A Survey of Circuit Switching Local Area Networks

This paper surveys circuit switching local area networks(LANs) whit topology of ring, mesh, bus and star. Emphasis of this study is given on the conceptual switching technologies of these LANs.
A Study on the Propagation Characteristics of the Circular Waveguide with a Ring-type Dielectric

Propagation constants for TMon and TEon modes in a circular waveguide with a ring type dielectri are computed using the numerical analysis when the width of dielectric is varied regularly. This structure can be applied to the supporter to make improve the Q-factor of dielectric resonators, and the results of numerical calculation can be used to design the slow wave structures. Also, the numerical analysis in this paper can be used to determine the resonant frequencies in dielectric resonators.
The Design of Digital Filter Using Elliptic Functions

In this paper, we have studied on the IIR digital filters design using Elliptic functions. In process of transformation to digital fouctions from analos Elliptic functions, Bilinear z transformation method has been silized. Designing of digital filter using the Bilinear z transformation the problems of aliasing can be avoidedm whereas the frequency distrotion is generated. The transformation form analog function to digital function is not equal in the region of the cut off frequency response caused by this effect. Avoiding the problem of this effect, we have used proewarping method. Finally, the magnitude characteristics of digital filters are compared with its of analog filters by computer simulation. The results have shown that the magnitude characteristics of digital filters by the prewarping method have made more remarkable improvement than its of analog filters.
The Analysis of the Current Distribution in a Perfect Conductor Scatterer Using SEM

By solving the current distribution, natual frequencies, and the amplitude of natural modes about the perfect conducting scatterer of revolution are presented. Singularity expansion method is applied to slove the time-domain response based on the simplified E-field integral equation by the application of the extended boundary conditin for the perfect conductin scatterer of revolution.
A Study on the Size and Shape Pattern Normalization of Hand-Written Hangul Patterns

This paper proposes a new method for the normalization of shape pattern based on Gaussian probability density function to increase automatic recognition rate of hand-written Hangul pattern. The sizes of hand-written Hangul pattern are detected from the input images, and pattern sizes are normalized by two variables interpolation. The pattrn shapes are noralized by letting correlation coefficients equal to zero. It is analyzed theoretically and verified through computer simulation for the relation between input image and normaized shape pattern. It is confirmed that this method is effective and reasonable for deformed hand-written Hangul pattern. Experimental resu results show that the declination. size and stroke width of hand-written Hangul patterns are mych improved.
Design of Circular Symmetric Two-Dimensional FIR Digital Filter

The design of two-dimensional zero-phase FIR digital filters by transformations is a popular and well-developed technique, but is suffers from the disadvantage that in its current form the filters with only four quadrant symmetry can not be designed exactly circular symmetry at frequencies far from the origin. it is shown how symmetry requirement for the filters with any number of dimensions can be fulfilled with arbbitrary percision by adapting transformation with the appropriate series expansions. this transformation has been known generally as the McClellan transformation. In this paper, a simple method for ensuring exelent circular symmetry at frequencies far from the origin is presented. This method which employs the Modified Mcclellan trnsformation for the design of 2-D FIR filter form 1-D FIR filters is quite useful for the design of 2-D FIR filters with multiple cutoff boundaries such as band-pass filters.
The Algorithm for Weak Signal Detection and Estimation

This paper is the basic research to identify automatically signals that are less than the bandwidth of 200Hz in shortwave band between 3 to 7 MHz and rarely appear. In order to do so, first, we describe the Detection and Estimation method of testing for the presence of absence about OOK signals of odB degree in 100KHz bandwidth. In the course of Detection and Estimation, it has decided the presence of OOK modulation Signal in additive noise to about 77% using LOD and E-C and about 90% using pattern model method of correlation function.
A Study on the Time Intergrating Correlator Using Acoustooptic Effect

An AO TIC system for performing real-time correlation of two signals is constructed. It uses AOD(Acoustooptic Device) and CCD(Charge Coupled Device). An acoustooptic technique for achieving signal correlation isdescribed. The statistical analysis for correlator's output SNR is presented and experimental procedure for implemention of this technique are result shown. Since the correlation intergration is performed in time rather thatn space, the SNR of this system can be greatly improved.
