(0 < p < 1, p + q > 2) Spaces
Yuanze, Jin ; Fuchong, Xing ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 145~145
Abstract
Let Z =
be a finite or infinite sequence of (possibly repeated) points in the extended complex plane,
> l (k = 1, 2 ,
, n). By R(z) we denote the class of rational functions with poles among the points occuring in Z and of a maximal multi. plicity equal to the number of repetitions. Let
(f, Z) be the best approximation error of the function f(z) by the functions of R(z) class in
(0 < p < 1, p + q >2) spaces. Denoting
, we obtained the following main result in this paper

On Composition of Multidimensional Integral Operators Involving General Polynomials and a Multivariable H-Function
Gupta, K.C. ; Jain, Rashmi ; Agrawal, Pawan ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 151~151
Abstract
In the present paper we obtain three new and interesting composition formulae of a class of multidimensional fractional integral operators involving the product of the generalized polynomials
and the multivariable H-function. On account of the most general nature of the functions used here as kernels, the main results of our paper are unified in nature and capable of yielding a very large number of corresponding results (new and known) involving simpler special functions and polynomials (of one or more variables) as special cases of our formulae. We give here exact references of the five results obtained by
[1], Goyal and Jain [10], Gupta and Jain [9], Goyal et al.[11], Srivastava et al.[5] which follow as special case of our findings. Thus the present study unifies and extends a number of composition formulae lying scattered in the literature.

Meromorphic Multivalent Functions with Positive and Fixed Second Coefficients
Joshi, S.B. ; Aouf, M.K. ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 163~163
Abstract
In this paper we consider the class
(p; A, B) consisting of regular and p-valent functions in the punctured disc D = {z : 0 <
< 1} and with fixed second coefficients. In the present paper we have obtained coefficient inequalities for the class
(p; A, B). Also we have shown that the class
(p; A, B) is closed under arithmetic mean and convex linear combinations. Lastly we have obtained the radius of convexity for the class
(p; A, B). Various results obtained in this paper are shown to be sharp.

Abstract
We give a few relationships between the magnitudes of p-adic differences of any differentiable function f(x) and the p-adic values of its so-called Mahler coefficients
which include answer of Mahler's problem as a special case.

On Some Integral Inequalities of Hardy Type
Salem, Sh. ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 193~193
Abstract
In this paper we establish some new integral inequalities which originate from Hardy's inequality. The analysis used in this paper is based on the idea used by Levinson to obtain the generalizations of Hardy's integral inequality.

A Note on Multiplication Modules and Their Rings of Endomorphisms
Naoum, Adil G. ; Al-Aubaidy, Wassan K.H. ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 223~223
Abstract
Let R be a commutative ring with 1, and let M be a (left) unitary R-module, let S = End(M) be the ring of R-endomorphisms of M. In this paper we look at some ring theoretic and module theoretic properties and try to see how do they transfer between R, S and M. Recall that an R-module M is said to be a multiplication R-module if each sub-module N of M has the form IM for some ideal I of R, [2]. In
of this note we look at each of the Noetherian and Artinian properties and in
, we look at the regularity of R, and try to see how do they transfer to S.

Partial Rings and Rartial Fields
Abd-Allah, A.M. ; Omar, R.A-K. ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 229~229
Abstract
The notions of partial groups and partial monoids and their basic properties have given in [1, 3]. These two notions are used in this paper to define that of partial rings with identities and partial fields. It has been proved that a partial ring with identities (partial field) is a strong semilattice of rings with identities (fields). The structure theorem, basic properties and some examples have been given.

A Note on Prime and Semiprime Bi-Ideals
Roux, H J le ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 243~243
Abstract
The purpose of this note is to extend the results of prime and semiprime bi-ideals of associative rings with unity to associative rings without unity. Furthermore, we show that the radical class of Baer is the intersection of all the semiprime bi-ideals of a ring.

Von Neumannian Regularity in Semirings
Sen, M.K. ; Mukhopadhyay, P. ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 249~249
Abstract
A semi ring R is said to be regular in the sense of VON NEUMANN if for every element
there exist some

of a1l
metrices over a multiplicatively commutative semiring R in which for each
,
, there exist
such that
is a regular semiring. Another aim of this paper is to characterize the regularity condition by k-ideals.

Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 285~285
Abstract

Bitopological Nowhere Locally Compact Spaces
Sen, Asit Kumar ; Bhattacharyya, P. ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 297~297
Abstract
The concept of spaces nowhere locally compact introduced by N. Levine (1982) has been generalised to bitopological spaces. The conditions under which the various properties enjoyed by the above concept in a single topological space can be extended to a bitopological space are studied.

Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 311~311
Abstract
In this paper we introduce and investigate the notion of almost s-continuous functions. It will turn out that each of almost s-continuity, irresoluteness, and continuity is independent of one another.

Protopological Groups
Covington, Judith L. ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 323~323
Abstract
A protopological group is a group G with a topology t with the property that there exists a collection N of normal subgroups such that (1) for every neighborhood U of the identity there exists
such that
and (2) G/N with the quotient topology is a topological group for every
. We say that N converges to the identity and call N a normal system. This paper looks at examples and basic properties of protopological groups. Most interesting is that a protopological group with continuous multiplication is a topological group.

Type for Two Pairs of Compatible Mappings
Pathak, H.K. ; Khan, M.S. ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 329~329
Abstract
In this note, we present a common fixed point theorem of
type for two pairs of compatible mappings by using a single hypothesis on the existence of 'non-Archimedian trisection-points'. In the sequel, our result improve the results of Davies and Sessa, Davies, Jungck and many others.

Ballico, E. ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 339~339
Abstract
Here we give several criteria for the boundedness of suitable sets of pairs (X, E) with X projective variety and E vector bundle on X. For instance we prove the following result. Theorem assume characteristic 0. Fix integers n, t with

Pathak, H.K. ; Kang, Shin-Min ; Baek, Jong-Hwa ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 35, issue 2, 1995, Pages 345~345
Abstract
In this paper, first, we introduce the concept of weak compatible mappings of type (A) and compare these mappings with compatible mappings and compatible mappings of type (A) in 2-metric spaces. In the sequel, we derive some relations between these mappings. Secondly, we prove a coincidence point theorem and a fixed point theorem for weak compatible mappings of type (A) in 2-metric spaces.
