Effects of wearing disposable diaper with the endothermic agent on thermal responses of infant

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of wearing disposable diaper with the endothermic agent on thermoregulatory response of infant. Five healthy female infants aged about 5 months were taken as a subject of this experiment. Experimental diapers were six kinds of disposable diaper constructed of nonwoven tissue, fluff pulp, super absorbent polymer, back sheet film, leg elastic, and 0g urea(A) 1g urea(B) , 2g urea(C), 3g urea (D), 4g urea(E) 5g, urea(F) respectively. Urea(98% or over purity) was used as an endothermic agent. Experiment was proceeded while infants were sleeping at 27.5
5% R.H, 0.04m/sec. Each disposable diaper's properties was tested. Characteristics and Dyeing Properties of Green Tea Colorants (Part III) -Dyeing Properties of Cotton with Green Tea Colorants-

Dyeing properties of cotton fabrics with green tea colorants were studied by investigating the effects of dyeing conditions such as colorants concentration. pH dyeing temperature and time on dye uptakes effects of mordats on dye uptakes and color change and effects of cationizing agent on dye uptakes. And various colorfastnesses of dyed fabrics were evaluated for practical use. Green tea colorants showed low affinity to cotton and produced yellowish red color. Freundlich adsorption isotherm was obtained thus it is considered that hydrogen bondings are formed between colorants and cotton. Dye uptake was maximum at pH 5 and decreased as pH increased. Mordants especially Cu and Sn were effective for increasing dye uptake. Dye uptakes were improved remarkably by cationizing. Cationized cotton showed Langumuir adsorption isotherm indicating that ionic bondings were formed between colorants and cationized cotton. While mordanting did not affect lightfastness cationizing affected adversely. Colorfastness of cationized sample was generally inferior to that of mordanted samples.
The Clothing Weight of Korean Adults by Month and Season

The purpose of this study was to obtain the basic data on clothing habits for health promotion through the investigation of clothing weight by month and season. Thirty six subjects (18 males and females twenties) were composed to obtain the clothing weight(Total clothing weight) for a year. And then clothing weight was grouped in to four seasons : spring(Mar-May) Summer(Jun-Aug) Fall(Sep-Nov) and Winter(Dec-Feb). The data of males and females were respectively divided into three groups by cluster analysis with clothing weight. 1. The clothing weight of male and female were the heaviest in jan, that of male were smallest in July female in Aug. 2. The clothing weight mean of male(996g/m2) were heavier than that of female(894g/m2) for year. The seasonal clothing weight of male culminated in Winter(1179g/m2) and decreased respectively : Spring (973g/m2) Fall(879g/m2) and summer(559g/m2) The seasonal clothing weight of female culminated in Winter (1068g/m2) and decreased respectively ; Fall(865g/m2) Spring(835g/m2) and summer(479g/m2). The seasonal clothing weight variations were significantly different in each season(p<0.01) but they were insignificantly different between Spring and Fall. middle and light. There was individual differences in the clothing weight especially large in Winter and Spring and small in Summer and Fall. 4. Lower inner clothing weight was the lowest fluctuant all around year upper outer clothing weight was the most fluctuant. So he/she controled upper outer clothing to deal with thermal environment. He/she pretended natural textiles such as cotton and wool to synthetic textiles.
The Study of Consumer's Clothing Discount Store Selection Behavior by Their Price Attitude and Risk Perception

The purpose of this study is examine how price attitude and risk perception affect6 consumer's attitude to clothing discount stores. As for the methods of the research 313 female consumers who just finished shopping at discount stores were interviewed and questioned. The result is as the following. 1. The factors such as discount price inclination effective value inclination price-quality association and price-social grade association in the price attitude as well as social psychological risk and the risk of losing opportunity in the risk perception affected consumer's attitude to clothing discount store. 2. The domestic national brand discount store acquired the highest scores in all factors but discount inclination factor and low price inclination factor. No difference was seen between stores in terms of the risk perception. 3. The determining factors for repurchase intention were found to be store satisfaction and the attitude to clothing discount store. 4. The convenience of transportation the availability of exchange or repair the payment option the quality of the product and the attributes of the store e, g, good quality with relatively low price affected the store satisfaction. 5. Domestic national brand discount store showed higher score in 'good quality with relatively low price' than domestic casual brand discount store did. And difference between groups was found in repurchase intention, Conclusively most consumers using clothing discount stores are effective value-oriented.
The Sense of Touch and Preference of Man-made Leather -Subjective Evaluation-

The purpose of this study is to find out the factors that explain the sense of touch and preference of man-made leather. Date base of descriptors for man-made leather was collected by interviewing 50 consumers, 33 different kinds of commercial man-made leathers(synthetic leather and artificial leather) were assessed subjectively by 605 consumers using the 9-point scale of 34 pairs of bipolar descriptors based on the data base. Subjective ratings were analyzed by principal axis factoring with varimax rota-tion. The sense of touch of man-made leather is explained by five factors ; surface property stretchiness thickness& weight thermal property(warmth & coolness) and moisture property (sticky & clingy). The difference in the sense of touch of man-made leathers is mainly attributable to surface property and stretchiness. And the preference of man-made leathers is mainly attributable to surface property and stretchiness. And the preference of man-made leather is explained by three factors ; surface property stretchiness and quality. Higher preference is found in man-mad leather of better quality touch and softness.
Effect on the Subcutaneous Fat Thickness of the clothing Training in the Cold Condition

