A Study on the Determination of 3-Dimensional Position by Trilateration

Up to date, the ditermination of three dimentional position is performed sperately by horizontal and vertical adjustment. The purpose of this study is to determine simultaneously three dimentional coordinates of one unknown point by measuring only three slope distances from one unknown point to three fixed points. In this study, the adjustment problem for measurement values inclading redundancy is solved by observation equation and condition equation, and also the characteristic of these two analysis methods is studied and investigated.
Effect of the Weight in Precise Levelling Net

Observations to precise levelling nets contain different types of error because it has been caried out with various instruments and techniques, and also completed through long period. In order to establish a precise levelling nets, therefore, the weight function has to be selected adequately in the adjustment of nets. The purpose of the study is to determine a suitable weight function for the first order geodetic levelling nets in Korea and, therefore, the various numerical tests are performed with different statistical error models. The result of the study shows that the weight function, W＝1/
is more efficient than W＝1/L in the first order levelling nets in the Korea.
A Numerical Model for Predicting Shoreline Changes

The quantification of phenomena presented by the shoreline changes and the prediction of future changes of shoreline are investigated by using a numerical model in this study. Shoreline has been sucessively affected by the activities of reclamation to maximize the land use and it also has been changed with cycles of accumulation and erosion of deposits. Many researches were performed on the jetties constructed to protect facilities adjacent to the shore. However, few studies on a seawall of protecting the beach, being very important in terms of land use, were carried out. Therefore, this study is to analyze effects of a straight seawall to shoreline changes.
A Study on Traffic Accident Analysis Treatment and a plan Practical Use by Photogrammetry

Sport photographing by the Stereo-Camera generally used in Europ, Japan, etc was applied to the traffic-accident analysis more preferreatially than the measuring with Tape where some problems are found in its accuracy and duribility. Time for photographing and that for measuring a datum point were compared causes for accidents were analyzed by spot drawing PAMS, with a patameter of an exclusively used drawing set, after 3-dimensions were first measured and computed in Stereo-model. Also the collision-angle, the direction of the handle and the quartity of loss after a clash were computed by using a accident vehicle as a model those data was suggested as a way of potential practical the accidents at large
An Experimental Study on the Reliability of Electronic Distance Meter.

Electronic Distance Meter(EDM) is widely used for the traverse surveying and trilateration net recently, therefore, the study on reliability of EDM is very important. In this study, the reliability of EDM is examined by calculating the distortion of traverse surveying net, statistically analyzing the results of side length between triangulation and trilateration. As the result of this study, correction equation of EDM and steel-tape is obtained. And also, linear regression equations with correlation coefficient (0.89-0.98) show resulting from the error analysis of each side length. In addition to checking the distortion of traverse surveying net, distortion calculated with correction EDM appears to be the smallest value.
Extraction of Environmental Informations for Reclaimed Area using Satellite Image Data

On this study, we performed the landuse classification using the Landsat data acquired before and after reclamation, and extracted the ground temperature from infrared band(TM band6) data. Using the satellite data, it was possible to extract changes of landuses effectively according to the reclamation, and could obtain the thermal characteristics of the reclaimed area and the surroundings by converting infrared data value into temperatures of surfaces of ground and water. The result of this analysis will be used for the land management of large-scale reclaimed area applying the satellite data and related information.
Study on the Improvement of Accuracy in a Plain Slope Analysis Using the Bundle Adjustment

In this study, improvement of accuracy in a plain slope analysis is a main object using the bundle adjustment with changing the convergent angles and the configurations of control points when we can't take convergent case because of poor environment around establishment and cultural assets. From converged photographing using the angle of deviation, it was possible to improve accuracy in a plain slope analysis.
