Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles, volume 16, issue 1, 1992, Pages 23~31
Mother's Clothing Behavior has a great influence on her daughter's Clothing Behavior. . Daughters are apt be influenced by their mothers in every respect and were greatly affected by the clothing behaviors of mothers to whom they pay their respect. From this point, this study is to examine the relationship between daughter's clothing behavior and their mother's clothing behavior. Two questionnaires were administered to 459 mother and 459 daughter selected from 4 universities in Seoul. The questionnaires were composed of two major categories: those for daughters and for mothers. Aspects of clothing behavior consist of seven variables such as modesty, decency, aesthetic, display, attention, fashion, conformity. For the analytical study on data, methods through coefficients of correlation, analysis of variance, multiple regression analysis were used. The results of this study were summerized as follows; There was significant relationship between daughter's clothing behavior and her mother's clothing behavior, i.e., Clothing behavior formation of daughter was most important influenced by mother's clothing behavior.

Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles, volume 16, issue 1, 1992, Pages 33~52
In order to get the basic information about the designing and manufacturing of special clothing which is suitable diplegia individuals, taking anthropometic measurements, the di-plegia's body dimension, standard dimension, their correlation, maximum, minimum, the relative deviation graph of Mollison and the body index were obtained. The writer examined their body development and abnormal somatotype and compared the difference with the normal somatotype. The results are as follows: 1 One characteristic of the body of diplegia individuals is that their lower parts are dis- proportionately developed, compared to their upper parts. 2. Diplegia individuals have smaller measurements than those of the normal; height, breadth, and circumference measurments of lower parts. And diplegia individuals have larger measur- ments; breadth and circumference measurements of upper parts, most of the length measur- ements. 3. In body index, diplegia individuals have lager measurments than those of the normals; most of index for stature and chest circumference and waist circumference index. And diplegia individuals have smaller measurments; most of the lower parts. 4. Change of somatotype according to age is unbalanced different from the normal's. 5. For the proportion of diplegia individuals, therefore a different pattern design of ciothing is required based on their special somatotype.

Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles, volume 16, issue 1, 1992, Pages 53~63
The purpose of this study is to investigate the method of trace gas technique by G.C and the effects of the type of blouse on ventilation. The experimental system employed a trace gas technique in which ventilation was monitored to determine oxigen exchange rate. The experimental variables were tested with three types of blouse depending on the sizes of neckline, armhole and waist line. Exercise conditions include standing and walking position. The results and discussion forcused on the construct validity of the apparatus/testing protocol. the effect of experimental variables on ventilation was also discussed.
Removal of Oily Soils from the PET Fabric Treated with Hydrophilic Chemicals
Chung Hae Won ; Obendorf S. Kay ;
Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles, volume 16, issue 1, 1992, Pages 65~71
The influences of hydrophilic treatment of the PET fabric on soiling and detergency of triolein were studied. The amounts of residual triolein were determined by radiotracer analysis, and distributions of the unsaturated oils on the fabric were evaluated by backscattered electron images. The removal of triolein was increased when the PET fabrics were treated. SRP pretreatment was more effective on the oily soil removal than the of addition of SRP in the detergent. The oily soil of triolein only was packed between the fibers, but mixed soil was distributed around the fibers. When the mixed soil was used, detergent solution could penetrate the continuous interfiber capillaries, this would be one of the reasons that mixed soil was removed rmore extensively.
Risk Perceived by Consumers in Apparel Buying Situation ( II ) Types of Risk Reduction Methods and Their Relationships with Risk Types and Consumers' Demographic Variables
Kim Chan Ju ;
Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles, volume 16, issue 1, 1992, Pages 73~83
This paper examined risk reduction methods utilized by consumers in apparel buying situation in multidimensional conceptual framework, and analyzed the relationships between risk types, consumer demographic variables and preferences of risk reduction methods. Samples of 224 consumers were deliberately selected to include various demographic characteristics such as sex, age, educational level, occupation, income level. The results of the principal axis factor analysis indicated that 26 item risk reduction methods could be summarized into 6 meaningful factors; Marketer-dominated Information Sources Use (MIS), Prepurchase Deliberation / Observation i Dependence on Past Buying Experience (DOE), Independent Information Sources Use (lIS), Interpersonal Information Sources Use (PIS), Brand Loyalty (BL), Label Reading / Guarantee Buying (RG). DOE were used most whereas IIS used least. Correlations of various types of risk perceived with the preference of risk reduction methods were significant especially for positive relationship between psychologi-cal and/or economic risk and DOE, and between social risk and/or fashionability loss and MIS. Results of ANOVA and Duncan test suggested that sex, age, educational level, occupation of consumers can act as ones of determinant variables on making differences in the use of risk reduction methods.

