Random Vibration Analysis of Composite Laminated Beams

The responses of composite laminated beams modeled with finite element and excited by stochastic loading are studied. The cantilevered laminated beam having a 5 ply configuration is considered. The beam is 1m long, 0.1m wide, and 0.02m thick, yielding a length to thickness ratio of L/h=50. The laminated beams was assumed to be made of Born Epoxy. The four nodes at the free end of the cantilever were loaded with identical zero-mean white noise excitations. Stress and failure analysis loaded with identical zero-mean white noise excitations is carried out. Along with the obtained results, comparison and discussion are presented for the cases of symmetric-ply, antisymmetric-ply, angle-ply, and cross-ply laminated beams.
Construction of Cable Staying Roof Structure of Jeju Worldcup Stadium

The cable staying roof structure of Jeju worldcup stadium should be erected with correct prestressed force that is required by the structural engineer who designs this structure. This study evaluated and adapted the erection process of cable, the erection force and the measurement of cable force for Jeju worldcup stadium. The process of erection is required not only to calculate erection force but also to check structural stability, following process, construction period and using cranes. Considering the site conditions and technical problems, this study can attain successfully the erection of cable staying roof structure of Jeju worldcup stadium with allowable errors.
Buckling Analysis of Spherical Shells that Rigidity-Distribution has Periodicity

Research about spherical shells been applying most usually is achieved by many investigators already and generalized equation has been derived. But, existent research is limited in case that spherical shell's roof rigidity is isotropy or orthotropy, and research that consider periodicity of rigidity-distribution that can happen by doing spherical shell's roof system by lattice system is not gone entirely. The purpose of this paper is applying Galerkin method to spherical shell that model periodicity of roof rigidity distribution that appear by roof lattice form of large space structure and develop structural analysis program that formularize. Rigidity-model of this research selects that of spherical shell which has 2-way grid. In this paper, buckling-strength and deformation distribution of isotopic spherical shell and 2-way grid spherical shell obtained by developed program could confirm the reliability by comparison with result of existent research.
An Analytic Study on the Bond Stress between Concrete and Steel Tube in CFT Rectangular Column

An analytic study on the bond stress between steel tube and concrete in concrete filled steel(CFT) rectangular column is presented in this paper. Recently buildings need members which are enhanced durability and ductility. Concrete filled rectangular column system is proposed as alternative plan. In this paper, ABAQUS/Standard Version 5.8 which is identified as usefulness for finite element analysis and has various element library is used. The variables in this study are the location and type of shear-connector. The modeling on contact problem practiced by Contact Pair and Contact Pressure method. In the step of physical bond, it is practiced by Change friction option After yielding of models, analytic results is less than that of experimental results.
A Study of Unstable Phenomenon of Flow Truss Dome Structure with Asymmetric Load Modes

The structure system that is discreterized by continuous shells is usually used to make a large space structures and these structures show the collapse mechanisms that are captured at over the limit load, and snap-through and bifurcation are most well known of it. For the collapse mechanism, rise-span ratio, element stiffness and load mode are main factor, which it give an effect to unstable behavior. Moreover, resist force of structure can be reduced by initial condition and initial imperfection significantly. In order to investigate the instability of shell structures, the finite deformation theory can be applied and it becomes a nonlinear mathematics in which use equation of tangential stiffness incrementally. With an initial imperfection, using simple example and Flow Truss Dome, the buckling characteristics of space truss is main purpose of this paper, and unstable behavior is studied by proposed the numerical method. Also, by using MIDAS, this research work analyzes displacements and inner forces as the design load of model, and the ratio of buckling load of design load is investigated.
