THE HOMOLOGY HOMOMORPHISM INDUCED BY HARER MAP

Abstract
We study a natural map from the braid group to the mapping class group which is called Harer map. It is rather new and different from the classical map which was studied in 1980's by F. Cohen, J. Harer et al. We show that this map is homologically trivial for most coefficients by using the fact that this map factors through the symmetric group.

Abstract
We obtain a theorem that shows the existence of multiple solutions for the mixed type nonlinear elliptic equation with Dirichlet boundary condition. Here the nonlinear part contain the jumping nonlinearity and the subcritical growth nonlinearity. We first show the existence of a positive solution and next find the second nontrivial solution by applying the variational method and the mountain pass method in the critical point theory. By investigating that the functional I satisfies the mountain pass geometry we show the existence of at least two nontrivial solutions for the equation.

Abstract
We used SAS program in statistics class as a plan to increase effect of class. Because lease cost of SAS program is high and low-level students felt difficulty of the syntax of SAS program, I planned to introduce other instruction-software. We observe whether it's O.K. to use Excel instead of SAS program and Excel is helpful in having positive attitudes. We try to compare and analyze the merits of two programs. The purpose of this study is to apply Excel to statistics class, cut down the cost of instruction-software, and make students understand statistics more conveniently and easily.

We obtain this result by the finite dimensional reduction method which reduces the critical point results of the infinite dimensional space to those of the finite dimensional subspace. We also use the critical point theory and the variational method.

Abstract
In this paper, the self-evaluation, the peer-evaluation and the instructor evaluation on virtual mathematics lesson have been performed. The method of checking on the given evaluation item have been used. In result, a lot of difference was shown between self-evaluation, peer-evaluation and the instructor-evaluation toward virtual mathematics lesson. Pre-service teachers were shown as lacking awareness on instructional Virtual Mathematics Lesson' evaluation. Therefore it seems that we must have the opportunity to reflect on the teaching method through a great deal of experience on self-evaluation and peer-evaluation of virtual lessons.
