A Generalization of Continuous Modules and Their Application to QF-rings
SOMYOT PLUBTIENG ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 43, issue 1, 2003, Pages 11~11
Abstract
A ring R is called quasi-Frobenius, briefly QF, if R is right or left artinian and right or left self-injective. In this note we study the new class of modules which generalize the concept of continuous (quasi-continuous) modules, that is, ec-continuous (ecquasi-continuous) modules. We prove the decomposition theorems for ec-quasi-continuous modules, and we also give a sufficient condition for ec-continuous to be continuous. Moreover, we give a characterization of QF-rings with the injectivity condition replaced by ec-continuity.

Semi-invariant Submanifolds with L-flat Normal Connection in terms of the Lie Derivatives
기우항 ; 이천지 ; 이성철 ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 43, issue 1, 2003, Pages 37~37
Abstract
We study a semi-invariant submanifold of codimention 3 with L-flat normal connection in a complex projective space, and classify the submanifold above satisfying
A=0 or
S=0, where A, S and
denote by the shape operator in the direction of the distinguished normal, and Ricci tensor of the submanifold and the operator of the Lie derivative with respect to the structure vector ε respectively.

A Note on Parakahlerian Manifolds
MIHAIL BANARU ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 43, issue 1, 2003, Pages 49~49
Abstract
The famous American mathematician Alfred Gray has noted that the identities satisfied by the Riemannian curvature tensor of almost Hermitian manifolds are very important for the study of the geometry of such manifolds [5]. In accordance with this fact, some classes of almost Hermitian manifolds were distinguished. The following identities characterize these classes [5]:

Some Further Results on Meromorphic Functions that Share Two Sets
WEI-CHUAN LIN ; HONG-XUN YI ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 43, issue 1, 2003, Pages 73~73
Abstract
This paper deals with the problem of uniqueness of meromorphic functions that share two sets, and obtain one set S with n(≥ 8) elements such that any two nonconstant meromorphic functions f and g satisfying
(S, f) =
(S, g), E(∞, f)=E(∞, g) and m≥2, m+n≥11 must be identical.

Superconvergence of Biorthogonal Wavelet Differentiation Rules
권순절 ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 43, issue 1, 2003, Pages 87~87
Abstract
In this paper, we derive the connection coefficients for computing wavelet expansion of the nth derivative
of a sufficiently smooth function f in terms of the expansion of f, using biorthogonal wavelet bases. The same coefficients also provide finite difference rules for
. Both of these rules provide unexpected high orders of accuracy (superconvergence).si-

MIGUEL CALDAS ; SAEID JAFARI ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 43, issue 1, 2003, Pages 135~135
Abstract
Levine [17] introduced and investigated the notion of generalized closed set. It is the object of this paper to offer a new notion of generalized closed set called θ-semigeneralized closed set and study its fundamental properties

On One-point Connectifications of Spaces
JANUSZ J. CHARATONIK ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 43, issue 1, 2003, Pages 149~149
Abstract
A connected Hausdorff space Y is called a one-point connectification of a space X if Y contains a copy of X as a dense subspace and Y＼X has exactly one point. A generalized linear graph means a connected subset of a linear graph. In a previous paper the subspaces of generalized graphs which have a one-point connectification are characterized by some conditions. In this note relations between these conditions are analyzed if X is embedded in a space belonging to a wider class than one of generalized graphs.

Direct Sums of Extending Modules
LIU ZHONGKUI ;
Kyungpook mathematical journal, volume 43, issue 1, 2003, Pages 157~157
Abstract
Let M and N be left R-modules. N is called M-ep-injective if N is essentially M-injective and pseudoly M-injective. An example is given to show that M-ep-injectivity is a non-trivial generalization of M-injectivity. We show that any direct sum of relatively ep-injective extending left R-modules of finite length is special extending. It is also proved that the direct sum M=ⓧi∈I
of left R-modules
(i∈I, I≥2) is extending if and only if there exist i ≠ j in I such that every closed submodule K of M with K ∩
