Experimental Development of the PCM Encoder for Telemetry

The time division multiplexing PCM encoder which is constructed for an airborne telemetering system is investigated. Selected by program switch, the PCM encoder has 0~64 words/framd(
5V full scale) of allowable analog input channels, 0~30bits(5V
1V or 0V
1V dc) of discrete channels, 70 and 140K bits/sec of bit rate and 8~12bits/word of resolution. And filtered output PCM code is NRZ-L and Bi-S through the 5 pole Bessel LPF(f=100kHz), and the maximum accuracy of PCM encoder is
0.2% of its full scale.
A Study on the PR shaped SQAM error rate with carrier phase error

A study is presented showing the effect of carrier phase error on the error-rate of a (Class I, II, IV)PR shaped SQAM digital communication system. A simple upper bound on the probabilty of error as a function of phase error is derived and compared to one another. The results show that the three system can be used appropriately if carrier phase error is less than 3
. However, if phase error is larger than 3, the PR class I is the best choice.
Error Probabilities for Digital Transmission in Correlated Gaussian Fading Channels

Calculation of error probabilities for a coherent phase-shilft keyed communication system operating in a transionospheric scintillation channel is accomplished by means of the Gauss-quadrature integration formula. The channel model used, patterned after Rino's work, is slowly flat fading wherein the envelope of the received signal is modeled as the envelope of correlated Gaussian quadrature random processes. The error probability for the scintillation channel is calculated using actual ionospheric scintillation data for transmission in the UHF region(30-300MHz).
A Study on the Active Compensation of Operational Amplifier

The active compensation of operational amplifeir is that it compensates the phase shift and the attennation of gain of OP Amp, according as the frequency increases. The compensation circuit is applied to VCVS and interting integrator. For VCVS, the phase shift of proposed compensated circuit is not concern with the frequency and the gain chracteristic is better than the proposde circuit by Soliman, according as the rate of feedback resistors of compensated circuit changes. Voltage follower accomplishies compgnsation using the same circuit. Also, the compensation circuit to increase O-ffactor in inverting integrator is proposed.
A Study on the Korean Consonants Synthesis using Switched-Capaciter Filter

In this paper, we designed the programmable 2nd order switched capacitor filter that the center frequency can be varied linearly with the clock frequency, and that the peak gaion and the selectivity can be controlled with digital signal by the capacitor array. In addition, speech synthesizer system was constructed with this filter, korean consonants being synthesized. Therefore, this filter shows the possibility that most Korean language sounds can be synthesized in the real time mode.
A Comparison for Radiation Pattern of Parabolic Antennas with Sidelobe Suppressor

Three types of parabolic antenna to reduce the sidelobes and backlobe are compared to determine the best suppressive effect under same conditions which are side rim loading parabilic antenna, flanged prabolic antenna. The hooded parabolic antenna adhered polyurethan form impregnated carbon powder in shows the best shape of suppressed the side back lobes that is 5 to 10 dB suppression of sidelobe and 15dB suppression of back lobe for E-plane.
An Improvement in Detection Performance of Logarithmic Receiver

A serious degradation of blocking of the detection performance in a cell aeraging-logarithmic detector/constant false alarm rate(CA-LOG/CFAR) is known to be caused by the presence of a large interfering noise in the set of sample mean. A technique consisting of the logarithmic circuit and inverter has been proposed to alleviate this problem, by modifying the conventional CA-LOG/CFAR receiver. The detection performance of the proposed technique is linearly improbed over the normal output level and the blocking characteristics of the CA-LOG/CFAR can be changed to finite output level.
