Preliminary Results of Surveillance Data Processing for Design of Prototype ADS-B/TIS-B Validation Testbed

In this paper, preliminary results for design of prototype ADS-ADS-B/TIS-B Validation Testbed (AVT) are described. Automatic Dependent Surveillance (ADS-B) is a novel surveillance concept using the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and a digital datalink. Air traffic information from ADS-B non-equipped aircraft is not acquired since ADS-B is a dependent surveillance. Traffic Information Service-Broadcast (TIS-B) provides surveillance data from Secondary surveillance Radar (SSR) for ADS-B non-equipped aircraft. AVT is based on ADS-B and TIS-B as an integrated platform for air traffic surveillance system for CNS/ATM.
A Study of Store & Management of Airborne LiDAR Data

While in the past map-making process by field survey devices such as MicroStation needs more time relatively, we can make more precise map effectively with airbone LiDAR and GPS devices. Also the data, captured by LiDAR, are very large in size and so it needs to use Relational DBMS to manage and process LiDAR data. In this study we propose how to store and manage LiDAR data using RDBMS.

In this paper, we show that the SIDMA(Self-organized Time Division Multiple Access) protocol using aviation surveillance data link now, designs to the ICAO DO 9816 documentation sequence. This protocol makes use of the VDL(VHF Data Link) Mode 4 and UAT(Universal Access Transceiver) system's MAC(Media Access Control) layer. We make sure of the simulation result and implementation of STDMA protocol program in accompany with the ICAO documentation sequence. This program operates the slot allocation and reservation with report rate when protocol transmits data and calculates slot address.
Realization of Aircraft Takeoff Systems Based on Voice Instructions

In this paper, we propose a voice instruction-based takeoff system for aircraft including unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The system consists of voice recognition (VR), flight state checking and instruction (command) execution. Employing VR technology, the proposed takeoff system can provide simplified and more reliable takeoff procedures to pilots. By virtue of the VR-based system it is expected that human errors during takeoff phase can be reduced and further navigation safety can be improved.
A Study on the Implementation Scenarios of GNSS Augmentation System for Korean Airspace

According to the ICAO's Global Air Navigation Plan for CNS/ATM - Communications, Navigation, and Surveillance - systems, employing digital technologies, including satellite systems together with various levels of automation, are to be applied in support of a seamless global air traffic management system. For the future navigation, the focus of future implementation efforts can be placed entirely on an expected gradual migration toward GNSS-based navigation, Korea has been considered various options for airspace GNSS augmentation system: GBAS, SBAS and GRAS. This paper discusses current status and future trend of GNSS airspace navigation systems, and presents the results of possible augmentation options and scenarios to analyze system availabilities which could lead to the conclusion of the best program for Korea. The results showed that Korea could have sufficient availabilities from en-route to CAT-I approach with ABAS and GBAS. The study was in cooperated with MITRE, an American research company.

And the performance of SDR(Software Defined Radio) embodied using MATLAB tool is analyzed. Embodied SDR is modulated according to their roll and function.

U-AD using Mobile RFID is service of new concept. It will be able to provide a service to the user by reading Tag information which is attach in the CDs, the books and medical supply etc. with cellular phone equipped with RFID device which is available for reading RFID tags. Applies like this service and when reacting Tag with RFID Readers of the cellular phone, the advertisement contents which is not the possibility of seeing fragmentarily in the outside develops the service which is the possibility with the cellular phone of seeing at real-time with aim. U-AD using Mobile RAD detail shows product information by cell phone, user exactly knows desire product and looks forward purchasing efficiently. Also advertiser benefit from U-AD using Mobile RFID since advertises effects of product sufficiently are increased. And then it expands demand on product.
Performance Analysis of Mobile IP Network Based on MPLS/WLAN for providing QoS

With the established voice service, the data service is increasing in the field of mobile telecommunications in these days. Also, the data service develops into the form of multimedia service which combines various media. However, it is limited to provide QoS(Quality of Service) for the multimedia using the established network which manages all the data in sam: rule. So, this paper suggests the network architecture which assures QoS of multimedia data by applying MPLS(Multi-Protocol Label Switching) to the core network. Especially, we analyze the efficiency of the network combining Mobile IP network based on the WLAN(Wireless LAN) and core network based on MPLS through by network simulations using QualNet.
Transmit Scheme Study for OFDM Based Fixed Relay System with Hierarchical Modulation

Relay system is a promising technique for the high downlink throughput or coverage extension in the next generation wireless systems. In this paper, the transmit scheme for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) based relay system with hierarchical modulation is designed. Without using much power from the base station, the proposed scheme can guarantee the cell edge users to get high data rates as the inner cell users. In the simulation, the performance of proposed scheme was compared with the conventional one in which there is no hierarchical modulation. Numerical results show that the proposed scheme can save much power whether the unicast case or multicast case.
A High Linear And Low Noise COMOS RF Front-End For 2.4GHz ZigBee Applications

A 2.4 GHz CMOS RF front-end using for ZigBee application is described The front-end consists of a low noise amplifier and a down-mixer and uses a 2 MHz IF frequency. A common source with resistive feedback and an inductive degeneration are adopted for a low noise amplifier, and a 20 dB gain control step is digitally controlled. A passive mixer for low current consumption is employed. The RF front-end is implemented in 0.18
IP6M CMOS process. The measured performance is 4.44 dB NF and -6.5 dBm IIP3 while consuming 3.28 mA current from a 1.8 V supply.

