Development and Application of Unit Table Form using Euro Form for High-rise Building Construction

In today's construction, there has been an increase in the construction of high-rise buildings due to the need to maximize land usage. Framework affects not only the entire construction duration and cost, but also subsequency construction activities such as electrical, mechanical, and finishing works. Especially, proper formwork is a influential factor of productivity in the framwork of reinforced concrete construction. To that reason, a table form of system form is more frequently used than conventional form. However, an initial cost of the table form is high and a reused table form needs for workers to repair damaged table forms. Therefore, the goal of this study is to introduce euro-unit table form. The results from the application of euro-unit table form to high-rise residentia building construction are as follows : (1) The cost of producing table form reduced by 16%, and (2) The time of producing table form was slumped by 35%, and (3) The labor force needed for form work declined 21%.
Customers' Needs Analysis for Investment Decision Making in Residential Facility for Retired Seniors

It is expected that the market of residential facility for retired seniors will be a new investment field for construction firms. This study describes the questionnaire survey analysis results of potential customers' demand for the facility. For comparison purpose, direct construction cost was estimated by estimation experts. In addition, a case analysis was conducted to compare direct cost and indirect project cost with the experts' estimation. According to the questionnaire survey analysis, it is observed that there were significant differences in demand between groups which are classified by the regions, living expenditures, the level of property ownership and the scales of residence. From an investor's perspective, investment decision on residential facility for retired seniors should be made considering bothe the level of returns which can be generated from the investment and the customers' needs.
Developing an Automatic System for Making a Placing Drawing and Quantity taking-off Cut and Bent Re Bar with Work Zone Information

Reinforcing steel work plays an important role in terms of its structural performance or weight of construction cost for reinforced concrete structures. Precise estimation of re-bar quantity gives a basis for managing the reinforcing steel work effectively. However, the estimation process is still performed ineffectively based upon the expert's experience or manpower in spite of the advanced technology or improvement efforts. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to develop a prototype system for taking-off the quantity of reinforcing steel bars quickly and accurately in an order consistent with the specific members identified on the drawings. An estimate algorithm considering the connection, settlement and coating thickness of re-bars was suggested regarding to their replacement conditions which places more emphasis on constructibility. Also, this system produces the shop drawings automatically with the calculation results with work zone information.
A Study on the Actual Condition Survey of Apartment Rebar Work

The rebar work is very related to the safety and durability of the building. Recently, the rebar work is produced some serious problems due to the lack of skillful crafts-man and the rising cost of rebar materials. Many papers have dealt with the rebar work of the manufacturing system in plants with a view to improvement those problems. But, the research on the rebar work of the manufacturing system in field is in a insignificant condition. This study presents the following improvement schemes as a result. First, the education strengthening for evaluation on practical affairs, second, the reinforcement of drawing & management in shop drawing and finally the simplification of apartment rebar work in slab. Also, this paper aims at advancing apartment rebar work by the actual condition survey in slab work. The further research will be needed about the whole structure parts such as foundation, wall, girder and rebar truss-deck plate as one of the improvement methods.
A Study on Benefit/Cost Analysis of Re-Bar Connection Methods for Hyper Strength(SD500) Reinforcement

High-rise building is taking a place as one of building types from apartment housings to commercial buildings. With taking in account of stability and durability, strength of used materials is increasing gradually in these high-rise buildings. According to this, frequency in use of SD500 re-bar is increasing gradually in high-rise buildings. However the study of SD500 re-bar is insufficient because SD500 re-bar started to be used for domestic buildings lately. Specially because there is no guide or study to refer to, people get into difficulties when to decide the method of re-bar connection in construction using SD500 re-bar. Accordingly in this study, it suggests the method of estimating the economical efficiency on SD500 re-bar connection, and conducts benefit/ cost analysis on lapped splice and coupler splice by applying AHP theory, and then presents its result. After to analyze re-bar diameter of D25, 29, and 32, finally we attained the result that the coupler splice is advantageous in all parts of benefit/ cost more than the lapped splice.
A Study on the Effect of TQM on the Business Performance(Safety) of Constructor

This study has provided the answer which construction companies to make complete competitive factors for sustainable growth in construction industry with to 21C environment changes. So the purpose of study is to provide a guideline for establishing the strategy of existence and growth. In order to carry out this purpose of study, above all after has been reviewed Quality Management by considering the characteristics of construction companies, TQM component and business performance, the study has been made a close inquiry in causal relationship between TQM component(leadership, participation, education-training) and business performance(safety) in construction industry. The result of the study can be summarized as follows : First, a test was conducted to whether TQM component(participation) has a significantly positive effect on business performance(safety). Second, it was found that there was a positive casual relationship between each of the TQM factors and business performance(safety). TQM(Total Quality Management) factors had great influences on the business performance of construction companies. So construction companies needed to make continuous efforts to enhance the business performance through TQM approach.
A Study on Rheological Properties of Cement Paste using Expansive Additives by Kind & Replacement Ratio

