Comparison Sediment load with Soil Loss Using Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation and Geo-Spatial Information System

Soil loss by the rains has effect on natural environment. But It is difficult to find out the data that is surveyed in watershed. In this study, we combine RUSLE and GSIS, develop a program to automatically extract geo-factors to predict soil loss, and perform recurrent analysis against actual sediment load to bring out the relativity between soil loss and sediment load. Each factors need to RUSLE conducted by grid analysis. As the process to extract terrain factor became programming, the efficiency is rised.
Determination of the Improvement Priority in a Small River Using GRID Analysis Technology of GSIS

A small rivers take advantage of not only a site of superb scenic beauty, a play space, a rest place but also a momentous waters reservoir, a drainage on territory residents. Likewise, part of the most massed a life space to a region dwellers shall be extremely in harmony with coexistence space in that every kind plant, animal over again a human being and so on. For improvement planning of small river, various way and model are presented. But, it's want of ability for small rivers of a adaption many-side and throwing in a lot of financial resources. Because the improvement planning of small river was designed all small river in a county, the priority must be preprocessed. Now, the counties prioritized for improvement planning of small river are a few, and acquisition and manipulation of the data are time-consuming. Geo-Spatial Information System (GSIS) is specifically designed to manage and analyze spatial data. It will be to offer the benefit to the determination of the improvement priority in a small river. The purpose of this study is to offer priority for improvement planning of small river using GSIS. For this purpose, it was developed using Arc/Info software and AML was used as a developing tool.
Production of Topographic-Cadastral Map Using Digital Topographic Map

The Government confirmed the action planning of digital mapping project for major thematic maps based on‘Revised Plan for The Development of the National Geographic Information System’(NGIS). Mapping for major thematic maps will selectively have produced the essential digital thematic maps according to the frequency of usage by the year of 2000. The models of topographic-cadastral maps around Suwon were produced in accordance with the presented draft. We presented specification for production of the most appropriate topographic-cadastral maps through the analysis of the process of production, discussion and error check, and correction of the produced topographic-cadastral maps. And we could make it easier to develop digital mapping project of topographic-cadastral maps effectively by presenting the strategy for data input and maintenance, the cost model for carrying out the digital thematic map production, digital topographic maps, and the supplement of data model and data format.
High Precision GPS Positioning Referred to ITRF

This paper deals with the precision analysis of GPS measurement referred to ITRF96 which is the new reference frame announced in 1996, and show the data processing results of short and long baselines with different methods. In this paper, we minimized the observation error of GPS using precise ephemerides which has provided by Jet Propulsion Laboratory and represents the comparative analysis results of baseline measurements using GIPSY-OASIS II software. Here, we also discussed the accuracy of data processing methods.
A Study on the Resolution Enhancement of Digital Image by Area-Based Matching

As the accuracy of digital photogrammetry is restricted by the resolution of image to be used, it is axiomatic that the resolution of image should be improved. As for the method to constitute hardware with CCD sensor that capacity was expanded or the method to acquire the image of high resolution by deciding the quantity of sub-pixel in advance through moving sensor, the price is expensive. This study tries to enhance the resolution of low resolution image by acquiring the image with the digital camera that the price is cheap and deciding shifts and rotations through matching multiple digital image by means of least square method. As the result of study, the resolution of digital image was improved greatly. So, not only the digital photogrammetry which has the competitive power of price economically is possible in the future but also the application is expected widely.
A Study on Bridge Behavior Measurement by Kinematic On The Fly Technique of GPS

Recently, it has been partly attempted to measure behavior of large-sized bridge using GPS, but it is accomplished at the first step and unsystemically. The purpose of this research is to measure bridge behavior by Kinematic On The Fly (OTF) technique of GPS. The results of this study show that bridge behavior can be measured easily and conveniently in three dimension, monitored at the real time, and measured continuously without a break by OTF Technique of GPS.
The Development of Data Capturing Modules by Speech-Voice Recognition

Men's desire for the human interface, due to the development of voice processing technology of computer, and the development of intelligent MMI (Man-Machine Interface) computer technology enabled us to operate computers with our voice without using keyboards or other input systems. Especially, by obtaining field data and layout from the complicated surveying environment and applying the voice recognition technology to the actual surveying work, we can save a lot of working hours and costs. According to the result of this study, the real time Geo-Coding and graphic data-coding were possible with only 25 words by connecting the software engine which recognizes 50,000 different words and the voice recognition technology based on the super IC which recognizes 60 different words with the Total-station and the RTK-GPS.
Development of Fundamental Establishment Models for Redevelopment Area using Artificial Neural Network

The present paper describes an investigation into the application of the artificial neural network in the establishment criterion of redevelopment assignment. From the results, it is found that the artificial neural network algolithm search technique is very effective to find the good optimum solution as well as has higher robustness. So, the results of this research could contribute to making a reasonable assessment criterion of redevelopment assignment which is proper to the situation of Korea.
The Study on the Tide Correction of Bathymetry based on the DGPS Surveying

The purpose of this research is to enhance efficiency and tide measurement of the bathymetry survey based on the DGPS techniques which is becoming popular today due to a lot of benefits using the GPS. And according to the result of this research, choice and interpolation were possible with the most optimum method according to the various mathematical regressive equations as linear, parabolic, polynomic, reciprocal, hyperbolic, logarithmic and Gaussian functions. And the height of ground surface is easily calculated by 2D+1D transformation of coordinate of WGS84 in Cm-level based on the real time, even though the GPS time and tide were used to be synchronized through step-wised processing before. And because of the synchronization of time, the real time DGPS can cope with the loss of local current and changes of the tide.
A Study on the Earthwork Volume Decision using the Spline Interpolation

The calculation of earthwork plays a major role in plan or design of many civil engineering projects, and thus it has become very important to advanced the accuracy of earthwork calculation. Current methods used for estimating the volume of pit excavation assumes that the ground profile between the grid points is linear(trapezoidal rule), or nonlinear(simpson's formulas). Generally speaking. the nonlinear profile formulas provide better accuracy than the linear profile formulas. However, all the formulas mentioned have a common drawback to ground profile, such as sharp corners or the grid points of any two straight lines. In this paper, mathematical model for a searching examination the drawbacks of the current methods is presented. Also, the presented formular, the spot height method, and chamber formulas, chen and lin method are compared with the volumes of the pits in these examples. As a result of this study, algorithm of a proposal area formula by spline method should provide a better accuracy than the spot height method, chamber formulas, chen and lin method. The mathematical model mentioned make an offer maximum accuracy in estimating the volume of a pit excavation.
Image Matching Method of Digital Surface Model Generation for Built-up Area

DSM(Digital Surface Model) is a digital model which represents the surface elevation of a region. DSM is necessary for orthoimage generation, and frequently used in man-made object extraction from aerial photographs nowadays. Image matching technique enables automatic DSM generation. This proposed a image matching method which can be applied to automatic generation of DSM for Built-up Area. The matching method proposed is to find conjugate points and conjugate lines from overlapping aerial images. In detecting conjugate points, the positional relation between possible conjugate point pair as well as correlation of pixel gray value is compared. In detecting conjugate lines, the color attribute of flank region of line, shape of line, positional relation between neighborhood points and lines, and the connection relation between lines are compared. The proposed matching method is assumed to be useful for DSM generation including Built-up Area.
