A Study on the New Hybrid Interference Cancellation Scheme for Multirate DS-CDMA

The objective of this paper is to proposed a new Hybrid Interference Cancellation(HlC) receiver to cancel MAI in a multirate DS-CDMA system based on multiple processing gain(MPG). We propose a new improved HIC scheme that divides the active users with different data rates split into a number of groups for effectives cancellation Between each group, GW-PIC is performed to cancel other group signals and within them, SIC is carried out to remove multiple access interference in group. We analyze the performance of the proposed receiver in terms of the bit error rate(BER) and examine its performance. As a conclusion, computer simulations show that the proposed schemes outperforms adaptive multistage PIC and conventional SIC receiver over AWGN channel.

In this paper, we propose a modified Normalized-BP algorithm by changing the normalization factor according to the reliability of updated messages. Proposed algorithm has almost same decoding complexity as Normalized-BP algorithm and achieves a bit-error probability of

Modified Sign-Godard Blind Equalizer Operating on Dual Mode

In this paper, a new blind equalizer algorithm is proposed which operates on dual mode and combines the benefits of both the Sign-Godard algorithm and the radius-directed algorithm The proposed algorithm has both the properties of good initial convergence of the Sign-Godard algorithm and low residual errors after convergence of the radius-directed algorith High order statistics are used for blind phase recovery and gor avoiding local minima. Simulation results show that the new algorithm has not only faster convergence rated but also lower residual errors than those of the conventional algorithms.
An Efficient Dynamic Entropy Coding by using Multiple Codeword in H.264/AVC

In this paper, we propose an efficient dynamic coding scheme by using multiple code words in H.264/A VC entropy coding. The exponential Golomb (Exp-Golomb) code words used in H 264/A VC do not reflect enough the symbol distributions of the combined syntax element in  due to their static probability distribution characteristics However, the multiple codewords in this paper have different statistical characteristics. we propose a dynamic coding scheme by using selectively among multiple codewords to encode the combined syntax clement according to given image sequences. Simulation results show that our proposed scheme outperforms the existing  me in compression efficiency without loss of quality.
A LQ-PID Controller Tuning for TITO System

This paper presents a decentralized LQ-PID controller for the TITO system which satisfies the performance of good command following, disturbance rejection, and sensor noise reduction that is design specifications in the frequency domain The procedure is developed by establishing the relationship between the closed-loop state equations including the decentralized PID tuning parameters and the closed-loop state equations of LQR and by selecting the weighting factors Q and R of the cost function in order to satisfy the design specifications in the frequency domain.
A block-based face detection algorithm for the efficient video coding of a videophone

We propose a new fast, algorithm which is used for detecting frontal face in the frequency domain based on human skin-color using OCT coefficient of dynamic image compression and skin color information. The region where each pixel has a value of skin-color were extracted from U and V value based on DCT coefficient obtained in the process of Image compression using skin-color map in the Y, U, V color space A morphological filter and labeling method are used to eliminate noise in the resulting image We propose the algorithm to detect fastly human face that estimate the directional feature and variance of luminance block of human skin-color Then Extraction of face was completed adaptively on both background have the object analogous to skin-color and background is simple in the proposed algorithm The performance of face detection algorithm is illustrated by some simulation results earned out on various races We confined that a success rate of 94 % was achieved from the experimental results.
Detection of Video Cut Using Autocorrelation Function and Edge Histogram

While the management of digital contents is getting more and more important, many researchers have studied about scene change detection algorithms to reduce similar scenes in the video contents and to efficiently summarize video data. The algorithms using histogram and pixel information are found out as being sensitive to light changes and motion. Therefore, visual rhythm gets used in recent work to solve this problem, which shows some characteristics of scenes and requires even less computational power. In this paper, a new scene detection algorithm using visual rhythm by direction is proposed. The proposed algorithm needs less computational power and is able to keep good performance even in the scenes with motion. Experimental results show the performance improvement of about 30% comparing with conventional methods with histogram. They also show that the proposed algorithm is able to keep the same performance even to music video contents with lots of motion.
Performance A Analysis of OFDM/QPSK-DMR System Using BL-PSF over Microwave Channel Environments

In this paper, the DMR(Digital Microwave Radio) system-based OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) scheme in microwave channel environments has been proposed and system performances have been evaluated. The existing single carrier DMR system has a complex system structure due to using high-level QAM(Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) modulation scheme and so charmel capacity is limited by sensitive effects from fading. Therefore, in the proposed DMR system, it uses that the OFDM scheme for enhancement of fading distortion and also uses that the band-limited pulse shaping filter instead of windowing for no additional data such as GI/GB and for using efficient of IFFT/FFT block. The performance of OFDM/QPSK-DMR system and single carrier DMR system are analysed by computer simulation using two-ray model under the microwave channel environments The computer simulation results confirm that the fade margin of the proposed OFDM/QPSK-DMR system is highly increased as the number of sub-carriers is larger.
Adaptive Blind Watermarking Using Energy Quantization

