Service Quality Model for Library and Information Center : Focusing on LibQUAL+

The rapid change in almost every area of science at the turn of the 21st century have also affected libraries and information centers. Whatever the change, from the library users' perspective, the functions provided by the library, is perceived as "service" and the satisfaction of the users can only be measured by the quality of the service. The library and information center acting as a service provider aims to establish a framework for improvements in services by focusing on the user's perspective on service quality and classifying the factors that contribute to service quality. This study adopted the LibQUAL+ model, which is derived from SERVQUAL model for measuring quality of service in the field of Service Marketing.
A Study on the Copyright Understanding of Information Experts in the Library and Information Center

This paper has attempted to identify use status of information reproduction in the library and information center. At the same time, it investigated how information experts understanding about the copyright protection and information experts' knowledge to relate items of the copyright law.
Standardization of Digital Archiving and OAIS Reference Model

OAIS Reference Model has become a basis for exchanging ideas and cooperating among institutions and various sectors concerned with digital archiving. It has been also recently approved as a new ISO standard. This paper reviews major concepts and issues that the reference addresses. It also introduces current activities of institutions and projects that have contributed to the development process of the model. Conclusion is devoted to address the importance of cooperation among cultural institutions. These institutions are taking the responsibility of preserving digital information for the long-term as authentic as possible and delivering it to the next generation.
A Study on the KISTI Authority File for Conference Names and Corporate Names

The purpose of this study is to describe the current practises and procedure of building the authority file for corporate names and conference names for Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information Authority Database, and the characteristics of OCLC WorldCat and Library of Congress Authorities Database as the sources for importing authority records. Workflow of creating authorities records is explained and the structures and search strategies for OCLC and LC databases are compared and analyzed. The actual procedures of importing records from outside sources and revising their contents to represent KISTI's needs are described step by step, and records are illustrated.

With China Market and strengthening of an international and political position of China, we need to promote exchange and cooperation with China for the supplement of economic vitality and for contriving the contribution of the flow of growth. The necessity of salient traits is needed such as sharing information, training a specialist, network between China Specialists, system establishment of China information DB and sharing China information. Accordingly, KIEP makes the most of limited special manpower and information, and developed China Specialist Forum Website : CSF which will make a stepping stone of systematic, synthetic exchange and cooperation with China. KIEP presented a development direction, comparing and analyzing promptly easy to get the information China Specialists want here, CSF made for mutual exchange of science, trade and the other issue, Taiwan website "a commercial business intelligence network of China and Taiwan", and Singapore "IE Singapore".
A Review of Library Information Service Utilizing Mobile Technology

Since mobile internet technology emerging from late 1990's provides anytime and anywhere accessibility to information, mobile is adapted in the various field to increase efficiency of work. After looking into the trend of mobile contents services, case studies of information services using mobile were investigated in this paper. Library information services are providing retrieval of library OPAC and verifications of circulation and return date using mobile internet technology. In addition, various notice services using short message service(SMS) of mobile are available. Considering growing mobile users and advancement of related technology, more information services utilizing mobile should be developed in near future.