In this paper the USN technique based on the disaster prevention communication technology service and its requirement technology and application are studied.
Performance Analysis of the Cooperative Localization Algorithm with Virtual Reference Nodes in Wireless Sensor Networks

In this paper, we proposed a RSS based cooperative localization algorithm using VRN for wireless sensor networks, which can estimate the BN position. The proposed localization system monitoring all nodes estimates a position of BN, and calculates an intersection area with cooperative localization. From the results, we confirm that BN intersection area is reduced as the number of RN is increased. In addition, the fewer RN exists, the more iteration needs at least 4 times. Moreover, the propose algorithm using 4 RNs is improved 71.6% estimation performance than conventional method. Therefore, the cooperative localization algorithm with VRN provides higher localization accuracy than RSS based conventional method.
Collision Avoidance Method Based-on Directional Antenna in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks

In the case of traffic accidents, the broadcasting methods used in the mobile ad hoc network (MANET) cannot applied to transmit reliable message since moving high-speed in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET) environments. In this paper, in order to guarantee transmitting reliable messages, we propose a collision avoidance method based-on directional antenna in VANET. In order to reduce interference from omni-broadcasting and to avoid hidden node problem from moving high-speed, we employed a forward-handed and backward directional antenna. The authors simulated the proposed method based on directional antenna and showed that the proposed method has been improved in respect to network utilization compared to existing VANET protocols.
Performance Evaluation of Wireless Network based on Mobile Multi-hop

In mobile communication networks, the main power consumption is due to the actual transmissions power. Therefore, power efficiency network structures have gained considerable importance in mobile multi-hop systems and networks in recent years. In this paper, the performance of mobile multi-hop wireless system with M-QAM signal and forward error control (FEC) technique are analyzed The FEC technique uses extra processing power related to encoding and decoding, it is need complex functions to be built into the communication node. The probability of receiving a correct bit and codeword for relaying a data frame over h hop relay station to the final station is evaluated as a function of channel parameter and number of hops, and the distance between the different station.
Implementation of 3D Information Acquisition Device for Wearable U-Health

In progress to ubiquitous intelligent society, there are emerging technologies such smart wear related researches as wearable computer, smart fiber and smart fashion. In this paper, wearable 3D information acquisition device which improved both advanced in convenience and portable is implemented. 3D information input system is basically grouped of some modules; Gyro sensor for acquisition of 3D space coordinate, RF transmitter/receiver, and signal processing module etc. To testify the validity of designed system, some experiments are performed using lest board with respect to the communication distance, easiness of wearable and operation sensibility.

Recently, as the ship has undergone a development for smart ship or digital ship. PLC is communication system using the preexistence power line and using PLC as transmission medium to monitoring of equipments is an efficient way to design a system for ship. In this paper, we design and implement RFID monitoring system based on PLC for ship. This proposed system can support monitoring the moving of passenger, crew and important cargo by RHO tag data on shipboard.
A study on change in electric contact resistance of the tin-plated copper connector of automotive sensor due micro-vibration

The automotive environment is particularly demanding on connector performance, and is characterized by large temperature changes, high humidity and corrosive atmospheres. Fretting is a contact damage process that occurs between two contact surfaces. Fretting corrosion refers to corrosion damage at the asperities of contact surfaces. This damage is induced under load and in the presence of repeated relative surface motion, as induced for example by vibration. This paper critically reviews the works published previously on fretting corrosion of electrical connectors. Various experimental approaches such as testing machines, material selection, testing environments, acceleration testing techniques and preventing methods are addressed. Future research prospects arc suggested.

We demonstrate experimentally that the method of Two-pupil optical scanning technique with PAL-spatial light modulator is capable of performing real-time joint transform correlation(JTC) optical system. Optical addressing is achieved by the use of a photosensitive layer of
- Si which controls the electric field across the liquid crystal The demonstrated technique is based on two-pupil optical heterodyne scanning. The method is independent of a spatial light modulator (SLM) in the Fourier plane. We develop the theory of the technique and evaluate a performance of the method by experimentally estimating the correlation between the target image and the reference image.
Late Comer and Error Recovery Process for Home Network Environment with Session Management

This paper explains late comer and error recovery process for home network environment with session management. This system consists of an ED, ES, and ER. ED is an agent that detects an error by hooking techniques for multimedia distance education based on home network environment with session management. ES is an agent that is an error sharing system for multimedia distance education based on home network environment with session management. ER is a system that is suitable for recovering software error for multimedia distance education based on home network environment with session management. This paper explains a performance analysis of an error recovery system running on distributed multimedia environment using the rule-based DEVS modeling and simulation techniques. The proposed method is more efficient than the other method in comparison with error ration and processing time.

A Study on the Operational Reliability of Dedicated Software

The software reliability have to be improved as one major method to enhance the quality of developed software, and its defect is detected and modified through testing as a direct way to meet the purpose before releasing. Once its reliability grows up to the target and it is released to public. there may be operational reliability problem. The operational software reliability trend may be different depending on the condition whether it is universal or dedicated. And its reliability estimation is changed based on the condition if it follows uniform testing efforts or Weibull testing efforts. I study the operational reliability trend of dedicated software, applying two case testing efforts for the released item.
Face Detection and Recognition for Video Retrieval

We present a novel method for face detection and recognition methods applicable to video retrieval. The person matching efficiency largely depends on how robustly faces are detected in the video frames. Face regions are detected in video frames using viola-jones features boosted with the Adaboost algorithm After face detection, PCA (Principal Component Analysis) follows illumination compensation to extract features that are classified by SVM (Support Vector Machine) for person identification. Experimental result shows that the matching efficiency of the ensembled architecture is quit satisfactory.