Digital watermarking is a technique which blends intellectual property right with security Blind watermarking 1S one of the difficult watermark technique because original data or inserted watermark is not needed. In this paper, we propose a new blind watermarking method using energy quantization in wavelet domain to insert watermark. The proposed method is robust for various attacks and attack strength because watermark strength is adaptively changed for energy variation of attacks. Simulation results show the proposed method is robust to various attacks such as noise addition, cropping, blurring, sharpening, maintaining imprescriptibility.
A Wavelet-based Blind Watermarking Scheme Using Pixel Correlation of Low Sub-band

Most watermarking techniques embed watermarks in the middle frequency range for robustness and invisibility. In our proposed watermarking algorithms embed the gaussian sequence watermark into low frequency area of the wavelet transform domain because the histogram of low sub-band area is composed by similar coefficients. Also, our proposed scheme doesn't need the original image in extraction procedure The experimental results show good robustness against the Check Mark benchmarking tools.
The Performance Improvement of MIM0-UWB Systems with Multiband Scheme

UWB, which is now in a process of being standardized in WPAN communication, has some problems such as difficulty of implementation and interference with existing systems. To overcome these problems we will explain the MIMO structure to alleviate difficulties of implementation. In this paper we propose the UWB transceiver structure using multiband scheme to mitigate narrow band interference from PCS Of WLAN which is widely used these days and analyze the effect of noise and narrow band interference by simulation based on numerical analysis.
An Algorithm for Estimating Ep/No of UWB Signals

Recently, the UWB (ultra wide-band) wireless communication technology, which provides high data transmission and is capable of linearly trading between throughput and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), has drawn much attention for short-range wireless networks. Fully exploiting its notable features and minimizing its interference to coexisting other systems require the knowledge of SNR's at receivers In this paper, we propose an algorithm for estimating the pulse energy to noise ratio Ep/No of UWB signal with utilization of outputs from a correlator at a receiver, and evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm through computer simulation. According to simulation results, the maximum standard deviation is about 1 13 dB with a block size of 500. Except for Ep/No=O and 2 dB cases with a block size of 500, no errors greater than 3 dB were observed in all the remaining experiments. Generally speaking, it improves as the true Ep/No, increases and as the block size increases A notable feature of the proposed algorithm is that it does not reduce the effective throughput because the estimation process does not require sending additional training signal of any specific format.
A fast motion estimation method prediction of motion estimation error

This paper presents an enhanced MSEA(multi-level successive elimination algorithm) which is a fast algorithm of the full-search motion estimation. We predict the SAD at the final level using the values of norms at the preceding levels in MSEA and then decide on whether the processing at the following levels should be proceeded or not. We skip the computation at the following levels where the processing is not meaningful anymore. Consequently, we take computational gain. For the purpose of predicting the values of SAD at each level, we first show the theoretical analysis of the value of norm at each level, which is verified by experiments. Based on the analysis a new motion estimation method is proposed and its performance is evaluated.
Least Squares Based Adaptive Motion Vector Prediction Algorithm for Video Coding

This paper addresses an adaptive motion vector prediction algorithm to improve the performance of video encoder. The block-based motion vector is characterized by non-stationary local statistics so that the coefficients of LS (Least Squares) based linear motion can be optimized. However, it requires very expensive computational cost. The proposed algorithm using LS approach with spatially varying motion-directed property adaptively controls the coefficients of the motion predictor and reduces the computational cost as well as the motion prediction error. Experimental results show the capability of the proposed algorithm.
Real-Time Implementation of Wideband Adaptive Multi Rate (AMR-WB) Speech Codec Using TMS32OC6201

This paper deals with analysis and real-time Implementation of a wide band adaptive multirate speech codec (AMR-WB) using a fixed-point DSP of TI's TMS320C6201. In the AMR-WB codec, input speech is divided into two frequency bands, lower and upper bands, and processed independently. The lower band signal is encoded based on the ACELP algorithm and the upper band signal is processed using the random excitation with a linear prediction synthesis filter. The implemented AMR-WB system used 218 kbytes of program memory and 92 kbytes of data memory. And its proper operation was confirmed by comparing a decoded speech signal sample-by-sample with that of PC-based simulation. Maximum required time of 5 75 ms for processing a frame of 20 ms of speech validates real-time operation of the Implemented system.
Design of An Fair Non-Repudiation Protocol Using Digital Signature Recorder

Due to the overwhelming importance the Internet gained nowadays, more and more sophisticated security services are requested. However many applications such as Internet Banking, Home Trading System, Electronic Medical Recede, electronic commerce, etc. are related to non-repudiation. Non-repudiation services are one of these new security requirements. ill comparison to other security issues, such as privacy or authenticity of communications, non-repudiation has not been studied intensively. Informally, we say that a protocol is fair if at the end of the protocol execution either originator receives a non-repudiation of receipt evidence and recipient receives a non-repudiation of origin evidence or none of them receives any valid evidence. The most non-repudiation protocols rely on a trusted third party(TIP) that has to intervene during each protocols run. the TIP may create a communication bottleneck. ill this paper, we suggest the digital signature recorder that guarantees fairness logically and supplies minimal network bottleneck to be composed verification server physically.
