Vehicle Displacement Estimation By GPS and Vision Sensor

It is well known that GPS cannot provide positioning results if sufficient number of visible satellites are not available. To overcome this weak point, attentions have been recently moved to hybrid positioning methods that augments GPS with other sensors. As an extension of hybrid positiong methods, this paper proposes a new method that combines GPS and vision sensor to improve availability and accuracy of land vehicle positioning. The proposed method does not require any external map information and can provide position solutions if more than 2 navigation satellites are visible. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, an experiment result with real measurements is provided and a result shows that accumulated error of n-axis is almost 2.5meters and that of e-axis is almost 3meters in test section.
EVM Based SNR Estimation Performance in Cross QAM Using Selected Constellation Points

In this paper, we investigate the signal to noise ratio (SNR) estimation performance of Cross quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), which is being used for asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL), very high bit rate digital subscriber line (VDSL), and digital video broadcasting - cable (DVB-C), and has been found to be useful in adaptive modulation and blind equalization. At first, the symbol error rate (SER) performance of Cross QAM is analyzed in Rayleigh fading channel. Then we suggest error vector magnitude (EVM) based SNR estimation utilizing the selected constellation points having different types of decision region from one another, and verify that SNR estimation performance of each points have different performance pattern through simulation. From the simulation results, it has been found that when suggested selected constellation points are used for SNR estimation in Cross QAM, estimation performance is enhanced in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel or Ricean fading channel.
Triplexer based on Filter Characteristics of CRLH Transmission Line and Triple-Band Amplifier Applications

In this paper, we proposed the triplexer using unit-cell of CRLH transmission line which has a bandpass characteristic to reduce adjacent channel interference. The input impedance of triplexer with each channel filter is operated open-circuit at the resonance frequencies of other channels. Such property is due to the combination a series and parallel resonance circuits of CRLH-TL unit-cell. The measured triplexer results are showed a measured insertion loss of each channel, less than 1.5 dB, matching at each port, less than 15dB and isolation between channel, better than 25 dB. Also, to validate the triplexer, a small signal amplifier with triple-band is designed and tested. the measured amplifier results show good agreements with prediction.

Optimal net residual dispersion (NRD) and effective launching power range of optical transmission links with optical phase conjugator (OPC) and dispersion management (DM) for compensating the distorted wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) signals due to interaction of group velocity dispersion (GVD) and optical nonlinear effects. WDM systems considered in this research have optical links with the random distribution of residual dispersion per span (RDPS) in each single mode fiber (SMF) spans of only one half transmission section for designing the adaptive optical transmission system configurations. It is confirmed that optimal NRD is 10 ps/nm and effective launching power range is obtained to be -8~1 dBm under NRD

This study is to develop a smart weather watching system which allows us to carry out temperature measuring without regard to location and altitude using the sensor devices. this system is composed of the wireless receiver module(PC base) and the wireless measuring module(ATmega2560 base).
Similarity-based Caching Replacement Loss Minimization in Wireless Mobile Proxy Systems

The loss due to caching replacement in the wireless mobile proxy caching structure has a significant effect on streaming QoS. This paper proposes a similarity-based caching loss minimization (SCLM) for minimizing the loss caused by the caching replacement. The proposed scheme divides object segments, and then it performs the similarity relation about them. Segments that perform the similarity relation generates similarity relation tree (SRT). The similarity is an important metric for deciding a relevance feedback, and segments that satisfy these requirements in the cache block for caching replacement. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme has better performance than the existing prefix caching scheme, segment-based caching scheme, and bi-directional proxy scheme in terms of QoS, average delayed startup ratio, cache throughput, and cache response ratio.
Profit-based Segment Caching for Wireless Streaming QoS

This paper proposes a new profit popularity-based segment caching control mechanism for assuring a consecutive streaming QoS (Quality of Service) in the wireless channel. Then, the proposed mechanism operates SSCP (Single Segment Caching Profit) and MSCP (Multiple Segment Caching Profit) for assuring a QoS. SSCP and MSCP is to optimize the cache performance when is performed the streaming in the proxy. The proposed mechanism simulated to evaluate such mechanisms as fixed-partition mechanism, weight-based mechanism, SSCP, and MSCP. Simulation results show that the proposed mechanism has superior performance compared to other mechanisms.
Distributed Subchannel ON/OFF Scheduling by using Load Distribution for Cellular Femto Systems

In cellular femto systems, femto Base stations(f-BSs) can be installed unnecessarily and overcrowded in small areas. This will cause an interference problem and it can impact on the capacity, blocking probability, and coverage of femtocells in the shared channel systems. In this paper, we propose a load distribution scheme by using forced handover and probabilistic subchannel scheduling policy to resolve the problem. The proposed scheme operates in distributed manner though communication with neighboring f-BSs, and includes self-detection of overcrowded area and radio resource management based on measurements. We evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme in terms of average cell throughput and average throughput per users.
Design and Implementation of adaptive traffic signal simulator system for U-Traffic

In Busan, the structural limitations of the road, is causing severe traffic congestion and low speed of the vehicle. So the existing traffic control system needs improvements to its structure. A study on Optimal Traffic Signal System and Improvement for User Oriented Public Transit Service are required. U-city is a city or region with ubiquitous information technology. All information systems are linked, and virtually everything is linked to an information technologies. U-Traffic goal is to maximize of traffic information services based on advanced information technology to integrate of transportation infrastructure. The objectives of this research are : a vehicle detection method through a variety of sensors, an algorithm of the traffic signal system, a design and implementation a simulator to compare between the fixed traffic signal and adaptive traffic signal system. This simulator will have allowed analysis techniques for the study of traffic control. Results of simulator test shows that traffic congestion can be some reduce.
A New Analysis Method for Packed Malicious Codes

This paper classifies the self-defense techniques used by the malicious software based on their approaches, introduces the packing technique as one of the code protection methods and proposes a way to quickly analyze the packed malicious codes. Packing technique hides a malicious code and restore it at runtime. To analyze a packed code, it is initially required to find the entry point after restoration. To find the entry point, it has been used reversing the packing routine in which a jump instruction branches to the entry point. However, the reversing takes too much time because the packing routine is usually obfuscated. Instead of reversing the routine, this paper proposes an idea to search some features of the startup code in the standard library used to generate the malicious code. Through an implementation and a consequent empirical study, it is proved that the proposed approach is able to analyze malicious codes faster.