Lee In Sa ;
Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles, volume 16, issue 1, 1992, Pages 85~96
The puropse of this study is to find out that whether the juvenile delinquency could be decreased by the revival of school uniform for the high school students. For this purpose, the difference and frequency of juvenile delinquency between uniformed students and none·uniformed students were surveyed. In addition, the relation among the students, social classes, receiving attitude for the sub-culture, with juvenile delinquency were also surveyed. For this study, 728 high school students were' studied with a questionaire. They were 328 ' uniformed students from 6 schools and 400 none-uniformed students from other 6 schools. The conclusions of this study are as follow: 1. The order of juvenile delinquency is resistance to their parents and teachers, cunning in examination, drinking, watching shameful video tapes, possession of dirty books and pictures, gambling, entering to thea rooms, billiard rooms, the prohibited cinema houses aild drinking houses, and smoking. The students' delinquency was chiefly misdeed against the public order and social position and most of them were without any victims. And there were no misdeed such as drug addiction, robbrry and bodily harm. 2. The difference of juvenile delinquency between uniformed and non·uniformed schools was not found. 3. More nisdeed were occurred when they were without uniform; especially in cases of entering to shameful video shops, drinking houses, tea rooms and billiard rooms. 4.The logical propriety that the juvenile delinquency would be decreased by putting on uniform to all students is scarce, because Ell misdeed were occurred when they were without uniform after school. Uniform were worn only when they go to school. 5. A negative effect between student's affection toward their parents and schools, and juvenile deliquency was found. Much they love their parents and schools, less misdeed occurred. 6. Positive effect between sub·culture and juvenile delinquency was found. The friendship with delinquent students gives a great influence to juvenile delinquency.

Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles, volume 16, issue 1, 1992, Pages 97~110
Impressionism was the epoch in art which marked the beginning of modern times. For the relatively short period of twenty years, from the middle of the 19th century until approximately 1875, Impressionism was style forming. Then the dissolving tendencies became increasingly stronger A number of artists remained true to the style, some of them lifelong, well into the 20th century. Other, after years of experimenting with other styles, returned to their Impres- sionistic beginnings. However, they were individual personalities with their own artistic hand. Quite a few painters entered the circle of Impressionism after 1875 & used the perceptions of this art in their later works. Especially, Impressionism's light & color affected both 20th's painting & other sorts of art. From the fashion point of view, the influence of Impressionism affected a great deal on the 20th than 19th fashion. As a result the influence of Impressionism on Modern Fashion was as follow: 1. Chu Myoung Hee ;
Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles, volume 16, issue 1, 1992, Pages 123~136
The art which has been beginning and existing with the origin of human civilization had originated from human's play impulse, so called instincts incidentally and inevitably. The highly developed material civilization resulted in human alienations, and by turn to the primitive in order to overcome human alienationsalso they obtained creative inspiration from this activity and, in the result, created various animated arts. In this respect, the purpose of the study is to identify the primitivism in Lacroix fashion and the relationship between the modern art and in his design regarding the external plasticity and internal symbolism. For this purpose, 1 analyze the factors of primitivism in Lacroix fashion, and demonstrates the affinity between the primitivism, which is represented in his dress and the modern painting through the comparision and analysis of works, and dresses of Lacroix. Finally, Ican find out the guie close analogy of primitivism between the modern painting and the Lacroix's dress. That is, even the Lacroix fashion and modern painting are in different genre, they pursued the same way in the same category of art, we have a reperception of that fashion can be positioned in line with the art, as its one genre.
