curriculum is enforced. Performance assessment is overcoming limitation about problem solving ability and higher thinking abilities assessment that is problem of a written examination and get into the spotlight by way for quality of class and school normalization. But, performance assessment has problems about possibilities of assessment fault by appraisal, fairness, reliability, and validity of grading, ambiguity of grading standard, difficulty about objectivity security etc. This study proposes fuzzy performance assessment system to solve problem of the conventional performance assessment. This paper presented an objective and reliable performance assessment method through fuzzy reasoning, design fuzzy membership function and define fuzzy rule analyzing factor that influence in each sacred ground of performance assessment to account principle subject. Also, performance assessment item divides by formation estimation and subject estimation and designed membership function in proposed performance assessment method. Performance assessment result that is worked through fuzzy performance assessment system can pare down burden about appraisal's fault and provide fair and reliable assessment result through grading that have correct standard and consistency to students.
Adaptive Intelligent Control of Nonlinear dynamic system Using Immune Fuzzy Fusion

Nonlinear dynamic system exist widely in many types of systems such as chemical processes, biomedical processes, and the main steam temperature control system of the thermal power plant. Up to the present time, PID Controllers have been used to operate these systems. However, it is very difficult to achieve an optimal PID gain with no experience, because of the interaction between loops and gain of the PID controller has to be manually tuned by trial and error. This paper suggests control approaches by immune fuzzy for the nonlinear control system inverted pendulum, through computer simulation. This paper defines relationship state variables
using immune fuzzy and applied its results to stability.
Another representation of hand written English alphabets by a sequence of fuzzy sets

In this paper, we describe how to represent lower case hand-written English alphabets by a sequence of two to seven fuzzy sets. Each fuzzy set represents an arc segment of the character and each arc segment is assumed to be a part of an ellipse. The part of an ellipse is defined by five quantities; its short and long radii, its orientation angle, whether it is a part of the lower half or the upper half, and whether it is the full half or a part of a half. Hence, we use the Cartesian product of five fuzzy sets to represent each arc segment. We show that this representation is a translation, rotation, and scaling invariant and that it can be used to generate the hand-written English alphabets. The representation we describe is different from the one proposed earlier by the author and when compared with the previous representation, the one described in this paper simulates more closely the behavior of how one writes English characters.
Design and Implementation of Tele-operation system based on the Haptic Interface

In this paper, we investigate the issues on the design and implementation of tele-operation system based on the haptic interface. Here, the 3-DOF haptic device and the X-Y-Z stage are employed as master controller and slave system respectively. For this master-slave system, the force feedback algorithm, the modeling of virtual environments and the control method of X-Y-Z stage are presented. In this paper, internet network is used for data communication between master and slave. We construct virtual environment of the real convex surface from the force-feedback in controlling the X-Y-Z stage and measuring the force applied by the 3-DOF haptic device.
Fuzzy Modeling and Control of Differential Driving Wheeled Mobile Robot: To Achieve Performance Objective

The dynamics of the DDWMR depends on the velocity difference of the two driving wheels. And which is known as a type of non-holonomic equation. By this reason, the treatment of DDWMR had become difficult and conservative. In this paper, the differential-driving wheeled mobile robot is considered. The Takaki-Surgeno fuzzy model and a control method for DDWMR is presented. The suggested controller has three control elements. The first element is fuzzy state feedback designed for eliminating the dependence of time-varying parameter. The second element is weighting controller which is designed for good frequency response. The third controller is PI-controller which is designed for good command following and robustness with un-modeled dynamics. In order for achieving the performance objective, the design of controller is based on the loop-shaping algorithm.