As modern society rapidly changes, the field of education has also developed speedily. Since Edunet system developed in 1996, many different systems are developing continuously such as Center for Teaching and Learning, cyber home learning systems, diagnosis prescribing systems, video systems, teaching and counseling, and study management systems. However, the aforementioned systems have had not great response from the educational consumers due to a lack of interconnection. There are several reasons for it. One of the reasons is that program administrators did not carefully consider the continuity of each programs but established a brand new system whenever they need rather than predict or consider the future needs. The suitable system for smart education should be one big integrated system based on many different data analysis and processing. The system should also supply educational consumers various and useful information by adopting the idea of bigdata rather than a single sign on system connecting each independent system. The cloud computing system should be established as a system that can be managed not as simple compiled files and application programs but as various contents and DATA.
The Study to Interchangeable DRM in IPTV Environment

Multiple CAS (Conditional Access System) could be safely downloaded and implemented in IPTV environment. Domestic standard of iCAS (Interchangeable CAS) which is providing device compatibility and mobility, can only defines CAS replacement for protecting Real-Time Streaming broadcast. CAS, however has limitations in IPTV`s two-way communication environment where it needs to fulfill contents protection requirements of various broadcasting service. In order to supplement the limit of CAS, DRM protection technology should be required. Contents for real time broadcasting service or real time VOD service could be protected by CAS technology whereas services such as PVR, download VOD service or downloaded contents sharing could be protected by DRM technology. Therefore, a flexible IPTV device service environment could be constructed by mutual protection of CAS and DRM. This essay is going to research on the method of applying DRM based on iCAS standard, as well as proposing a system configuration applied with iCAS/DRM in commercialization.
Differential Fault Analysis on Block Cipher Piccolo-80

Piccolo-80 is a 64-bit ultra-light block cipher suitable for the constrained environments such as wireless sensor network environments. In this paper, we propose a differential fault analysis on Piccolo-80. Based on a random byte fault model, our attack can the secret key of Piccolo-80 by using the exhaustive search of
and six random byte fault injections on average. It can be simulated on a general PC within a few seconds. This result is the first known side-channel attack result on Piccolo-80.
A Study on the MTF of optical system with optical path difference

The modulation transfer function is generally used as a method to estimate the characteristics of this kind of optical system because it cannot reappear or implement image of the object perfect. By the way, it is difficult to assess the optical system with existing MTF method since the reaction between diffraction and aberration of aperture is very complicate if the aberration is very small. The MTF has to be calculated considering the numerical aperture, defocusing, OPD and phase difference. We validate its feasibility using bessel function as an estimating method, and then realize it through illustration in this paper.

Digital signage in airport is used to provide the flight and airport information to the airport passenger. However, the current digital signage displays one type of contents to all of the airport customers without considering the type of the customer. Thus, the digital signage suffer from the inefficiency problem resulting in lower customer satisfaction. This problem can be solved if we adopt a smart digital signage which can recognize the type of the customer and provide the tailored contents. In this study, we report a smart digital signage using age recognition. Our smart digital signage can recognize the age of the customer in real-time, and provide the tailored contents to the customer. The smart digital signage can improve the airport customer satisfaction and the airport work efficiency by providing the information that is needed by the airport customers.

Digital signage provides flight and airport information to the airport visitors and passengers. However, the digital signage has efficiency problem by displaying one type of advertisement to every customers regardless of their personality. We may solvel the inefficiency problem by using a smart digital signage which can recognize the characteristics of the customer We presents a smart digital signage with sex recognition function. The smart digital signage can recognize the sex of the customer to display the custom-made advertisement in realtime so that we can increase the satisfaction level of the airport passengers and visitors.
Human Body Tracking and Pose Estimation Using CamShift Based on Kalman Filter and Weighted Search Windows

In this paper, we propose Modified Multi CAMShift Algorithm based on Kalman filter and Weighted Search Windows(KWMCAMShift) that extracts skin color area and tracks several human body parts for real-time human tracking system. We propose modified CAMShift algorithm that generates background model, extracts skin area of hands and head, and tracks the body parts. Kalman filter stabilizes tracking search window of skin area due to changing skin area in consecutive frames. Each occlusion areas is avoided by using weighted window of non-search areas and main-search area. And shadows are eliminated from background model and intensity of shadow. The proposed KWMCAMShift algorithm can estimate human pose in real-time and achieves 96.82% accuracy even in the case of occlusions.
A study on the Effect of Air Service Relationship Benefits on Long-term Orientation

The study has focused on relationship benefits provided for customers in terms of relationship marketing and empirically analyzed the influence of components of relationship benefits in air service. Those components are, for example, social, psychological, economic and special treatment benefits on long-term orientation of relationship. Also, ultimately, this study aims to suggest marketing strategies and relevant implications for airlines. In conclusion, psychological and special treatment benefits were found to have influence on long-term orientation of relationship.
