An Effect Analysis According to Change of Logistics Course of Undersea Tunnel Construction between Korea and Japan

Logistics needs in Asia are surprisingly increasing due to rapid growth of China in Northeast Asia We are endeavoring to make an economic block in opposition to NAFTA and EU by economic revival, political stability, and easing of exclusive parts between countries as increasing of traffic infra such as asian highway, transcontinental railway in the region of Northeast Asia and as considering diversification of transportation mode. Now, Busan is not a final terminal of this business, and it is not a concreted level in considering an undersea tunnel between Korea and Japan as effort to extend to Japan. Therefore, this study performed an effect analysis which be affected to Northeast Asia and Korea in future by analysis and comparison of a cost and time required of marine transportation and railway before and after construction through course analysis and summary of discussed content until now for undersea tunnel between Korea and Japan. This result expects as a accelerative play for study cf undersea tunnel between Korea and Japan in future. In this result, we estimate that it is an effective things in a cost and time required if undersea tunnel between Korea and Japan is constructed, and we simply searched for theirs effects in the aspects of Northeast Asia, national balanced development, regional economic in Busan, and marine logistics.
Basic Study on Design Guideline of Traffic Separation Scheme

Route Design & TSS(Traffic Separation Scheme} establishment are often used to improve the maritime traffic safety in the heavily congested traffic area. There are several domestic and international route design guidelines, but there is no guideline of TSS design As a result, TSS is usually designed based on the subjective opinions of professionals in this field. Until now, there exist a few papers dealing with the effects of TSS on the reduction of maritime accidents, however, it is hard to find a paper on the design guidelines of TSS. In this paper, TSS design guidelines are proposed based on the quantitative assessment of navigational difficulty felt by mariners, which is expected to improve navigational safety of vessels in congested area.
A Study on Marketing Analysis of Incheon Container Ports

Fierce competition to attract the increasing container cargoes of north China in competitive ports has make port marketing to be desperate necessity. In this situation, port marketing of Incheon container ports is requisite conditions to leap one step. Therefore, this study aims to propose core factors for marketing strategy by the feasible marketing analysis. The major shows as follows. Incheon is required to adjust port tariff and handling cost by incentive policy, enhance service coming alongside the berth, increase efficiency of port handling service and inland transportation system.
A Study on Harbor Logistics in China

China has been the hub of business in Asia' and has developed infra-system and development policy on harbor and logistics. Investment on development of Sanghai port and fang river has been increasing. This development has put importance on logistics in East Asia Additionally, port surrounding of China has been activated Therefore, This paper is going to suggest three measures. First, shipping corporation of Korea will provide different services and network according to the growth of China logistics. Secondly, Korea is to invest with Chinese companies around fang river to freight service industry. Thirdly, it is to construct Yellow sea Rim transport network by Sanghai port and fang river development.
Analysis of Transshipment Type of Busan Port Utilizing Regional Hub Port Function

Busan Port has been facing critical situation in terms of container handling volume, especially growth rate of transshipment(T/S) container of the year of 2006 was at a standstill. Annual average growth rate of T/S container during the period of 2003 to 2006 slowed down to 7.7% while it recorded over 34% to the period of 1999 to 2002. It has mainly resulted from the change of circumstance of Northeast Asian ports, that is, firstly mega carriers' increasing direct call to Northern Chinese ports such as Qingdao, Tianjin and Dairen effected to T/S container volume of Busan port, secondly start to operate deep-water port of Shanghai, thirdly Japanese super hub port project to handle their local containers at domestic ports. This paper aims to analyze the T/S type of inter-routes and hub and spoke and statistical status of Busan port. The purpose of the paper is to propose new concept which is to attract T/S container utilizing hub port function of Busan port in Northeast Asia It is that mega carriers are given dedicated terminals to use Busan port as T/S base in the region.
A Study on the Queueing Simulation of Lock Gates according to the Functional Rearrangement in Incheon Port

Due to the construction of Incheon Grand Bridge, there is driven a necessity for rearranging the function of Inner Port with the development of Outer South Port. In this paper, I'd like to simulate the port operation levels of Lock Gate in Inner Port with estimating the traffic volumes of 2011 and 2015, which will reveal the Demurrage Cost and the Accumulation Cost of Freight in Inner Port. Finally I will evaluate the economic movement effects of the container ship's calling from Inner port to South Port/Outer South Port from 2011 to 2015. The results are as followings ; (1) The average utilization of Lock Gates are reduced by
percentage point. (2) The mean queueing value are saved by 25 percentage point. (3) The Demurrage Cost and the Accumulation Cost of Freight except Lock Gate charges and the Benefit of Routeing Reduction are saved about 800 million Won annually.
A study for numerical simulation about grounding of 105k tanker

Recently, environmental design are becoming a matter of grave concern in shipbuilding. Out of these concern, oil spilt which is induced by grounding accidents is very critical reason of the ocean pollution. Therefore, a series qf quarter of 105k tanker model grounding simulations were conducted to analyze it's characteristics for the accident. ship get using LS-DYNA3D. In this paper, to conduct whole simulations, a meshsize convergence test was carried out to determine appropriate meshsize for grounding test. After the series analysis. These results were analyzed as each case.
A Study on the Effect of Wind Force and Moment Acting on T/S HANNARA

