Seismic Behavior of the Spacial Structure with Seismic Isolation

The seismic isolation systems could be used to reduce the seismic response of a structure. The natural period of a structure with seismic isolation system got be long to avoid the prominent seismic period. The purpose of this study is to analyzed the seismic behavior of the truss arch that is supported to column with LRB. Truss arch structures subjected to horizontal seismic have large horizontal and vertical response unlike seismic behavior of normal rahmen structures. When seismic load is applied to the truss arch with isolation systems, the horizontal acceleration response of the truss arch is reduced and the vertical seismic response is remarkably reduced. Also, the seismic behaviors of the truss arch with strengthen column as like lattice column are very similar to that of the truss arch supported to directly foundation. The Seismic Isolation system can be applied to reduce efficiently the seismic response of the spacial structure with not strong column.
A Study on the Seismic Response of Arch Structures Using Artificial Earthquake Ground Motions

Seismic safety is more important for large spatial structure such as theaters, stadiums, gymnasiums since these structure are public goods. It is, however, difficult to understand behavior taking place when large spatial structure which has variety of structural system and shape receives seismic load. On this study, the natural vibration mode of arch structure which is main structural element of the large spatial structure, is checked. And then, when the artificial earthquake ground motion is applied to arch structure, it is more affective by long period component than magnitude of design acceleration spectrum.
Development of Measuring System of Membrane Stress for Membrane Structure

This paper is concerned with the development of a measurement system using field measuring device which will give the membrane stress of the membrane structures. Up to this point, several techniques on measurement of membrane stresses has been proposed and some have been used in the fields, but accuracy of the measured stresses to be far from reliable one. Such situation has not been changed until recent days, we do not have the measurement device on which we can depend. On top of that, due to the different properties in cross directions for material of the membrane, the stress in the warp direction is different from that in the fill one.
Estimation of Damage Using Accelerometer of 3 Axial in Reinforcement Concrete

The R.C Building will be superannuated as time passes by heavy load and serviceability. Methods of damage detection are used a visual angle of human or non-destructive test in the R.C Building. In case of the latter, Problems of damage detection are occurred to directions of steel bar. Elastic waves are difficult to assaying test using 1 axial type of accelerometer in reinforced concrete. In this study, fundamental studies for estimations using 3 axial type of accelerometer are discussed oscillator of elastic waves when embedded glass tube pipe or steel bar in flexible concrete specimens.
Case Studies of Domestic and Foreign Photovoltaic Integrated Projects

This paper is concerned with the domestic and foreign PV integrated projects in view of structural design. These projects are classified with public and display 6 facilities. The evaluated items are natural integration with building, engineering details and innovative new design. 6 domestic public and display facilities are frequently using isolated supporting system at roof, but show weakness in design integration. But the cases, using the PV panel in the stage of design some display facilities, are increasing. In the other hand, foreign public and display facilities are using the modul connection majorly and the structural and design integration are obtained.
Deformation Measuring of Tensegrity Structure by Optical Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor

The object of this paper is to verify possible to monitor the deformation of cable in the tensegrity structure. Also, always monitoring system of tensegrity structure using Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor is described. We carry out experiments with measuring deformation of cable in the tensegrity structure based on loading conditions. In the result of experiment, the Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors shows accurate response to the loading conditions. Therefore, we can make sure the possibility of Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor in health monitoring of the cable structure like tensegrity structure.
