A study on the Recognition of Balance Direction in Washing Machine using Machine Vision System

When washing machine is rotated in the laundry, it tends to lean toward one side. This tendency causes a serious vibration. The balance of washing machine plays an important role in order to reduce the vibration by injecting the sand or the salt water into the balance of washing machine. The hot plate welder is used to prevent from outflow of contents. The hot plate welder brings about many problems which is concerned with accidents. The direction recognition and location information of the balance are required in this system. In this paper, the recognition direction of balance in washing machine using machine vision system is studied. The template matching algorithm compares sub-image with original image acquired in real-time to obtain a center point of balance image. The mid points and the edges of balance are estimated by the edge detection and gauging algorithms. The data acquired by these results is used for recognition direction of balance. The automation software for image processing is developed by using LabVIEW.
Development of End-milling Inspection System Using 450㎸p Tube Voltage

Transillumination system used by radiation is widely applied to industrial imaging system. In this study, the linear detector array constructed with scintillator and pin diode, and a multi-channel data acquisition system was developed for precision inspection of end-milling. The detector module consists of 16-
crystal scintillator and photodiode array. The detector and data acquisition system was applied to precision inspection of end-mill and the images of the end-mill were successfully reconstructed. The total system can analyze the Detector Quantum Efficiency(DQE) of each system. The performance of developed photodiodes equipment was compared with each other for different crystal geometry and its characteristics. Finally fine details of the end-mill phantom were constructed for industrial application. The image acquired contains several objects on a real time data transfer and the linear X-ray scanning system can be applied to many fields of a industry.
A Study on the Optimization of Servo System Originating to High-Speed Fixed Duty Processing

The most dominate aspect in machine works using CNC devices in industrial production processes is the precision of the product and the Cycle Time. To this day, many studies on the external factors of the technology to reduce the Cycle Time have advanced amid to the advancements in cam soft development for manual programs and the numerous studies on high speed and precision machining. This study experimented various functions of the sequence pattern flow and arranged system development technologies of past few years to develop and applicate various usage of adjustment factors within the CNC, so it would be more understandable to the user and would enable them to make high speed and precision products more faster develop and. In order to reduce the Cycle Time, the mechanism of machine tools has to be analysed and applied, in addition to program reduction and improvement of the manufacture process.
Defect Inspection of the Pixels in OLED Type Display Device by Image Processing

The image processing methods are widely used in many industrial fields to detect defections in inspection devices. In this study an image processing method was conducted for the detection of abnormal pixels in a OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode) type panel which is used for small size displays. The display quality of an OLED device is dependent on the pixel formation quality. So, among the so many pixels, to find out the faulty pixels is very important task in manufacturing processing or inspection division. We used a line scanning type BW(Black & White) camera which has very high resolution characteristics to acquire an image of display pixel patterns. And the various faulty cases in pixel abnormal patterns are considered to detect abnormal pixels. From the results of the research, the normal BW pixel image could be restored to its original color pixel.
The Effect of Gear Contact Stiffnesses on the Vibration of Torsional Geared Systems for a Mill Turret

This paper describes mathematical models of the torsional geared driving system for the indexing path and the mill driving path in a mill turret. The eigenvalue analysis for the models is conducted both with and without the gear contact stiffnesses. The natural frequency leads to the effect of gear contact stiffnesses on the vibration of torsional geared systems in a mill turret. It is necessary to analyze eigenvalues of the complex geared torsional system in order to prevent the unexpected vibrations.
Stress Analysis of Automotive Tire at Contact on Road Surface

This study is analyzed by stress contour of automotive tire at contact on road surface. Maximum equivalent stress as 61200Pa is shown on the lower mid part in case of tire contacted on road surface. As the air pressure of tire increases, maximum total deformation as 5mm is shown on the side part of tire. It can be shown that the side part of tire is unstabilized. There is no load effect on tire at its upper and lower directions. When the moment applied on the side of tire is increased 1.4 times as its value, the value of maximum principal stress is increased 1.4 times. The stress at the tire is in proportion to the moment applied on the its side. The tire tends to incline toward its side by this moment.
A Study on the Development of Multi Facet Drills and Evaluation of Performance

