Reflection and Transmission of Electromagnetic Waves at the Oscillating Dielectric Plane Surface(Transverse Magnetic Wave)

In the reflection and transmission of a transverse magnetic wave(TM wave) from a dielectric plane osillating sinusoidally perpendicular to ist surface, one could assume that the boundary moves with a uniform nelocity equal to the instantaneous socillating velodity. According to the extended Lorentz transform, the reflected and the transmitted field are obatained as the function of the dielectric permittivity, the oscillating velocities, and the incident angles. The above results are analyzed graphically.
Microprogrammable Sequential controller Design of a Sequential Logic System Described by a GRAFCET

The architecture and design of a highperformance general-purpose microprogrammable sequential controller are presented. Conventional sequential controllrs are limited by speed, memory requirement, flexibility and programming ease. The proposed controller solves those limitations. it has a fixed hardware and is microprogrammable throutgh firmware modification. It is especially designed for complex high-speed sequential controllers requiring large I/O capabilities, such as industrial process ocntroller or power electronic conversion controller.
Frequency-Dependent Characteristics of Shielded Single, Coupled and Edge-Offset Microstrip Structures

Dispersion characteristics of shielded single, coupled and edge-offset microstrip structures are investigated by using hybrid mode analysis with Galerkin's method in the spectral domain. Two new basis functions for the longitudinal strip current are proposed and convergence rates of the solutions for the basis functions are compared. Current distribution of the coupled line is obtaind from that of the single line by using shift theorem of the Fourier transform. In addition, effects of off-centered inner strip conductor on dispersion are also discussed Numerical results include various structual parameters and are compared with other available data and good agreements are observed.
On the Analysis of Electrostatic Problems Using a Steepest Descent Method

The method of steepest descent is applied to the analysis of electrostatic problems. The differences between iterative method and direct method, e.g. the method of moments, are not lined. It is shown that this method converges monotonically to the exact solution and is suitable for solving a problem of large system. Numerical results are presented for electrostatic case which show a good agreement with momet solution.
A Study on the Performance Analysis and Comparision of Channel Access Protocols in LAN

The Media Access Control(MAC) Technologies in IEEE 802 Local Area Network(LAN) reference model include CSMA/CD, Token Ring and Token Bus methodes. The channel throughput of LAN can be affected by some parameters such as channel length, transmission rate and packet size, and station numbers. In this paper, the effect of these parameters to channel throughput are analyzed by normalized parameters. And the token ring and token bus method are analyzed by using the normalized parameter, and relatinonship bwtween channel thorughput and parameters is discussed. Finally, results are compared.
A Study on the Quantization Noise in LDM and CFDM Systems

Quantization noise of nonadaptive Linear Delta Modulation(LDM) and adaptive Constant Factor Delta Modulation(CFDM) systems is studied. The formulas for quantization noise of CFDM system are derived on the basis of the rusults of LDM. And the output signal-to-quantization noise ratios(SNR) in LDM and CFDM systems are calculated in the range of bit rates from 16[Kb/s] to 96[Kb/s]. By comparing LDM and CFDM, it is known that the adaptive DM is superior to non-adaptive DM by 8[dB] when bit rate is 20[Kb/s] and SNR advantage increases to 14[dB] when bit rate is 56[Kb/s]. All the theoretical results agree well with the experimental results.
A Study on the Hybrid-Pattern Recognition System using Projection of 2-D Image

In this paper, new hybrid-pattern recognition system is proposed using Radon transform. Transforming the 2-D image into the 1-D projection data, Fourier spectrum at each projection angle is obtained by the Fourier transforming the projection data using the A/0. After extracting the suitable features from the Fourier spectrum and projection data, the input pattern is recognized using the wquared Mahalanobis distance. The results of this system showed the 100% recognition rate for the 10 input patterns.
