This paper presents definitions of the hardware description language and hardware compiler for the complex digital system design. In this paper, The translator is implemented for generating the table of data subsystems using the register transfer algorithm.
English Character Recognition and Design of Preprocessing Neural Chip

Enalish character recognition with the neural networl algorithm has been performed. Character recognition technition techniques which are processed by software, have the limit of the recognition speed. To overcome this limit, we realize this system to hardware by using the neural network algorithm. We have designed preprocessing chip using the neural nework model, that is single layer perceptorn, in the noise elimination, smoothing, thinning and feature point extraction. These chips are implemented as a CMOS double metal 2um design rule.
A Circuit Design of 4:1 Parallel ADC Using Source Coupled FET Logic

In this paper, the circuit that has characteristics of high speed and low dissipation is described. A 4:1 parallel ADC is constructed by using the designed SCFL(Source Coupled FET Logic). The results of simulation shows that comparators is obtained integrated nonlinearity,
28mV, compared with limiting value,
68mV, at 66NHz input signal and 2Gs/s Niquist rates and this paper describes low power dissipation about 0.43W by reducing the elements in a ADC design.
Construction of Spread Spectrum Power Line Communication Equipment Using Power Line Synchronization

This paper proposes a method for the implementation of a power line communication equipment using power line synchronization in a direct-sequence spread spectrum communication system. In order to implement a network using a power line as a transmission channel we have investigated the utilization of direct-sequence speread spctrum which gives such advantages as robustness against narrow-band interference and noise, and realization of multiple access. In a power line, however, complexity of synchronization makes it difficult to realize a multiple access and cost down and system simplification. The proposed technique of power line synchronization makes it possible to get cost down and system size small, and the realization of multiple communication can be achieved by the addition of address setting circuit.
Fourth-Power-Law Timing Recovery for Minimum-Bandwidth Systems

Timing recovery for recently proposed nonlinear minimum-bandwidth systems is of concern since most conventional methods fail for these systems. As a method to surmount this retiming difficulty, this paper proposes the fourth-power-law method. The feasibility of the proposed method for minimum-bandwidth systems is shown through a rigorous analysis. Furthermore, extensive computer simulations are used to determine the best configurational strategy for various filters around the fourth-power nonlinear process. It is found that no intermediate filtering is necessary in general and even the pre-filtering can be omitted for systems having symmetric power spectral densities.
A DPSK Demodulator of Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum using SAW Convolver

This paper reports on the development of a DPSK demodulator of DS spread spectrum communications that use one SAW convolver. The spreading code chip pattern is changed from bit to bit in data portion of packet. And code chip is PSK modulated. Compared with simulation, experiment shows that the DPSK signal spreaded can be demodulated by using only one SAW convolver. And the theoretical performance of this DPSK demudulator is equal to CSK demodulator wich uses two SAW convolvers.
The Simulation Algorithm for Performance Analysis of Slotted 1-Persistent CSMA/CD Bus Protocol

The major purpose of this thesis is suggest the simulation algorithm for performance analysis of throughput of slotted 1-persistent CSMA/CD bus protocol in Local Area Networks. The suggested simulation algorithm processes the effect of each station group that classified by the number of collision experience. Therefore, this simulation algorithm is more effective in terms of the execute than existing algorithm that processed the effect of each station. This study suggests the method for application to the busy/idle generator.
Hierarchical Network Management Algorithm for Highly Available System with a LAN

This paper proposes a hierarchical control algorithm for an efficient network management of a loosely-coupled system which consists of functional division and duplicating structure with a LAN to enhance reliability and availability. The algorithm is modeled using the Perti-net and verified with the reachability tree. Here, the proposed algorithm is compared with the purely centralized control algorithm and distributed control algorithm in terms of message traffic for the network management. The result shows that the message traffic related to system performance is as low as centralized control algorithm and the system availability is independent of a specific processor failure.
A Study on the Performance of the Wave Digital Filters

In the implementation of digital filters, the coefficient errors are occurred when filter coefficients are quantized by finite wordlength. They change the frequency responsed and output characteristics of the filters and therefore they become a main reason which could stimulate coefficient sensitivity especially in recursive filters. In this paper, we study the characteristics of coefficient sensitivity for WDF that is less effective to the coefficient errors. The simulation based on the method of fixed-point quantization demonstrates that the frequency responses of WDF have better preformance than those of conventional cascade IIR filter when variations of finite wordlength is considered.