In the first part an overview on fuzzy sets and fuzzy numbers is given. A detailed treatment of these notions is introduced in [1,2,3]. This sintetically presentation is useful in understanding and in developping the applications in context problems. In the second part, fuzzy context model is given as an application of fuzzy sets and the fuzzy equilibrium equation is solved [4,5].
Human Iris Recognition using Wavelet Transform and Neural Network

Recently, many researchers have been interested in biometric systems such as fingerprint, handwriting, key-stroke patterns and human iris. From the viewpoint of reliability and robustness, iris recognition is the most attractive biometric system. Moreover, the iris recognition system is a comfortable biometric system, since the video image of an eye can be taken at a distance. In this paper, we discuss human iris recognition, which is based on accurate iris localization, robust feature extraction, and Neural Network classification. The iris region is accurately localized in the eye image using a multiresolution active snake model. For the feature representation, the localized iris image is decomposed using wavelet transform based on dyadic Haar wavelet. Experimental results show the usefulness of wavelet transform in comparison to conventional Gabor transform. In addition, we present a new method for setting initial weight vectors in competitive learning. The proposed initialization method yields better accuracy than the conventional method.
Intelligent Digital Controller Using Digital Redesign

In this paper, a systematic design method of the intelligent PAM fuzzy controller for nonlinear systems using the efficient tools-Linear Matrix Inequality and the intelligent digital redesign is proposed. In order to digitally control the nonlinear systems, the TS fuzzy model is used for fuzzy modeling of the given nonlinear system. The convex representation technique also can be utilized for obtaining TS fuzzy models. First, the analog fuzzy-model-based controller is designed such that the closed-loop system is globally asymptotically stable in the sense of Lyapunov stability criterion. The simulation results strongly convince us that the proposed method has great potential in the application to the industry.

Data are an expression of the language or numerical values that show some features. And the information is extracted from data for the specific purposes. The knowledge is utilized as information to construct rules that recognize patterns or make a decision. Today, knowledge extraction and application of that are broadly accomplished for the easy comprehension and the performance improvement of systems in the several industrial fields. The knowledge extraction can be achieved by some steps that include the knowledge acquisition, expression, and implementation. Such extracted knowledge is drawn by rules with data mining techniques. Clustering (CL), input space partition (ISP), neuro-fuzzy (NF), neural network (NN), extension matrix (EM), etc. are employed for the knowledge expression based upon rules. In this paper, the various approaches of the knowledge extraction are surveyed and categorized by methodologies and applied industrial fields. Also, the trend and examples of each approaches are shown in the tables and graphes using the categories such as CL, ISP, NF, NN, EM, and so on.

In this paper, we generally introduce some of the terminology of Yalvac  and Azad  in intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces. In addition to the fundamental concepts of intuitionistic fuzzy sets, we emphasize the usefulness of the concepts of intuitionistic fuzzy points intuitionistic fuzzy elementhood. Mainly, this paper is devoted to the study of intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces with specific attention to the weaker forms of fuzzy continuity.
Obstacle Avoidance Methods in the Chaotic Mobile Robot with Integrated some Chaos Equation

In this paper, we propose a method to avoid obstacles that have unstable limit cycles in a chaos trajectory surface. We assume all obstacles in the chaos trajectory surface have a Van der Pol equation with an unstable limit cycle. When a chaos robot meets an obstacle in an Arnold equation or Chua's equation trajectory, the obstacle reflects the robot. We also show computer simulation results of Arnold equation and Chua's equation and random walk chaos trajectories with one or more Van der Pol obstacles and compare the coverage rates of each trajectory. We show that the Chua's equation is slightly more efficient in coverage rates when two robots are used, and the optimal number of robots in either the Arnold equation or the Chua's equation is also examined.
Personalized Agent Modeling by Modified Spreading Neural Network

Generally, we want to be searched the newest as well as some appropriate personalized information from the internet resources. However, it is a complex and repeated procedure to search some appropriate information. Moreover, because the user's interests are changed as time goes, the real time modeling of a user's interests should be necessary. In this paper, I propose PREA system that can search and filter documents that users are interested from the World Wide Web. And then it constructs the user's interest model by a modified spreading neural network. Based on this network, PREA can easily produce some queries to search web documents, and it ranks them. The conventional spreading neural network does not have a visualization function, so that the users could not know how to be configured his or her interest model by the network. To solve this problem, PREA gives a visualization function being shown how to be made his interest user model to many users.
Query Space Exploration Model Using Genetic Algorithm

