U.S. Obama government is submit a motion to consider cyber attacks on State as a war. 7.7DDoS attack in Korea in 2009 and 3.4 DDoS attacks 2011, the country can be considered about cyber attacks. China hackers access a third country, bypassing South Korea IP by hacking the e-commerce sites with fake account, that incident was damaging finance. In this paper, for WiBro service, DDoS attacks, hackers, security incidents and vulnerabilities to the analysis. From hacker's attack, WiBro service's prognostic relevance by analyzing symptoms and attacks, in real time, Divide Red, Orange, Yellow, Green belonging to the risk rating. For hackers to create a blacklist, to defend against attacks in real-time air-conditioning system is the study of security. WiBro networks for incident tracking and detection after the packets through the national incident response should contribute to the development of technology.
A Study on the Spatial Analysis Model to Decide Medical Institutions/Mental Health Centers for Disaster Victims

The National Emergency Management Agency of South Korea has established a Disaster Victims Psychology Support Center. The Disaster Victims Psychology Support Center can enable victims who got psychological damage from disasters to return to their daily lives through healing activity, field visits and advice of experts. The previous Psychology Support Center System managed the information of disaster victims through an independent database. However, this paper proposes a system that is developed to identify medical institutions and mental health centers within a distance of radius, based on the potential Hot-Spot areas of disaster victims using the GIS Systems. The proposed system can efficiently support selection of appropriate institutions for disaster victims using their location and age, classification of damage, and damaged parts of the body. Also, this spatial analysis can assist to decide on a policy based on the location of disaster victims and the extent of damage. Therefore, this paper can provide the required information to support decision making based on the concentrated areas for disaster victims.
Propagation Analysis of DGPS Antenna for Radial Ground and Obstacle

The DGPS transmits the enhancement signal to GPS using the medium frequency band. The NDGPS service that covers the Korean peninsula has been started since 2009. The service area of ocean-based DGPS(maritime-DGPS) reference stations covers the 100NM, but land-based DGPS(land-DGPS) covers 80km service area less than that of maritime DGPS. The DGPS's antenna has the top-loaded monopole antenna type. Top-loaded monopoles are the logical antennas to be used in order to get a low profile antenna and a performance according to the broadcaster and communication needs. The antenna needs to get the ground plane with good conductivity characteristics and flat ground plane without obstacle near to the transmitting antenna. In this paper, the radiation characteristics of an equivalent MF antenna are analyzed in view points of the ground conductivity and the ground plane with obstacle near to the antenna.
Chaotic Predictability for Time Series Forecasts of Maximum Electrical Power using the Lyapunov Exponent

Generally the neural network and the Fuzzy compensative algorithms are applied to forecast the time series for power demand with the characteristics of a nonlinear dynamic system, but, relatively, they have a few prediction errors. They also make long term forecasts difficult because of sensitivity to the initial conditions. In this paper, we evaluate the chaotic characteristic of electrical power demand with qualitative and quantitative analysis methods and perform a forecast simulation of electrical power demand in regular sequence, attractor reconstruction and a time series forecast for multi dimension using Lyapunov Exponent (L.E.) quantitatively. We compare simulated results with previous methods and verify that the present method is more practical and effective than the previous methods. We also obtain the hourly predictability of time series for power demand using the L.E. and evaluate its accuracy.
Design of an Intelligent Controller for Waste Water Heat Pump Recycled Energy Systems

This study is intended to realize an intelligent controller using fuzzy control algorithms in order to recycle energy by recycling the waste water heat discharged by waste water heat collection boilers. Using waste water inflow temperature changes and waste water inflow amount changes as parameters, we present characteristic curves of the number of compressors being operated at fixed speeds and the temperature of hot water being discharged. We propose an intelligent controller that determines the optimum number of compressors being operated at fixed speeds in real time by measuring changes in the temperature and amount of waste water inflows in order to minimize the number of compressors being operated at fixed speeds relative to the waste water load flowing into the waste water heat collection boiler.
Process Evaluation Model based on Goal-Scenario for Business Activity Monitoring

The scope of the problems that could be solved by monitoring and the improvement of the recognition time is directly correlated to the performance of the management function of the business process. However, the current monitoring process of business activities decides whether to apply warnings or not by assuming a fixed environment and showing expressions based on the design rules. Also, warnings are applied by carrying out the measuring process when the event attribute values are inserted at every point. Therefore, there is a limit for distinguishing the range of occurrence and the level of severity in regard to the new external problems occurring in a complicated environment. Such problems cannot be ed. Also, since it is difficult to expand the range of problems which can be possibly evaluated, it is impossible to evaluate any unexpected situation which could occur in the execution period. In this paper, a process-evaluating model based on the goal scenario is suggested to provide constant services through the current monitoring process in regard to the service demands of the new scenario which occurs outside. The new demands based on the outside situation are analyzed according to the goal scenario for the process activities. Also, by using the meta-heuristic algorithm, a similar process model is found and identified by combining similarity and interrelationship. The process can be stopped in advance or adjusted to the wanted direction.
Spatial Multiplexing Receivers in UWB MIMO Systems based on Prerake Combining

