A Study on the Design of the Digital Filter Bank Using the Wave Digital Filters

An 8-channel digital filter bank with wave digital filters(WDF) is studied. Wave digital filtwr is automatically a directional filter. Using these properties, a new method for organizing the 8-channel digital filter bank is proposed. This will lead to enormous savings in memories for the digital signal processign chip.
A Study on the Performance Analysis of Asynchronous Repeated FH/MFSK System

In this paper the performance of the asynchronous Repeated FH/MFSK system for the CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) was analyzed. Actually there was no difference in the probabilities of hit of frequency between Random Coding method and frequency hopping pattern vector suggested by Einarsso. Actual situation was adopted as a model in thie simulation, on the assumption thet;a:there was no Noise, Multipath propagation, b:there was only mutual interference. c:the number of users M was given. Also it was found that there is almost no deviation between the value calculated from the formula of word error probability expressed by bound and that obtained from this simulation.
A Study on the Extracting Method for the Control Subcode in Digital Audio Systems

In this paper, the extracting method for the control subcode in digital audio systems is pressented. And also the subcode format to display on the screen and a extracting method of the control signals within the DAS information are described. The extracted control signal from DAS is analyzed in the microprocessor systems and the microprocessor systems generate the screen information and then transmit to the CRT controller by the proposed protool.
Design of FEP(Front-End Processor) System for Information Exchange

In this paper, it is focused on the design of the FEP system that executes the access control programs instead of the hos processor. And so the FEP system improves the network flexibility and redues the installation costs of network. The design criterion of the FEP system is based on the ISDN construction which presents the information channel in thr future information society. The proposed hardwares and transmission softwares use the basic transmission rate of 64Kbps, and the contents of file service throuth this FEP system are listed by FTAM services.
A Study on the Determination of Mode Coupling Coefficient in Graded-Index Optical Fiber

In this paper, the Fourier Transform is employed to solve the coupled differential equations of modal power and three equations of the mode coupling coeficient are dierived using the phasor form trial soluation. The theory of the mode coupling coefficient contains a few theories proposed by earlier authers. Also it is seen that in case the optical source is modulated by a sinusoidal function, this theory is applied as well. In experiment, the mode coupling coefficient is determinded for a multimode graded-index fiber by using the optical source, which modulated by a sinusoidal function.
A Study on the Development of Star Type LAN

This paper describes the outboard NIU(Network Interface Unit) using microprocessor and the hardware and software of concentrator for constructing star typed LAN(Local Area Network) based on token ring method. The NIU adapter can adapter up to four parallel and serial typed terminals. Because it has PAD function on input output data, any type of terminals can be adapted. Since the concentrator has logical switching circuit which enables data to bypass the faulted NIU adapter, this network prevents communication break. When user transmits and receives data, the concentrator constructs star typed LAN which connct both transmitting and receiving sides. A s result, this network eliminated ring latency time in other NIU exculding transmitting and receiving NIU. So the throughput of this LAN is increased. Because this LAN system consists of several modultes according to it's function, the expansion of function or the modification of method is easy.
Development of an Integrated Packet Voice/Data Terminal

In this study, a packet voice/data terminal(PVDT) that services both voice and data in the packet-switched network is implemented. The software structure of the PVDT is designed according to the OSI 7 layer architecture. The discrimination of voice and data is made in the link layer. Voice packets have priority over data packets in order to minimize the transmission delay, and are serviced by a simple protocol so that the overhead arising form the retransmission of packets may be minimized. The hardware structure of the PVDT is divided into five modules; a master control module, a speech proessing module, a speech activity detection module, a telephone interface module, and an input/output interface module. In addition to the hardware implementation, the optimal reconstruction delay of voice packets to reduce the influence of delay variance is analyzed.
A Directly Coupled Log Periodic Microstrip Antenna for X-band

A log periodic microstrip array antenna using direct coupling feeder is designed at the frequency 7.2-12.4GHz. Transmission line analysis method was used for the design of each antenna element in consideration of the effects of dielectric and conductor loss and the discontinuity, also the optimized feeding points were obtained for the impedance matching between a main transmission line and each antenna element. It is shown that the measured VSWR was less that 2.4 at the frequency 7.2-12.4GHz, and 53% bandwidth was achived.