This study was intended to investigate the effect on the human body such as subcutaneous fat thickness the circumference of extremities etc. of the clothing training of putting on thin clothes periodically from the cold period. The subjects were divided into the clothing training group and the non-training group, The training group was asked to wear cool clothes in daily life and to wear the training clothes of T-shirts with half-length sleeves and pants and perform the clothing training for two hours daily three times a week in a cold environment over the period from November to February. The non-training group was asked to lead a life wearing comfortable clothes. Then a comparative experiment was conducted at 15
5% R, H and 0.25m/sec before and after the clothing training. After the clothing training regardless of gender subcutaneous fat thickness was more increased and total clothing weight per the surface area of the body was decreased in the training group than the non-training group. The training group showed lower skin temperature in the limbs and lower average skin temperature than the non-training group irrespective of gender which proved the effect of the clothing training. The training group was shown to have attendancy toward a greater sense of warmth and a less sense of discomfort which proved the effect of the clothing training.
Classification of the Somatotype and Characteristics for the Construction of Obese Boy's Clothing(Part 1)

The purpose of this study was to provide basic information for obese boy's clothing construction that can reflect the characteristics of their bodies. The subjects for anthropometric measurements which were performed directly were obese boys of 9 to 11 year-old. To classify the somatotype and to analyze the characteristics of each somatotype 310 obese boys were examined. Data were analyzed by using multivariate method, By means of Ward the subjects were classified into 4 clusters according to the factor scores which were obtained from 6 factors providing the information of 54 items. 4 clusters were identified. 1) Type I was characterized by tall and obese type 2) Type II was characterized by short and small type 3) Type III was characterized by long and obese type of lower body. 4) Type IV was characterized by short and obese type.
The Proposal of a Size-Spec. for Adult Women

Abstract The purpose of this study was to propose a new size-spec. which was applied to four frontal bodytype -X, Y, A and H type-of adult women. Control dimensions of the upper garments were stature bust girth and hip girth. And those of lower garments were waist girth and hip girth. To establish the interval of the control dimensions means and standard deviations were used. By distributing the data of 486 subjects a new size-spec. was proposed. According to the new size-spec. in case of upper garments about 45.7% of subjects were covered by 37 size-speces. and lower garments about 85.9% were covered by 36 The strong point of new size-spec. is to consider the formal feature of each bodytypes. So by trying to apply the new size-spec. to rady-made garments comfort and fitness of those are satisfied.
Preparation and Properties of Electrically Conductive Clothing materials

Highly conductive polyaniline(PAn)-nylon 6 composite fabric was prepared by immersing the nylon 6 fabric in 0.5M aniline+0.35M HCl aqueous solution at 4
for 2hours, Polymerization was then followed by mixing the prepared oxidant and dopant solution(0.5M(NH4)2S2O+0.35M HCl) to the diffusion bath at 5
for 30 minutes. The conductivity of prepared PAn-nylon 6 composite fabrics reached as high as 0.5
10-1S/cm. Their conductivity were significantly affected by the aniline and oxidant concentration. As compared to those of nylon 6 fabric heat of fusion melting point the degree of crystallinity and tensile strength of PAn-nylon 6 did not significantly changed by inclusion of PAn. In the aspect of serviceability wheras the fabric conductivity was significantly decreased after multiple washion no significant changes in the fabric conductivity were observed after abrading the composite fabric over 50 cycles. However we found that the fabric conductivity could be recovered by acid re-doping with HCl.
Development of a Custom Wedding Dress Software

The wedding business in getting specialized and subdivided lately. Due to this current the importance and the necessity of the software for wedding business emerged. So far people who were preparing for their wedding have usually picked up their wedding dress from the pictures on the brochure at the wedding dress shop. But it costs the customers time and money and most of all they can not satisfy their customers with the completed wedding dress sometimes. Moreover customers pay a lot of money for the wedding dress just because they wear the wedding dress once in their whole life. This is unreasonable actually. To solve these problems to help the customers choose their wedding dress that they really like and to provide the wedding dress with good price we developed this software. The purpose of this research is to help people who will marry soon save their time and money in this busy world by showing the shape of the wedding dress before the dress is completed. They can see if the dress goes well with them before it is sewed by seeing the imaginary wedding dress on the computer screen. We are trying to maximize the customer's satisfaction with this research. It is the idea of this research to differentiate this new concept of wedding dress from other existing concepts by grafting this software on companies' accumulated experience in marketing and diffusing this software through the country.

The Role of Clothing Involvement in the Influential Relationship of Sensation Seeking Tendency and Explorary Behavior on Clothing

The purpose of the study were first to propose and determine the influence of sensation seeking tendency on exploratory behavior related to clothing would be mediated by consumer's clothing involvement and second to examine whether sensation seeking tendency is applicable variable on segmenting market expecially using underlying factors of sensation seeking tendency. A questionaire was developed and data were collected from 342 women ranged in age from 0 to 34 years. They were conveniently selected as a proper sample for applying and examining sensation seeking tendency. Arousal seeking tendency scale(Mehrabian & Russel 1974) was selected for operationalizing sensation seeking tendency and exploratory behavior related to clothing. As a result of regression the indirect effect mediated by clothing involvement of sensation seeking tendency on exploratory behavior was larger than the direct one. The influences of factors of sensation-seeking tendency behavior was larger than the direct one. The influences of factors of sensation-seeking tendency were also investigated. The influence of change-seeking tendency and new enviornment seeking tendency was considerably mediated by clothing involvement but that of risk-seeing tendency was not. Artistic sensation seeking tendency had little effect on clothing involvement and exploratory behavior related to clothing.
