Machining Characteristics of Nickel-Chrome Alloy according to Changing with Ultra High-Speed RPM

According to the high demand of hybrid components, the hybrid materials development and processing technology were increased in the industry field. Although hybrid materials have various machining technologies, the research about them has rarely been proceed. This study is to carry out results about design technology of miniaturized high-speed air spindle and machining characteristics or hybrid materials using that. We studied machining characteristics in Nickel-Chrome alloy(Ni-Cr) according to change rotating speed using miniaturized high-speed air spindle. As the following results, the change of surface shape and roughness was investigated as the processing conditions such as rotating speed of miniaturized high-speed air spindle.
Development of Heat Control Valve Using SMA and Remote Controller for House Heating System

For the purpose of reducing the energy consumption in the house heating, the various devices have been developed. One of these is to control the flow in the heat pipe and the flow control valve using shape memory alloy(SMA) spring is proposed in our study. The proposed house heating system is to save the gas consumption and the remote control system is designed for the convenience of using the proposed valve. The developed valve consists of SMA spring, disk, return spring, and regulation handle. The regulation handle is remote control system, the Zigbee wireless communication protocol is used. The performance of the proposed valve structure is shown through the experimental result.
A Study of the Linear Analysis for Nonlinear Torsional System

The characteristics of the torsional systems are generally examined with the nonlinearities such as the several staged clutch damper springs, gear backlashes and drag torques. Generally speaking, the system's characteristics can be found out by the eigensolutions which can show the system natural frequencies and the mode shapes. However, these factors can not give the complete solutions to avoid the noise and vibration problems related to the nonlinear effects. Therefore, several assumptions should be made for solving the real physical system problems under the linear analysis which can reflect the nonlinear effects in the torsional system. This means that the several modified linear factors such as the modified clutch damper spring constants can be used to examine and avoid the natural frequency zones related to the noise and vibration problems. Under the linear analysis with the assumed and modified values, the system can be investigated with the more reliable ways for the realistic phenomena.
Vibration Characteristic Analysis Of Gimbal Structure in Collection Equipment of Image Information

A camera module is supported by a gimbal structure in collection equipment of image information. During flight, the gimbal system undergoes serious accelerations -with wide frequencies. To get the correct images, the camera module must be stably vibrated under these conditions. If natural frequency unfortunately exists in a exciting frequency range, resonance occurs there. Hence, harmonic responses analysis is needed to know correct vibration characteristic of the gimbal system. Finite element analysis was performed to get an acceleration of the gimbal system by mode superposition after extracting mode shapes and natural frequencies. Considering damping ratio of 2%, the reponses of gimbal structure were calculated from excitations with a design frequency band. As results, a maximum acceleration transmissibility, which is the ratio of response to excitation, was obtained and it can be used to design the gimbal structure effectively.
Processing Characteristics of Grinding & Polishing for Si Cathode Development

This paper reports some experimental result in grinding and polishing of silicon cathodes used in semiconductor manufacturing process. Cup shape diamond core wheels were used in experiments and the radial and tangential grinding forces were measured with surface roughness. In polishing experiments, flat type and donut type wool polishing tools were tested. The experimental results indicate that the grinding forces are proportional to the material removal rates and the surface roughness are inversely proportional to the spindle speed. The surface roughness of polished Si decreases with polishing time and higher spindle speed.
Structural Analysis on Door Hinge of Car

The thickness of original hinge model is changed for structural stability in this study. The front end with the largest deformation of 9.8813 mm or the rear middle part with the largest equivalent stress of 6082.6 MPa is respectively shown at door hinge. The lower part of joint pin head with the largest deformation of 0.17499 mm and the largest equivalent stress of 1540.2 MPa are shown. The advanced model with more thickness and stability is shown to have smaller displacement in half and smaller equivalent stress by 3 times by comparing with the original model.
A Study on the Friction and Wear Characteristics of TiAlN+WC/C Multilayer Coating of SCM415 Steel

The purpose of this study is to show the friction and wear characteristics on the vapor deposited coating layers on the SCM415 steel. In this research, frictional wear characteristic of coating materials such as TiAlN+WC/C Multilayer Coating was investigated under room temperature, normal air pressure and nothing lubricating condition. Therefore this study carried out research on the friction coefficient, micro hardness(Hv), roughness, EPMA on the vapor deposited coating layers on the SCM415 steel. As the wear experimental result, the coefficient of friction decreased according to experimental load increases.
Optimal Welding condition in Ultrasonic Welding of Ni steel sheet

Miniaturization and lightweight are increasingly the recent trend in the manufacture of electric appliances and machine parts. So technology of micro joining for joining materials is indispensable. This paper gives a description of an experimental study of the ultrasonic welding of metals. In ultrasonic metal welding, high frequency vibrations are combined with pressure to join two materials together quickly and securely, without producing significant amount of heat. Ultrasonic metal welder consists of Transducer, Booster, and Horn that are designed very accurately to get the natural frequencies and vibration mode In this study, The horn was designed and analyzed the natural frequency by the modal analysis and harmonic analysis. And using a fiber optic sensor, we measured the amplitude and analyzed the Fast Fourier Transformed result. Using the horn, Ultrasonic metal welding between Ni sheet and Ni sheet of 0.1mm thickness was accomplished under the optimal conditions of static pressure 0.15MPa, vibration amplitude 45% and welding time of 0.28s. This result can be used for ultrasonic metal welding in manufacturing industry.
Structural Strength Analysis of Shock Absorber

Stress analysis and fatigue life on shock absorber are investigated in this study. The lower part of spring is shown with the maximum equivalent stress and displacement of 153.49MPa and 26.151mm. The rear part is also shown with the number of fatigue life less than
. And the middle part of spring is shown with the minimum safety factor of 0.94592. The designed modeling suspension in this study has no possibility with resonance. As the result of this study is applied by the chassis of automobile, the prevention on fatigue fracture and the durability is predicted.
Injection Molding Analysis of the Tub-drum for Drum Type Washer Using CAE

Injection molding process is one of the popular manufacturing methods to produce plastic parts with high efficiency and low cost. The tub-drum for drum type washer is made by an insert injection molding process with aluminum alloy insert of "Windmill type and has a big and complex structure consisted of many ribs to sustain the strength. In this paper, the volumetric shrinkages of rib part and bottom part surrounded by a windmill type insert are analyzed according to the vertical and circumferential direction of tub-drum. Volumetric shrinkage and its difference according to the height or radius of tub drum inform the designer to reduce the warpage of tub drum, and the optimal design of tub drum can be done from the those results. The change of volumetric shrinkage according to packing pressure is also analyzed. It is very important to analyze the volumetric shrinkage of tub drum because it generates the wearing phenomena at the rotating part connected to an aluminum alloy insert due to the warpage of tub drum.
A Study of Bridge Connector Development on Wiring Harness Improvement in Vehicles

Recently a large number of electronic control devices are abruptly increasing in vehicles as the electronic industry advances. Also the number of wiring harnesses and complexity of wiring is proportiona11y increased to the devices. A newly developed connector named bridge connector is introduced in this study for the purpose of the wiring structure changes. A wiring structure among distributed control systems by using serial communication is proposed with the bridge connector in this paper. The bridge connector contains a auto-recovery fuse made by PTC thermistor material for the protection of the over-currents on local control devices. The auto-recovery function of the fuse is needed for the maintenance free system in the distributed controls. The PTC fuse characteristics organized in this study is tested and the results are showed in detail for the real application.