In this paper, various ultra-wideband (UWB) spatial multiplxing (SM) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) receivers based on a prerake diversity combining scheme are discussed and their performance is analyzed. Several UWB MIMO detection approaches such as zero forcing (ZF), minimum mean square error (MMSE), ordered successive interference cancellation (OSIC), sorted QR decomposition (SQRD), and maximum likelihood (ML) are considered in order to cope with inter-channel interference. The UWB SM systems based on transmitter-side multipath preprocessing and receiver-side MIMO detection can either boost the transmission data rate or offer significant diversity gain and improved BER performance. The error performance and complexity of linear and nonlinear detection algorithms are comparatively studied on a lognormal multipath fading channel.
A Cooperative Spectrum Sensing Scheme with an Adaptive Energy Threshold in Cognitive Radios

Cognitive radio (CR) technique is a useful tool for improving spectrum utilization by detecting and using the vacant frequency bands while avoiding interference to the primary user. The sensing performance in a CR network can be improved by allowing some CR users to perform cooperative spectrum sensing. In this paper, we propose a new sensing algorithm that utilizes an adaptive energy threshold for cooperative spectrum sensing in which a changeable energy threshold is adopted by the CR users for improving local sensing performance. Through the proposed scheme, the reliability of global decision can be enhanced mainly due to the improvement in local sensing performance.
P2P Network Simulation System for Performance Evaluation in Convergence Networks

P2P(peer to Peer) network is a distributed network architecture composed of participants that make a portion of their resources directly available to other network participants, without the need for a central server. Currently, convergence network industry using wired and mobile are grows rapidly. So P2P protocols will be used between mobile and wired network. But current P2P protocols are focused on the wired networks only and there are no simulators for performance analysis of mobile P2P. In this paper, we design a P2P simulation system for performance analysis of P2P protocols in mobile, wired and convergence networks. It is constructed by a well-known mobile network simulator and wired based P2P protocol simulator. Finally we have implemented a smart TV test-bed using our P2P test-bed for convergence networks.

Considerations for green house gas (GHG) monitoring over next generation network (NGN) are regarded as a green convergence service for the successful reduction of GHG emission leading to resolve global warming issue in that NGN is expected to provide secure connections to fixed-and-mobile converged (FMC) features. Model-based scenario approach is an appropriate way to standardize and actualize the desired service. This paper first describes the service scenario of GHG monitoring service over NGN.
A Conflict-Avoided Resource Reservation using Reservation Diversity for UWB WPAN with Distributed MAC Protocol

In this paper, a conflict-avoided resource reservation scheme for UWB (Ultra Wide Band) WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network) with D-MAC (Distributed Medium Access Control) is proposed. Since distributed characteristic of the WiMedia D-MAC supporting DRP (Distributed Reservation Protocol) scheme may cause lots of conflicts, overall performances of the WiMedia D-MAC can be deteriorated. In addition, once a DRP conflict occurs, only one of the DRP reservations involved in that DRP conflict maintains the reserved MASs, while the other DRP reservation must be terminated and DRP negotiations for them have to be re-started. Such DRP termination and renegotiation time delays due to the DRP conflicts can be a critical problem to the mobile devices transceiving real-time QoS traffic streams. Therefore, we propose a mechanism to avoid DRP conflicts by providing a kind of path diversity using relay transmission scheme and demonstrate its performance improvements via simulation results.
An Adaptive Drop Marker for Edge Routers in DiffServ Networks

In this paper, we propose an Adaptive Regulating Drop (ARD) marker, as a novel dropping strategy at the ingressive edge router, to improve TCP fairness in assured services (ASs) without a decrease in the link utilization. To drop packets pertinently, the ARD marker adaptively changes a Temporary Permitted Rate (TPR) for aggregate TCP flows. The TPR is set larger than the current input IN packet rate of aggregate TCP flows while inversely proportional to the measured input OUT packet rate. To reduce the excessive use of greedy TCP flows by notifying droppings of their IN packets constantly to them without a decrease in the link utilization, the ARD marker performs random early fair remarking of their excessive IN packets to OUT packets at the aggregate flow level according to the TPR. In addition, an aggregate dropper is combined to drop some excessive IN packets fairly and constantly according to the TPR. Thus, the throughput of a TCP flow no more depends on only the sporadic and unfair OUT packet droppings at the RIO buffer in the core router. Then, the ARD marker regulates the packet transmission rate of each TCP flow to the contract rate by increasing TCP fairness, without a decrease in the link utilization.
Bicubic Splines in Problems of Modeling of Multidimensional Signals

