Multi-functional Active-R Filter

A simple active-R filter is proposed by utilizing only four resistors and two operational amplifiers. This filter has multi-functional characteristics and decreases the ratio of resistors. The sensitivity of
as the parameter of filter is very low and the operating frequency of this active-R filter is possible in the high frequency. The integration of this active-R filter is easy due to the decrease in the number of resistors and the lowering of the ration of resistors. The experiment shows that all the characteristics of this active-R filter are in accordance with thory.
Effect of Glottal Wave Shape on the Vowel Phoneme Synthesis

It was demonstrated that the glottal waves are different depending on a kind of vowels in deriving the glottal waves directly from Korean vowels/a, e, I, o, u/ w, ch are recorded by a male speaker. After resynthesizing vowels with five simulated glottal waves, the effects of glottal wave shape on the speech synthesis were compared with in terms of waveform. Some changes could be seen in the waveforms of the synthetic vowels with the variation of the shape, opening time and closing time, therefore it was confirmed that in the speech sysnthesis, the glottal wave shape is an important factor in the improvement of the speech quality.

Structuring FFT Algorithm for Dataflow Computation

Dataflow computers exhibit a high degree of parallelism which can not be obtained easily with the conventional von-Neumann architecture. Since many instructions are ready for execution simultaneously, concurrency can be easily achieved by the multiple processors modified the dataflow machine. This paper describes a FFT Butterfly algorithm for dataflow computation and evaluates the performance by the speed up factor of that algorithm through the simulation approach by the time-accelation method.
A study on the Parameter Regulation of PID Output Feedback Controllers

The parameter regulation of proportional-plus-intergral-plus-derivative output feedback controllers is presented in the practical compter simulation and the time-domain analysis. Particularly, the restriction of parameter regulation for PID controller utilization is investigated as a result of simulation method. It is finally noted that one may resort to the design of controllers, as investigated, for rapid steady-state response, disturbance rejection, and transient response performance (over 3rd-order process) without computing the open-loop transfer functionmatrix. in consequence is presented the block diagram of sensor base system for PID output feedback controllers.
Reflection and Transmission of Electromagnetic Waves at the Oscillating Dielectric Plane Surface;(Transverse Electric Wave)

In the reflection and transmission of a plane wave(TE) from a dielectric plane surface oscillating sinusoidally perpendicular to its surface, one could assume that the boundary moves with a uniform velocity equal to the instantaneous oscillating velocity. The reflected and the transmitted fields are obtained as the function of the incident angles, the dielecri'c permittivity, and the oscillating velocities according to the extended Lorentz transform.
