Performance Evaluation of Block Error of FS MC-CDMA System in Various Nakagami Fading Channels

In this paper, we discusses that the theoretical analysis is made for the performance of FS MC-CDMA by the aid of the Nakagami fading channels and the block error probabilities of the FS MC-CDMA in Nakagami fading channel are presented. The channel fading speed, slow or fast, is considered in evaluating block error probabilities. The effectiveness of diversity combining in improving block error performance is examined.
Improved Blind Cyclic Algorithm for Detection of Orthogonal Space-Time Block Codes

In this paper, we consider the detection of orthogonal space-time block codes (OSTBCs) without channel state information (CSI) at the receiver. Based on the conventional blind cyclic decoder, we propose an enhanced blind cyclic decoder which has higher system performance than the conventional one. Furthermore, the proposed decoder offers low complexity since it does not require the computation of singular value decomposition.
Enhanced MAC Scheme to Support QoS Based on Network Detection over Wired-cum-Wireless Network

In these days, wireless data services are becoming ubiquitous in our daily life because they offers several fundamental benefits including user mobility, rapid installation, flexibility, and scalability. Moreover, the requests for various multimedia services and the Quality of Service (QoS) support have been one of key issues in wireless data communications. Therefore the research relative to Medium Access Control (MAC) has been progressing rapidly. Especially a number of QoS-aware MAC schemes have been introduced to extend the legacy IEEE 802.11 MAC protocol which has not guaranteed any service differentiation. However, none of those schemes fulfill both QoS features and channel efficiency although these support the service differentiation based on priority. Therefore this paper studies a novel MAC scheme, referred to as Enhanced Distributed Coordination Function with Network Adaptation (EDCF-NA), for enhancements of both QoS and medium efficiency. It uses a smart factor denoted by ACK rate and Network Load Threshold (TH). In this paper, we study how the value of TH has effect on MAC performance and how the use of optimal TH pair improves the overall MAC performance in terms of the QoS, channel utilization, collision rate, and fairness. In addition, we evaluate and compare both the performance of EDCF-NA depending on several pairs of TH and the achievement of various MAC protocols through simulations by using Network Simulator-2 (NS-2).

A New Multiuser Receiver for the Application Of Space-time Coded OFDM Systems

In this work, a novel optimal multiuser detection (MUD) approach, which not only achieves the optimal maximum-likelihood (ML)-like performance but also has reasonably low computational complexity, for Space-time coded OFDM (ST-OFDM) systems is presented. In the proposed detection scheme, the signal model is firstly re-expressed into linearly equivalent one. Then, with the linearly equivalent signal model, a new jointly MUD algorithm is proposed to detect signals. The ML-like bit-error-rate (BER) performance and reasonably low complexity of the proposed detection are verified by computer simulations.
Effects of Thermal Treatment on the Characteristics of Spiral Inductors on Bragg Reflectors

This paper presents the thermal technique to improve characteristic of planar spiral inductors. The spiral inductors were fabricated on silicon dioxide/silicon (SiO2/Si) wafer. The thermal treatment was done by annealing processes. The measure results showed a considerable improvement of return loss (Sl1). This thermal treatment seems very promising for enhancing spiral inductors based RF IC's.

Thin Films Fabricated by Ion Beam Sputtering Method

] thin film is fabricatedvia two different processes using an ion beam sputtering method i.e. co-deposition and layer-by-layer deposition. A single phase of Bi2212 can be fabricated via the co-deposition process. While it cannot be obtained by the layer-by-layer process. Ultra-low growth rate in our ion beam sputtering system brings out the difference in Bi element adsorption between the two processes and results in only 30% adsorption against total incident Bi amount by layer-by-layer deposition, in contrast to enough Bi adsorption by co-deposition.
A Study on the Bandwidth Efficient Self-Cancellation Scheme of Interchannel Interference (ICI) For OFDM Transmission Systems

This paper presents a bandwidth efficient self-cancellation scheme for interchannel interference (ICI) in OFDM transmission systems. Conventional self-cancellation schemes provide an excellent cancellation capability of ICI for relatively low frequency offsets. However, this capability is achieved at the expense of bandwidth efficiency and thus a higher modulation level is often used to compensate for desired throughput. By applying a partial differential coding (PDC) to the transmit data prior to the ICI self-cancellation, bandwidth efficiency is greatly improved by a factor of 2, while maintaining a string of data (+1, -1) alternately for the ICI. self-cancellation in OFDM systems. Computer simulations show that the performance of the proposed scheme is comparable to the conventional self-cancellation scheme with slight performance degradation for relatively lower frequency offsets.
One Pass Identification processing Password-based

Almost all network systems provide an authentication mechanism based on user ID and password. In such system, it is easy to obtain the user password using a sniffer program with illegal eavesdropping. The one-time password and challenge-response method are useful authentication schemes that protect the user passwords against eavesdropping. In client/server environments, the one-time password scheme using time is especially useful because it solves the synchronization problem. In this paper, we present a new identification scheme: OPI(One Pass Identification). The security of OPI is based on the square root problem, and OPI is secure: against the well known attacks including pre-play attack, off-line dictionary attack and server comprise. A number of pass of OPI is one, and OPI processes the password and does not need the key. We think that OPI is excellent for the consuming time to verify the prover.
The Study of Single Phase Source Stability consider for The DSC Cell's Operation Character by Controlled Feed-back Circuit

Recently, with increasing efficiency of DSC (photo-electrochemical using a nano-particle), The Performance of DSC solar generation system also needs improvement. The approach consists of a Fly-back DC-DC (transfer ratio 1:10) converter to boost the DSC cell voltage to 300VDC. The four switch (MOSFET) inverter is employed to produce 220V, 60Hz AC outputs. High performance, easy manufacturability, lower component count., safety and cost are addressed. Protection and diagnostic features form an important part of the design. Another highlight of the proposed design is the control strategy, which allows the inverter to adapt to the: requirements of the load as well as the power source. A unique aspect of the design is the use of the DSP TMS320LF2406 to control the inverter by current and voltage feed-back. Efficient and smooth control of the: power drawn from the DSC Cell is achieved by controlling the front end DC-DC converter in current mode.
A Text Detection Method Using Wavelet Packet Analysis and Unsupervised Classifier

In this paper we present a text detection method inspired by wavelet packet analysis and improved fuzzy clustering algorithm(IAFC).This approach assumes that the text and non-text regions are considered as two different texture regions. The text detection is achieved by using wavelet packet analysis as a feature analysis. The wavelet packet analysis is a method of wavelet decomposition that offers a richer range of possibilities for document image. From these multi scale features, we adapt the improved fuzzy clustering algorithm based on the unsupervised learning rule. The results show that our text detection method is effective for document images scanned from newspapers and journals.