The paper is devoted to problem of spline modeling of multidimensional signals. A new method of nodes location for curves and surfaces computer construction in multidimensional spaces by means of B-splines is presented. The criteria are which links a square-mean error caused by high frequency spline distortions and approximation intervals is determined and necessary theorem is proved. In this method use a theory of entire multidimensional spectra and may be extended for the spaces of three, four and more variables.

Design of an FPGA-based IP Using SPARTAN-3E Embedded system

Recent semiconductor design technology has been substantially developed that we can design a micro-system on a chip as well as implementing an application specific IC in an FPGA. SPARTAN-3E developed by Xilinx is equipped with an FPGA that holds as much as 500 thousand transistors connected with MicroBlaze softcore microprocessor bus system. In this paper, we discuss a method of implementing an embedded system using the SPARTAN-3E. We also explain the peripherals and the bus protocols and the expandability of this kind of embedded systems.
Cryptanalysis of Multiple-Server Password-Authenticated Key Agreement Schemes Using Smart Cards

Password-based user-authentication schemes have been widely used when users access a server to avail internet services. Multiserver password-authentication schemes enable remote users to obtain service from multiple servers without separately registering with each server. In 2008, Jia-Lun Tsai proposed an improved and efficient password-authenticated key agreement scheme for a multiserver architecture based on Chang-Lee's scheme proposed in 2004. However, we found that Tsai's scheme does not provide forward secrecy and is weak to insider impersonation and denial of service attacks. In this article, we describe the drawbacks of Tsai's scheme and provide a countermeasure to satisfy the forward secrecy property.
An Arithmetic System over Finite Fields

This paper propose the method of constructing the highly efficiency adder and multiplier systems over finite fields. The addition arithmetic operation over finite field is simple comparatively because that addition arithmetic operation is analyzed by each digit modP summation independently. But in case of multiplication arithmetic operation, we generate maximum k=2m-2 degree of
terms, therefore we decrease k into m-1 degree using irreducible primitive polynomial. We propose two method of control signal generation for the purpose of performing above decrease process. One method is the combinational logic expression and the other method is universal signal generation. The proposed method of constructing the highly adder/multiplier systems is as following. First of all, we obtain algorithms for addition and multiplication arithmetic operation based on the mathematical properties over finite fields, next we construct basic cell of A-cell and M-cell using T-gate and modP cyclic gate. Finally we construct adder module and multiplier module over finite fields after synthesizing
generation module and control signal CSt generation module with A-cell and M-cell. Next, we constructing the arithmetic operation unit over finite fields. Then, we propose the future research and prospects.

Radio frequency identification (RFID) tags are cheap and simple devices that can store unique identification information and perform simple computation to keep better inventory of packages. Security protocol for RFID tags is needed to ensure privacy and authentication between each tag and their reader. In order to accomplish this, in this paper, we analyzed a lightweight privacy and authentication protocol for passive RFID tags.
A Method for Improving Accuracy of Image Matching Algorithm for Car Navigation System

Recently, various in-vehicle networks have been developed respectively in order to accomplish their own purposes such as CAN and MOST. Especially, the MOST network is usually adapted to provide entertainment service. The car navigation system is also widely used for guiding driving paths to driver. The position for the navigation system is usually acquired by GPS technology. However, the GPS technique has two serious problems. The first is unavailability in urban canyons. The second is inherent positional error rate. The problems have been studied in many literatures. However, the second still leads to incorrect locational information in some area, especially parallel roads. This paper proposes a performance tuning method of image matching algorithm for the car navigation system. The method utilizes images obtained from in-vehicle MOST network and a real-time image matching algorithm which determines the direction of moving vehicle in parallel section of road. In order to accuracy improvement of image matching algorithm, three conditions are applied. The experimental tests show that the proposed system increases the accuracy.
A Study on the Context-Aware Reasoning Filtering Mechanism in USN

