Analysis of the Right of Light According to Construction
Journal of the Korean Society of Surveying, Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Cartography, volume 22, issue 2, 2004, Pages 95~103
Recently, many troubles about the right of light have been arising ceaselessly as taller and more dense the buildings have been in the urban. The present time, the right of light is not stipulated legally. For solving above problems, there spend so too much lawsuit expenses and time on the damages about construction stopped and delayed, according to subjective decisions instead of scientific and rational solutions. The past studies of the right of light weren't based on the analytic data and depend on the simple view of point. So, those of studies gave trust to people hardly, only were treated as the ways on the decision about construction among non-engineers. Therefore, this paper studies the efficient solution of problems about the right of light through analysis about mass of sunlight according to season and the hour using a simulation technique on the civil construction.

Also. the suggestion on the advertisement and education of the system is also included. It is expected that this study contributes for the establishment of effective and precise nationwide location service so that many SOC areas including navigation, GIS, Telematics, LBS can provides better service for the users.
Calculation of Precision Orthometric Height by Orthometric Correction
Journal of the Korean Society of Surveying, Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Cartography, volume 22, issue 2, 2004, Pages 117~125
This paper describes the orthometric correction for determining the orthometric height obtained from height difference by precise leveling or GPS leveling. Five formulas are used to calculate the orthometric correction for two level lines as an examples. Based on the comparison results Strang van Hees' formula that use the surface gravity is better than the others to compute the orthometric corrections on spirit leveling and GPS/Leveling in an area where mean hight is high and terrain relief show high variability. Further research is necessary to improve the results of this study using Mader method, etc..

Journal of the Korean Society of Surveying, Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Cartography, volume 22, issue 2, 2004, Pages 127~135
The calibration of lens to be used and the planning of photographing planning layout is very important to achieve the requested accuracy in the precision measurement by close-range photogrammetry. Establishment of absolute coordinate system is regarded as another important factor for the purpose of measuring absolute deformation of photogrammetric object. In this study, the following tasks were performed : (1) calibration of super-wide-angle lens or focal length 21mm fer close-range photographing used by 35mm metric camera, (2) development of the measuring system for monitoring of absolute deformation through periodic observation of small area, and, (3) application of this system to monitor the absolute deformation of surface of underwater structure in fixed cycle and to present the efficiency of the system.
Calculation of Zero Error and Scale Error of EDM by Precise Baseline Measurement
Journal of the Korean Society of Surveying, Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Cartography, volume 22, issue 2, 2004, Pages 137~143
The electronic distance measurement(EDM) instrument, introduced first in the 1950s since those early days has, undergone continual refinement. Rapid advances established in related technologies have made it lighter, smaller and more precise equipment. Understanding for the principle, the standardized observation technique and the precision of EDM instrument is mostly important to improve the quality and the reliability of by-product in the field of engineering and industrial surveying. Periodical and accurate calibration is necessary to maintenance the precision of EDM instrument. This paper describes the calculated example of zero error and scale error as a correction of EDM by applying the least square method to baseline observations in test area. Also here we deal with the testing criteria for precision instrument testing according to different types of EDM instruments.
A Study on the Internet GPS Data Processing System
Journal of the Korean Society of Surveying, Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Cartography, volume 22, issue 2, 2004, Pages 145~150
A protocol for the web-based GPS data processing system has been developed. The system is developed following the typical ASP system, in which the GPS data acquired by various users can be uploaded through the web and the data is processed with data processing components selected by the users. After the processing, the results are also transported to the users through the web. The developed system is designed for easy software upgrade and it is an synchronous process mode so that the multiple accesses can be handled with high user flexibility. The database components for the efficient GPS data maintenance are developed so that the data from CORS can be used for the data processing. Currently, the absolute and relative positioning algorithms using code measurements are integrated and much more algorithms such as the data quality control, absolute and relative positioning using phases will be integrated in near future.
