Gaur, Minakshi ; Sharma, S.K. ; Prasad, Govind ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 39, issue 1, 1999, Pages 1~1
Abstract
In the present paper, we study some direct results in
by the linear combinations of a certain class of modified Baskakov operators. The estimate of error in
in terms of higher order integral modulus of smoothness is obtained using the technique of Steklov means.

Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 39, issue 1, 1999, Pages 11~11
Abstract
Using some new analytic inequalities for real numbers we point out here some new lower bounds for the average number of guesses which complement in a natural sense the recent results obtained by E. Arikan in [2].

Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 39, issue 1, 1999, Pages 19~19
Abstract
This paper presents new definitions of stability of solutions to singular systems with delay, and establishes theorems on stability and unstability. Then, this paper discusses nth order constant coefficient linear singular systems with delay, obtains some results of stability and unstability.

Simultaneous Operational Calculus Involving a Product of Two General Class of Polynomials, Fox's H-function and the H-function of Several Complex Variables
Chaurasia, V.B.L. ; Patni, Rinku ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 39, issue 1, 1999, Pages 47~47
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to obtain a new operational relations between the original and the image for two dimensional Laplace transforms pertaining to Fox's H-function and the H-function of several complex variables with two general class of polynomials. A unification of the bivariate Laplace transforms for the H-function given by Chaurasia [2, 3] is provided by the result established here.

Cyclic Inequalities Related to Hardy Type
Salem, Sh. ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 39, issue 1, 1999, Pages 57~57
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to establish some cyclic integral inequalities which related to the well-known Hardy's integral inequality. The method which we used to obtain our results is based on the idea used by Levinson to obtain the generalizations of Hardy's integral inequality.

Double Integral Relations Associated with a General Class of Polynomials, Fox's H-Function and the Multivariable H-Function
Chaurasia, V.B.L. ; Gupta, Neeti ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 39, issue 1, 1999, Pages 75~75
Abstract
In the present paper first we give three double integral relations involving the product of Fox's H-function, the multivariable H-function and a general class of polynomials and then employ these relations to establish certain double integrals in terms of the H-function of several complex variable using the Mellin integral transform. A large number of known and new results have been obtained by proper choice of parameters. Application of the main results have also been discussed.

Computational Theory of Chains of Two Dimensional Laplace Transforms
Babakahani, A. ; Dahiya, R.S. ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 39, issue 1, 1999, Pages 83~83
Abstract
The object of this paper is to establish several theorems by using the chain of transforms. We link n-iterations of transforms to derive two-dimensional Laplace transform pairs. The theorems are applied to the most commonly used special functions to obtain new Laplace transform pairs.

Uniqueness Theorems for Meromorphic Functions with Two Deficient Values
Yi, Hong-Xun ; Li, Yu-Hua ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 39, issue 1, 1999, Pages 101~101
Abstract
This paper discusses the problem of uniqueness of meromorphic functions, ignoring value-points of high multiplicity. The authors prove that if f is a nonconstant meromorphic function with $4{\delta}(0)+3(k+2){\circleddash}(\infty)>3k+9$, then f can be determined uniquely by either the sets
, where
are finite nonzero complex numbers such that
. This improve some theorems given by K. L. Hiong, L. Yang, H. C. Xie, H. X. Yi and other authors. Examples are provided to show that the results in this paper are sharp.

Lee, Sang-Hun ; Ryoo, Cheon-Seoung ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 39, issue 1, 1999, Pages 149~149
Abstract
Using the finite element approximations for the variational inequality governed by elasto-plastic torsion problems, we present an effective verification procedure that through numerical computation generates a set which includes the approximate solution. A numerical example which confirms the effectiveness of the method is presented.

Icm-Products of Number-theoretic Functions Revisited
Buschman, R.G. ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 39, issue 1, 1999, Pages 159~159
Abstract
A representation is derived for the function of Lehmer which was used in his
type inversion for the lcm-product. A few lcm-inverses are computed, from which additional inversion formulas result, two of which are symmetric. The representation formula is generalized, which provides a convenient formula for computing certain lcm-product powers. A list is included of some lcm-products to supplement the few that are available in the literature.

Simple Lie Algebras Which Generalize Witt Algebras, I
Nam, Ki-Bong ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 39, issue 1, 1999, Pages 175~175
Abstract
We will show that the Lie algebra W(n,m) (see Def. 1) generalizes the Witt algebra W(n) by using the exponential functions. And any derivation of
can be written as a sum of inner derivations and scalar derivations (Thm. 4). We show that the derivation algebras of
are different [4]. The derivation algebra of F[x] is a Witt algebra W(1) which is simple, but the derivation algebra of
is non-simple Lie algebra.

Beasley, Leroy B. ; Lee, Sang-Gu ; Lee, You-Ho ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 39, issue 1, 1999, Pages 191~191