Context-awareness system can provide an optimized services to users. Analyzing physical and complex circumstance elements which give direct or indirect influence to users can tell what users want. However, there are various situation informations around users and it requires high level technology to extract the service what users really want among those informations. The circumstance of the user can be changed from moment to moment, even the service what users want also can be changed in every minutes. Recently the researches to provide the service which a user demands has been progressed actively. Web based filtering method which reaches commercialization is a one of good examples. This method extracts necessary data according to users' demands from the documents on the Web or multimedia informations. However, there is a limit to use it to provide Context-awareness service because it extracts static data, not dynamic data. There is also other researches with a rule based filtering method in progress to filter situation information but this method doesn't have mechanism for dynamic data as well. We would like to solve these problems by providing a dynamic situation information filtering mechanism applying an weighted value about each property of objects and also applying Web based dynamic categories in this paper when unnecessary data should be filtered.
Study on Query Type and Data Structure for Mobile Meteorological Services

For the mobile meteorological services, sensed data should be gathered at a server from various clients like as Ubiquitous Sensor Network, mobile phone or public traffic vehicle by wireless network. The gathered data at server have huge volume and increase continuously. Therefore, a special query method and data structure should be considered. This paper studies on all possible query type on the data and processing steps for the mobile meteorological services. Some query spaces will be discussed. After that, this paper proposes effective data structure for the sensed data to support the query types.
Influence of Surface Texturing on the Electrical and Optical Properties of Aluminum Doped Zinc Oxide Thin Films

An aluminum doped zinc oxide (AZO) film for front contacts of thin film solar cells, in this work, were deposited by r.f. magnetron sputtering, and then etched in diluted hydrochloric acid solution for different times. Effects of surface texturing on the electro-optical properties of AZO films were investigated. Also, to clarify the light trapping of textured AZO film, amorphous silicon thin film solar cells were fabricated on the textured AZO/glass substrate and the performance of solar cells were studied. After texturing, the spectral haze at the visible range of 400 ~750 nm increased substantially with the etching time, without a change in the resistivity. The conversion efficiency of amorphous Si solar cells with textured AZO film as a front electrode was improved by the increase of short-circuit current density (
), compared to cell with flat AZO films.
Cancer Cell Recognition by Fuzzy Logic

This paper proposes the new method based on fuzzy logic which recognizes between normal and abnormal. The object image was the Thyroid Gland cell image that was diagnosed as normal and abnormal(two types of abnormal : follicular neoplastic cell, and papillary neoplastic cell), respectively. The nuclei were successfully diagnosed as normal and abnormal. The multiple feature parameters (pre-obtained 16 feature parameters of image data) were used to extract the features of each nucleus. As a consequence of using fuzzy logic algorithm, proposed in this paper, average recognition rate of 98.25% was obtained.
Approximation Algorithms for Scheduling Parallel Jobs with More Machines

In parallel job scheduling, each job can be executed simultaneously on multiple machines at a time. Thus in the input instance, a job
requires the number
of machines on which it shall be processed. The algorithm should determine not only the execution order of jobs but also the machines on which the jobs are executed. In this paper, when the jobs have deadlines, the problem is to maximize the total work of jobs which is completed by their deadlines. The problem is known to be strongly NP-hard  and we investigate the approximation algorithms for the problem. We consider a model in which the algorithm can have more machines than the adversary. With this advantage, the problem is how good solution the algorithm can produce against the optimal algorithm.
Estimation of Water Quality of Fish Farms using Multivariate Statistical Analysis

In this research, we have attempted to estimate the water quality of fish farms in terms of parameters such as water temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, and salinity by employing observational data obtained from a coastal ocean observatory of a national institution located close to the fish farm. We requested and received marine data comprising nine factors including water temperature from Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Administration. For verifying our results, we also established an experimental fish farm in which we directly placed the sensor module of an optical mode, YSI-6920V2, used for self-cleaning inside fish tanks and used the data measured and recorded by a environment monitoring system that was communicating serially with the sensor module. We investigated the differences in water temperature and salinity among three areas - Goheung Balpo, Yeosu Odongdo, and the experimental fish farm, Keumho. Water temperature did not exhibit significant differences but there was a difference in salinity (significance <5%). Further, multiple regression analysis was performed to estimate the water quality of the fish farm at Keumho based on the data of Goheung Balpo. The water temperature and dissolved-oxygen estimations had multiple regression linear relationships with coefficients of determination of 98% and 89%, respectively. However, in the case of the pH and salinity estimated using the oceanic environment with nine factors, the adjusted coefficient of determination was very low at less than 10%, and it was therefore difficult to predict the values. We plotted the predicted and measured values by employing the estimated regression equation and found them to fit very well; the values were close to the regression line. We have demonstrated that if statistical model equations that fit well are used, the expense of fish-farm sensor and system installations, maintenances, and repairs, which is a major issue with existing environmental information monitoring systems of marine farming areas, can be reduced, thereby making it easier for fish farmers to monitor aquaculture and mariculture environments.