Drilling operation is such an important machining process, which has been wildly applied to the industry, occupied over 30% of whole industry. However, there are many aspects of drilling process should be improved, such as increases of thrust force, surface roughness, and roundness, ect. In this study, we are aiming to reduce the thrust force, surface roughness, and roundness in drilling process. For this purpose, multi facet drills (MFD) of three types that are modified from standard drill (STD) are developed. The first type is multi stair drill (MSD) with shape of stair on relief plane. The second type is rough facet drill (RFD) with shape of round on relief plane. The third type is rough flute drill (RFLD) with shape of round on flute plane. For three types of MFD, we were carried out performance evaluation from the perspective of thrust force, surface roughness and roundness of machined hole. From obtained result, we could confirmed that performance of rough flute drill (RFLD) type is most excellent.
Development of Asymmetric Plastic Fan Product

The analysis of injection molding process by CAE is widely used in development of plastic products. That comes from the fact that CAE analysis can reduce trial and error based on optimized design. On this study, by use of MOLDFLOW, the causes of product defects were found and solved by trade-off study. CAE analysis includes Flow-Cool-Warpage Analyses and finally a new mold-die design with better product quality was suggested. On injection molding of round-shaped plastic fan, new mold-die system with 4-tunnel gates located on the edge of a fan disc shows better quality rather than pin-point gate located on the center of a disc. That was effective in terms of flow mark removal and flatness improvement of the product.
Design of Stamping Die for Inner Reinforcement Panel of Automotive

The objective of this paper is to design stamping die of inner reinforcement panel with DL 950 advanced high strength steel as stamping materials through numerical analyses and experiments. The stamping process was designed as bending dominant process consisting of 1 step of notching and 4 steps of bending processes. In order to obtain a proper design of the stamping die, various three-dimensional elasto-plastic finite element analyses were performed using a commercial code AUTOFORM V4.2. Design parameter of stamping die was chosen as the corner radius of the stamping die for each step. From the results of the FE analysis, feasible corner radii of the stamping die, which can minimize the deviation of corner angle of the stamped part from design data, and forming load for each part were estimated. Stamping experiments were carried out using the manufactured stamping die according to the proposed die design. The results of experiments were shown that the stamping die can successfully manufacture the inner reinforcement panel with DL 950 advanced high strength steel as base stamping material.
Impact Analysis According to Material of Hand Phone

This study is analyzed by impact simulation according to material property at terminal case of hand phone. Maximum equivalent stress or strain at plastic is 40 times as great as that at magnesium alloy. And the next greatest stress or strain is shown at aluminium alloy. The value of maximum equivalent stress is shown as 6.5 Mpa in case of plastic, magnesium alloy and aluminium alloy. Maximum shear strain at plastic is 40 times as great as that at magnesium alloy. And the next greatest strain is shown at aluminium alloy. The value of deformation or strain at magnesium alloy and aluminium alloy is not different.

In this papers, Study on the Bonding property and Strength Evaluation in Bonding interface Joints of Dissimilar material using DOE. We found optimal condition that uses experimental design method (Response Surface Analysis, DOE) used temperature, pressure, time on experiment factor. And we could get bonding condition and strength that break and crack do not happen in mechanical processing about united dissimilar material. And progress 3 point bending tests and verified result.
Flow Control of a Solenoid Gas Injector and Its Application on a Natural Gas Engine

An air-fuel ratio control is essential in reducing hazardous exhaust emissions from a compressed natural gas(CNG) engine, and can be accomplished by accurate control of gas injection flow. In this study, theoretical research was conducted on injection characteristics of a solenoid gas injector, and injection experiments for calibration and analysis were performed. Various factors for gas injection flow such as injection pressure, gas temperature, and supply voltage are studied. A dynamic flow equation of the natural gas was proposed on the basis of flow dynamics theories and results of the injection experiment. The verification of the dynamic flow equation of the solenoid injector was carried out with a large CNG-engine applied to an urban bus. Air-fuel ratio control experiments were conducted in both steady and transient state. Results of injection experiments for the solenoid injector and the CNG-engine was proved the control method proposed herein to be effective.
Development of a new Li-Ion Pack-Battery for improving the electrical properties

This paper presents a new lithium ion unit-cell and pack battery by using a new formulation ratio of material. The three types of formulation ratio for the unit-cell were used. The life cycle and basic properties of the lithium ion unit-cell(
65mm)) about one of them were acquired by the charge-discharge experiment. The nominal voltage, nominal capacity and cycle life output of the lithium ion unit-cell is respectively 3.7V, 2.4Ah, and above 500cycle. Pack type lithium ion battery has the size of 29.5
115(mm) and the weight of 300g. As the results, the weight and bulk of lithium ion battery used to a safety lamp were decreased to 1/4 and 1/7. In addition, the comparison of the new lithium ion battery and lead storge battery for confirming the effectiveness of the new lithium ion battery have been performed.
