A Study of consumer behavior for electric appliance according to emergencing price-off store

The purpose of this study of identify the changing trends of consumer behavior to emergencing Price-off store. Therefore this study analyzed contributing factors to consumer market selection behavior focused on electric appliances. for these research the data were collected through the questionnaire and 407 respondents were housewives in Seoul and Gyeongi-do. Their data were analyzed using Frequency Mean and
-test. The Major findings of this study were as follows. 1) The percentage of purchasing the national brands of electric appliances were majority. In general the frequency prefered shopping store were the general agents department store discount store and wholesale club were in order. 2) When consumer buy the electric appliance in wholsesale club the buying percentage of iron was the highest. And the percentage of selection of foreign goods brands were very high. 3) The most important factors to determine the using Price-off store was the presence of this market around the housing and easing and easiness of parking.
The Perception of Residential Privacy of the Elderly

The purpose of this study was to identify the level of residential privacy perceived by the elderly and also to identify contributing factors on their perception of privacy. This study examined the relations among socio-demographic characteristics housing characteristics and personal perception of privacy. The number of 469 elderly aged 55 and over were interviewed in Seoul. Daejeon Jeonju and Daegu, The data were analyzed by statistical methods such as frequencies means and multiple liner regression analysis. The result showed that the significant variables related to the perception of residential privacy of the elderly were the personal self-esteem age housing tenure pattern of using spaces family solidarity and availability of the perception of private space. The perception of the privacy of the elderly can be affected by personal characteristics and the privacy can be achieved by improving their present housing environment.
The Content Analysis of the Articles Related on Environment

This study analyzed the contents of the articles related on Environment in Dong-a & chosun daily newspapers for one year lately. In this study the articles were classified by the theme categories season and nature of messages. Through the result of this study we can understand what were major issues and concerns related on environment lately. The findings can be summarized follows: 1. The identified 757 articles were categorized into eight theme categories. In each theme category the articles on Litter area were reported the most frequently. 2. Also there was no great difference among frequency of the articles by four season but in summer articles on environment were written more frequently and in spring the least. 3. The numbers of informative articles were more than that of directive articles. The recommendations of these results were suggested.
parenting Stress and Social Support of nfant's Mothers

The purposes of this study were to investigate the difference of maternal parenting stress and social support according to infant's age and to examine the effect of social support and infant's age on parenting stress. The subjects were 145 mothers who have 2-5 olds children. The questionnaire was used as a methodological instrument and the statistics used for data analysis were frequency percentile mean t-test Pearson's r-coefficient and multiple regression. Results of this study indicate that mothers with 2-3 olds child perceived more child's demandingness and mothers with 4-5 olds child perceived more mother's competence. Mothers with 2-3 olds child perceived more social support than mothers with 4-5 olds child. Husbahd's support and infant's age were found to be important variables in predicting parenting stress.
The Effect of Role-playing on Childeren's Pro-social Behavior(I)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of unstructured and spontaeous role-playing in pro-social behavior of a child. The experimental group in this study is 7 children who go to after-school class in J. social welfare facility and the controlled group is 7 children in composition class., While the experimental group did role-playing with each other the control group did not have any treatment, In order to find out effects of an experiment pre-test first post-test and second post-test were done. The results can be concluded as following. First in pre-test the degree of behavior resulted the same in experimental group and in controlled group. However in the first post-test the pro-social behavior of the experimental group with role-playing showed an improve than that of the controlled group. Therefore it can be emphasized once more that the role-playing improves pro-social behavior of a child. Second in the second post-test done 2 moth after the role-playing it was found that the pro-social behavior of experimental group keep the improved points as in the first post-test Therefore it can be concluded that the effect of role-playing on pro-social behavior of a child is continuous.
Men's Role Conflicts in Dual-Earner Family

The purpose of this study is to examine men's role conflicts of dual-earner family based on man's role type. Man's role type is composed of man's sex role attitude and family-role performance and categorized in four types such as traditionalism type neo-traditionalism type equalitarianism type and inconsistancy type. The test analysis can be summarized as follows; First test analysis can be summarized as follows; role performance and man's role conflict as working hours is long wife's role requirement is high family-role conflict as working hours is long wife's role requirement is high family-role is not commit man's role conflict directly affected. In addition indirect affect through family-role performance shows that man's role conflict level is low as level of income is high level of income difference between man and wife is low child is younger and intent to modern sex-role attitude. Second looking into the difference role conflict to man's role type it shows that equalita ianism type's role conflict is low and man's role conflict in traditionalism and neo-traditonalism types is high.
Exploration of psychosocial variables related to mother's parenting stress

The purpose of this study was to examine the relations among mother's self-differentiation intimate. relationship parental role satisfaction and parenting stress. The subjects were 144 middle class mothers who have a first-born child aged from 6 to 36 months in Seoul. Data were gathered via questionnaire distributed to the mothers. The major results were as follows; (1) Mothers who achieved higher self-differentiation perceived lower parenting stress. (2) Mothers who highly satisfied with both their husbands' support and marital relations perceived lower parenting stress. (3) Mother's parental role satisfaction was not related to mother's parenting stress. (4) The variables predicting parenting stress were mother's self-differentiatin mother's satisfaction with intimate relationship and husband's support. However the predictive powers of these variables were different depending on mother's employment status.
The effects of leisure participation and leisure satisfaction on life satisfaction of elderly

The purpose of this study was to analyze a path model that investigated the relations among leisure participation, leisure satisfaction and life satisfaction of the elderly. For the purpose conceptual framework based on previous studies was suggested. The sample in this study consisted of 489 elderly living in Seoul. Daejeon Jeonju and daegu. Statistics employed for the analysis were frequencies means one way anova multiple regression and path analysis. The results showed some evidence that supported the conceptual framework. In path model elderly's health status total asset family relationship self-esteem locus of control leisure participation and leisure satisfaction had direct effects on the life satisfaction. Also total asset, self-esteem and leisure participation had indirect effects through leisure satisfaction.
The Work Load and Coping Strategies of the Married female Production Workers in Taegu

This study investigates work loads and coping strategies of the married female production workers(MFPW). The data of 370 MFPW in manufacturing sector in Taegu are collected by using a questionare in August 1995 The findings of this study are as follow: 1) The results of objective work loads assessed time dairy show that the average working hours is 14.25 hours during weekdays. The respondents spend 11.5 hours and 2.75 hours on doing paid and household work respectively,. The shortage of phisiological and leisure time due to spending excessively long time on work. 2) MFPW perceive the severe subjective work loads in the areas of personal family and social life. The perceived burden from paid work itself is relatively low due to the nature of their job. 3) The coping strategies MFPW actually adopted are limited mostly to those from an individual domain such as shortening the time for sleep leisure or household labor.
