Building of Efficient Route Alignment Information using GSIS -Focused on plan and vertical alignment-

This paper deals with real time building of route and vertical alignment information system for the efficient and scientific management using GSIS. First, we redesigned route and vertical alignment for obtained basic data using road projector(road design main software). Using by these acquired result, we made a database on road plan and vertical alignment drawing as a basic information being used to construction of road complex information system. The main objectives in this study are the rational maintenance road planing for drawings, its database and the systematization of route information management through the fast updating, mending, supplement. Result of this study enables us to manage route information.
The Analysis and Integration of Graphic and Attribute Information for Intelligent Transportation Systems

This study is to integrate and to analyzegraphic and attribute data in features which should be preceding for the ITS construction. A 1:5000 scale map as a national basemap was used and was checked for feasibility. For the convenience of position confirmation, the analysis component was developed and was linked to addresses. Also, the attribute information was considered on the shortest route, and optimal route was selected by investigating traffic volumes on main crossroads depending on the time zone. The optimal route could be selected by analyzing user's demands, position and statistical data, and the position information could be provided efficiently by combining the graphic information with the land register information.
Definition of the Earth-volume in Breakwater Using Real-time DGPS & Echo-Sounding data

This study deals with the Definition of the Earth-volume quantity and direction of throwing down stones (Q.R.R) into the Breakwater using Real-time DGPS & Echo-Sounding method. Generally, the buoy in the center line of Breakwater has been set up so as to throw down stones in the correct area. After throwing stones down there, surveyors have been surveying the depth and direction of stones with rod and sounding lead. The method, however, is not effective because of long time and a lot of human power, in addition it is incorrect. This paper has studied on the solution of those problems using Real-time DGPS & Echo-Sounding data to calculate the earth-volume quantity, direction and depth of throwing down stones. This paper says the effective and economical methods using Real-time DGPS & Echo-Sounding data there.
Construction of a Urban Life Information System Using Internet GIS - Focused on Development of Multi-Query Modules -

As the information & communication technique is growing rapidly and internet is widespread recently, a lot of life information systems are developing to provide various information related with our living space. Especially, to get the several real-time urban life information through the networking, the development of the system which integrates internet and GIS is proceeding actively. These systems give a variety of information; traffic information including bus route and parking lot, building information, welfare and medical and educational facilities information, the public office information such as the cityhall, the police station, the fire house and the entertainment place information such as the parks, the movies, etc. This study aims to construct the urban life information system with the multi-query module using Visual Basic, MapObjects IMS, SDE and Oracle, which can provide spatial and attribute information according to several events.
A Study on the Geoid Modeling by Gravimetric Methods and Methods of Satellite Geodesy

This paper suggests that coefficients models of the Earth's gravitational potential can be used to calculate height anomalies which are then reduced to the geoid undulation to determine more precise geoid undulation. The potential coefficients and modified coefficients of EGM96 and KODEM33 digital elevation model in and around the Korean peninsula were used for this study. The magnitude of height anomaly computed in this study reached 0.025 m and the mean vaule showed -0.015 m. In this study, geometrical geoid undulation was derived from GPS/Leveling data for evaluating the precisely computed geoid undulation. In comparison with geometric and gravimetric geoid undulations, mean value and standard deviation of the differences showed 0.0114 m and 0.2817 m respectively and it showed the improvement of results.
A Study on the Static Deformation Monitoring of the Offshore Structures by GPS Survey

The objective of this study is to measures deformation of the structures for stability checks by GPS survey. In this study, 2 points on south side dike of Keum River were measured by 4 sets of GPS(SR9500, Leica) every 4 months for a year, and 3-dimensional displacements of the points were acquired. In order to seek more reliable deformation measurement methods for the offshore structure by GPS, the accuracy of GPS survey with various control points configuration and checking system for detecting unrealistic measurements are also discussed.
Stability Evaluation of Permanent GPS Site by Least Square Spectrum Analysis

In order to evaluate the stability of permanent GPS arrays for obtaining high precision coordinates, spectral analysis uses the least square spectrum analysis to the coordinate variations of Suwon, Tsukuba and Sanghai stations. Permanent GPS observations at Suwon, Tsukuba and Sanghai have been more or less continuously carried out since 1994. Time series of the resulting coordinate variations are analyzed for long term repeatability and periodic behaviour.
The Verification of Accuracy for Aerial Photogrammetric scanner

The biggest factor of errors which is constructed to the database of aerial photo image is happen to process of scanning with aerial photogrammetric scanner. For the quality assurance of aerial phto image database, we are need to the verification process of aerial photogrammetric scanner. This study is purposed to exhibit quality assurance method of aerial photo image database which is established to verification method of accuracy for aerial photogrammetric scanner. As the results of this study, we are established to verification method of accuracy for aerial photogrammetric scanner. And, the proposed methods according to this study are known to contributequality assurance of aerial photo image database.
Orthophoto Application for Geo-spatial Information Acquisiton of Construction Area(DAM)

It is so sensitive that the matter of compensation for private possessions caused in the course of public construction planning is very important. Especially, more logical planning is necessary when the dam be constructed, because it is mainly controlled by the surface of water, and if that planning is made public, artificial change is occurred in land use in that area for the purpose of rising the compensation. In this study, the plan for the application of aerial photo based ortho image was drew up for solving these problems and for the rational, rapid compensation. Ortho image was made by aerial photo, used as reading material for the change in land use. The modeling of drainage basin, came under the planning surface of water, and the 3D simulation were performed for the scene analysis, the change understanding in land use for a lot number in a certain period by overlapping the digital image, the digital land registration map, and the digital topography map as well as the analysis of the admitted land followed by the height of reservoir water.
Orbital Parameters Modeling of High Resolution Satellite Imagery for Mapping Applications

A new generation of commercial satellites like IKONOS, SPOT-5 and OrbView-3,4 will have improved features, especially an higher geometric resolution with a better dynamic radiometric range. In addition high precision orbital position and attitude data will be provided by the on-board GPS receivers, IMU(Inertial Measurement Units) and star trackers. This additional information allows for reducing the number of ground control points. Furthermore this information enables direct georeferencing of imagery without ground control points. In our work mathematical models for calculating the satellite orbital parameters of SPOT-3 and KOMPSAT-1 were developed and can be easily extended to process images from other high resolution imaging systems as they become available.
A Study on the Construction of the AM/FM System for a University Using Internet GIS

The purpose of this study is to develop the AM/FM system for a university using internet GIS. Because the developed system has an additional Java Applet functions, web user can execute dynamic data processing including static HTML GUI. The developed internet AM/FM system could be used for effective management work exact search and inquiry of both graphic information and attribute information rapidly. Also, it has the functions of mapping, attribute and spatial information searching, spatial query processing, etc.. Besides, this system could be used for realtime facility in any place or office using internet.