To improve concrete tensile strength and bending strength, New plan that have more economical and simple manufacture process is groped. By an alternative plan, chemical pre-stressed concrete is presented. In this study, we analyzed the rheological properties of cement paste with the kind and replacement ratio of k-type CSA type expansive additives that is used mainly in domestic. and we suggested that the algorithm of a mixing plan in the chemical pre-stressed concrete and from this, we presented the basic report for the right mixing plan. From the results, Flow increased more or less according to use of expansive additives. This phenomenon was observed by increasing paste amount that shows as substitution for expansive additives that specific gravity is smaller than that of cement. As linear regression a result supposing paste that mix expansive additives by Bingham plastic fluid. The shear rate and shear stress expressed high interrelationship. therefore, flow analysis of quantitative was available. The plastic viscosity following to replacement ratio of expansive additives is no change almost, the yield value is decreased in proportion to the added amount of expansive additives. Through this experiment, we could evaluate rheological properties of cement paste using the expansive additives. Hereafter by an additional experiment, we must confirm stability assessment of material separation by using the aggregate with the kind and replacement ratio of expansive additives.
Period of the Strength Correction of the Concrete with the Temperature Level Based on Meteorological Data

According to Korean Architectural Standard Specification (KASS) , at the design stage of the specified concrete strength, strength correction with each temperature level should be considered to secure required strength at 28 days even in low temperature condition, In this paper, the period for the strength correction at the stage of mixture design of the concrete using ordinary Portland cement(OPC) specified in KASS was determined with each region of south Korea based on the meteorological data of KMA(Korea meteorological administration) by applying KASS-5 regulation. In case of 28 days of strength control age, the period for strength correction with 6MPa was calculated to
days and, with 3 MPa. to around 80 days. The period for the strength correction was shown to be decreased with the rise of altitude. The period to consider the delay of the strength development due to low temperature including the period of cold weather concrete was nearly 7 months around 1 year. References for determining the strength correction factors with each region of south Korea was provided in this paper. Further investigation of strength correction of the concrete containing blended cement is to studied.
Strengthening Efficiency for the Various Corner Shapes of RC Member confined with Continuous Fiber Sheets

Recently, fiber reinforced polymers(FRP) composite materials are used extensively in the rehabilitation of concrete structural members. A main application is to wrap beams and columns using the continuous fibers sheets to improve their strength and ductility. The corner chamfering affects significantly the performance of the continuous fibers sheets, and could lead to environmental problem with waste and dust. The main purpose of this paper is to verify the effect of corner conditions on the strength of the continuous fiber sheets, and to introduce new attached components which can avoid environmental problem. A total of 15 specimens were tested and carefully checked for three types of continuous fiber sheets(carbon, glass, and aramid) and three types of corner conditions(non-chamfering, chamfering, and device attaching). It is proved that the devices proposed in this research have some capabilities to use for RC member. But additional research will be needed for commercializing.

Domestic exoteric construction market by opening of world construction market with recent FTA of rapidly change. On these time, need quality increase of construction to possess government official and international competitiveness of customer satisfaction by offering consumer building of good quality. Therefore, must establish direction to inspects and must advance forward formation government official's present actual conditions for building company's QI. This study is as following if summarize studying result of formation government official to improve quality in construction spot. First, formation's CEO will for QI need side improvement the formation government official enemy by important thing. Second, at checking activity and systematic action that participate of responsible persons cooperation enterprise space-time by complete charge department organization should be achieved. Third, complete charge department for quality control operation large size construction firm substantially formation Organizational well operate, but heavy hydrogen building company was construed by greatly unprepared misgovernment. AHP analysis result complete charge department is serious necessity, and the CEO under direct control organizational structure was construed by thing which can bring excellent effect in operation management side of quality business side and formation. Therefore, heavy hydrogen building company should does to occupy competitive power high position with tissue at active quality complete charge deputy.
A Study on the Survey of Worker's Satisfaction with Safety Gear in Structural Frame Work

Safety management is the most important factor in the construction industry. If the construction company don't control the risk, it causes the accident which give the company fatal loss. According to the Korea industrial safety analysis reports, the 25.72% of the disasters are from the construction industry, and the 13.6% construction disasters are caused by not properly using the safety gears. Therefore, this study is to investigate the Wearing Safety Gear by Occupational Classification and the Satisfaction in the Construction Field. The results are ; Carpenters are dissatisfied with the safety shoes and belt, re-bar workers are dissatisfied with the safety helmet and shoes, Concrete workers are dissatisfied with the safety helmet and goggles.