Information retrieval must be able to search the most suitable document that user need from document set. If foretell document adaptedness by similarity degree about QL(Query Language) of document, documents that search person does not require are searched. In this paper, showed that can search the most suitable document on user's request searching document of the whole space using genetic algorithm and used knowledge-base operator to solve various model's problem.
Semiparametric Kernel Fisher Discriminant Approach for Regression Problems

Recently, support vector learning attracts an enormous amount of interest in the areas of function approximation, pattern classification, and novelty detection. One of the main reasons for the success of the support vector machines(SVMs) seems to be the availability of global and sparse solutions. Among the approaches sharing the same reasons for success and exhibiting a similarly good performance, we have KFD(kernel Fisher discriminant) approach. In this paper, we consider the problem of function approximation utilizing both predetermined basis functions and the KFD approach for regression. After reviewing support vector regression, semi-parametric approach for including predetermined basis functions, and the KFD regression, this paper presents an extension of the conventional KFD approach for regression toward the direction that can utilize predetermined basis functions. The applicability of the presented method is illustrated via a regression example.
Species Adaptation Evolutionary Algorithm for Solving the Optimization Problems

Living creatures maintain their variety through speciation, which helps them to have more fitness for an environment. So evolutionary algorithm based on biological evolution must maintain variety in order to adapt to its environment. In this paper, we utilize the concept of speciation. Each individual of population creates their offsprings using mutation, and next generation consists of them. Each individual explores search space determined by mutation. Useful search space is extended by differentiation, then population explorers whole search space very effectively. If evolvable hardware evolves through mutation, it is useful way to explorer search space because of less varying inner structure. We verify the effectiveness of the proposed method by applying it to two optimization problems.
Stock and News Application of Intelligent Agent System

Recently, there has been active research conducted on the intelligent agent in various fields. The results have been widely applied to intelligent user-friendly interfaces. In this system, we modeled, designed, and implemented an intelligent agent system that can be applied to stock and news. Some procedures such as login sequence to the web site, process to get stock information, setting stock in concern, intelligent news system module, news analysis module, and news learning module are modeled in detail and described in block diagram level. In our experiment on stock system, it showed quite a useful alarming screen avatar result and also on news system. it successfully rearranged the order of the news according to the user's preferences.
Tele-operated Control of an Autonomous Mobile Robot Using a Virtual Force-reflection

In this paper, the relationship between a slave robot and the uncertain remote environment is modeled as the impedance to generate the virtual force to feed back to the operator. For the control of a tele-operated mobile robot equipped with camera, the tele-operated mobile robot take pictures of remote environment and sends the visual information back to the operator over the Internet. Because of the limitation of communication bandwidth and narrow view-angles of camera, it is not possible to watch the environment clearly, especially shadow and curved areas. To overcome this problem, the virtual force is generated according to both the distance between the obstacle and robot and the approaching velocity of the obstacle. This virtual force is transferred back to the master over the Internet and the master(two degrees of freedom joystick), which can generate force, enables a human operator to estimate the position of obstacle in the remote environment. By holding this master, in spite of limited visual information, the operator can feel the spatial sense against the remote environment. This force reflection improves the performance of a tele-operated mobile robot significantly.

In this paper, we wish to construct a optimal traffic cycle using wire remote control. if police vehicle or ambulance suddenly enter the traffic Intersection, it will increase the traffic accident. In this paper, wireless traffic light use the radio traffic control signal and research about the hardware manufacture to check special detectors on urgency vehicles may safety and rapidly enter traffic intersection. Also, this paper present a traffic signal control conditions that analyzes different traffic intersection flows in cases of saturated flows, where the real traffic volume demand is large and the capacity constraints of bottlenecks have significant effects on the flow patterns. Through computer simulation this wireless traffic light has been proven to be much more safety and efficient than fixed traffic signal light which does not consider emergency vehicles for safety escort.

The aim of this paper is to introduce the concept
-connectedness in fuzzy topological spaces. We also investigate some interre lations between this types of fuzzy connectedness together with the preservation properties under some types of fuzzy continuity. A comparison between some types of connectedness in fuzzy topological spaces is of interest.