In recent trends of the enlargement and specialization, container ship, LNCG, PCC and passenger ship which have relatively large hull and superstructure above the water line, are already being operated in the world It is very important information for the safety operation of these vessels to estimate the ship's performance under the specific wind condition while berthing, unberthing or low-speed sailing. In this paper, the effect of wind force and moment acting on the training ship HANNARA is investigated by using the numerical calculations. The results of drift angle and counter rudder angle with the relative wind direction and force, the critical wind velocity with the ratio of wind velocity and ship's speed and maximum heeling angle with the wind velocity are shown The presented results can be applied directly to T/S HANNARA in berthing maneuver and avoiding typhoons, and utilized as an educational materials.
Design and Analysis of Power System for Buoy

This paper presents the performance of PV(Photovoltaic) system, the design of MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracker). Output of PV power system is DC, and PV power system is linked to the DC bus. The current(I)-voltage(V) output characteristic of PV cells changes with solar irradiance and cell temperature as parameters. As various PV modules respond differently to each of the parameters cited above. Maximum output of PV modules am be achieved by MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracker) algorithm This paper includes a discussion on the performance of PV module, MPPT algorithm and the influence of PV module angle.
Axial Collapse Behaviour of Ship's Stiffened Panels considering Lateral Pressure Load

Stiffened steel plates are basic structural members on the deck and bottom structure in ship, offshore. It has a number of one sided stiffeners in either one or both directions, the latter structure was called grillage structure. At the ship structural desgn stage, one of the major consideration is evaluation for ultimate strength of the hull girder. In general, it is accepted that hull girder strength can be represented by the local strength of the longitudinal stiffened panel. In case of considering hogging condition in a stormy sea, stiffened panel was acting on the bottom structure under axial compressive load induced hull girder bending moment, also simultaneously arising local bending moment induced lateral pressure load. In this paper, results of the structural analysis have been compared with another detailed FEA program and prediction from design guideline and a series analysis was conducted consideration of changing parameters for instance, analysis range, cross-section of stiffener, web height and amplitude of lateral pressure load subjected to combined load (axial compression and lateral pressure load). It has been found that finite element modeling is capable of predicting the behaviour and ultimate load capacity of a simply supported stiffened plate subjected to combined load of axial compression and lateral pressure load It is expected that these results will be used to examine the effect of interaction between lateral pressure and axial loads for the ultimate load-carrying capacity based on the Ultimate Limit State design guideline.
Optimal State Feedback Control of Container Crane Using RCGA Technique

The container crane is one of the most important equipments at container terminal. If its working time in cycle could be reduced then container terminal efficiency and service level can be increased. So there are many i1forts to reduce working time of container cranes. It means how to design the controller with good performance which has small overshoot and swing motion of container crane. We, in this paper, present a state feedback controller based on LQ theory incorporating a RCGA which means real-coded genetic algorithm RCGA can search state feedback gains under given objective function. A set of simulation works are carried out in order to prove the control effectiveness of the proposed methods.
Performance Evaluation of the Next Generation Stevedoring System at Container Terminal

This study aims at newly constructing and evaluating performance of the stevedoring equipment systems in terminals. The stevedoring equipments used in conventional terminals are insufficient in flexibility in their functions or design structure, and most of the stevedoring systems based on such equipments have conventional design, therefore, limited in improving the productivity of terminals both in performance and functionality. The stevedoring equipment systems in terminals, in general, can be subdivided into 4 subsystems of quay, transportation, yard, and gate system, which carry out loading and unloading works with proper facilities and equipments. In this study, a design of next generation stevedoring equipment system comprised of various stevedoring equipments which have superior performance and functionalities to the conventional equipments was proposed, and its performance was evaluated.
Design and Implementation of Red Tide Monitoring System using Wireless Sensor Network

The outbreaks of red tide were sporadic in the South Sea until 1994, but have become frequent and widespread in whole coastal waters of the South Sea and East Sea since 1995 For monitoring of red tide, many kinds of techniques such as remote sensing, GIS and fuzzy model system have been developed and applied. The purpose of this paper is to develop red tide monitoring system for collection of red tide data and biological-oceanography parameters using wireless sensor network. The wireless sensor network has been noticed as a core technology in order to realize ubiquitous computing. In this paper, we design red tide database using wireless sensor network and suggest red tide monitoring software and web-service for user and biological-oceanographer.
Estimation of Buckling and Plastic Behaviour according to the Analysis Model of the Stiffened Plate

Ship structures are basically an assembly of plate elements and estimation load-carrying capacity or the ultimate strength is one of the most important criterion for estimated safety assessment and rational design on the ship structure. Also, Structural elements making up ship plated structures do not work separately against external load. One of the critical collapse events of a ship structure is the occurrence of overall buckling and plastic collapse of deck or bottom structure subjected to longitudinal bending. So, the deck and the bottom plates are reinforced by a number af longitudinal stiffeners to increase their strength and load-carrying capacity. For a rational design avoiding such a sudden collapse, it is very important to know the buckling and plastic behaviour or collapse pattern of the stiffened plate under axial compression. In this present study, to investigate effect af modeling range, the finite element method are used and their results are compared varying the analysis ranges. When making the FEA model, six types of structural modeling are adopted varying the cross section of stiffener. In the present paper, a series of FEM elastoplastic large deflection analyses is performed on a stiffened plate with fiat-bar, angle-bar and tee-bar stiffeners. When the applied axial loading, the influences of cross-sectional geometries on collapse behaviour are discussed. The purpose of the present study is examined to numerically calculate the characteristics of buckling and ultimate strength behavior according to the analysis method of ship's stiffened plate subject to axial loading.
