Size Transformation of Character Pattern

Hangeul wordprocessor, workstation and I/O device for telematic service are requiring many kinds of characters with various attributes such as size and font. In this paper, we survey computer algorithm that have been studied to transform(reduction, enlargement) built-in character patterns into character patterns with different sizes. Also, evaluation cirteria for such algorithms are mentioned.
The Phoneme Synthesis of Korean CV Mono-Syllables

We analyzed Korean CV mono-syllables consisted of concatenation of consonants/k, t, p, g/, their fortis and rough sound and vowels/a, e, o, u, I/by the PARCOR technique, and then we synthesized those speech by means of the phoneme synthesis controlling the analyzed data. In the speech analysis, the duration of consonants decreases in the rough sound, the lenis and the fortis in turns. And also the gain of them decreases in the same tendency. The pitch period increases more and more in vowels following the rough sound, the fortis and the lenis in turns. We synthesized the lenis and the fortis by controlling the duration and the gain of the rough sound, and vowels following the fortis and the rough sound by controlling the pitch period and the duration of vowels following the lenis. As the results, the synthesized speech quality is good and we make certain it is possible to make a rule to the phonome synthesis in Korea speech.
A Study on the Design of Microwave Low Noise Amplifier Using GaAs FET

Analysis and design procedure for the low noise amplifier design are presented. A Microwave low noise amplifier is designed and fabricated using packaged GaAs FET at the center frequency of 12GHa. The experimental results with respect to the noise figure and power gain are quite agreeable with the design specifications except that the input and output VSWR are slightly higher than the desingned.
A Simulator for Integrated Voice/Data Packet Communication Networks

In this paper, the development of a simulator for the performance estimation and parameter optimization of an integrates voice/data packet communication network is described. The simulator implemented is capable of simulating the integrated voice/data network that handles packet voice terminals as well as data terminals and hosts operating under standard CCITT protocols. Of the three descrete event simulation approaches presently known, the process interaction method has been chose. With this approach one can implement a simulator that is related most Closely with the real system. The simulator has been implemented in PL/I and GPSS simulation languages, resulting in a software package of about 4,000 lines. To reduce the computer run time of the simulator, we have used a method of reducing conditional events based on a GPSS LINK block. We describe various aspects of the simulation model developed. We then investigate the performance of a 7-node network using the simulator, and present the results. For validation of the simulator developed, we construct a simulation model for a simple voice/ data multiplexer, and compare the results of simulation with those of an analytical model.
A Study on Digital Phase-Frequency Modulation System for Mobile Radio Communications

In this paper, the new modulation system, the digital phase-frequency hybrid modulation system is proposed for mobile radio communications. The error rate and the outage equation of PFSK(Phase-Frequency Shift Keying) signal transmitted through the fading channel has been derived considiering deversity techniques. The error rate and the outgae rate performances of PFSK system have been evaluated and shown in figures in terms of carrier-to-noise power ratio(CNR), fading figure, numbers of diversity branches, correlation coefficient among the diversity branches. And the performance of PFSK system is superior to that of QDPSK system. And by using diversity techniques, system performances can be improved 13dB above in CNR.
Design of an Effecient Local Area Computer Communication Network Controller for Office Automation (Contention Resolution Algorithm Based on CSMA/CD)

The contention resolution algorithm with the limited packet delay time as well stable distribution as the packet delay time is proposed and implementes for improving the mean packet delay time in the network employing CSMA/CD as the access method. The implementation of node controller is based on IEEE 802.2 standard logical link control(LLC) and IEEE 802.3 standard medium access control(MAC). Some portion of IEEE 802.3 Standard MAC, and the Binary Exponential Back-off(BEB) algorithm is replaced by the proposed algorithm. From the view of normalized mean packet transmission delay time, the controller implemented here can be applicable to the office-automation system, and the factory-and laboratory-automation environment where the limited time criterion is very significant.
The Analysis of Interdigital Multiple Coupled Microtrip Line DC Blocks

The analysis procedure for open-circuited interdigital multiple coupled microstrip-line structures for applications as wideband DC blocks are presented. The exact frequency responses for the transmission coefficient computed by utilizing the quasi-TEM parameters of coupled microstrip lines are shown.
