Automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) is the core technology of communication, navigation and surveillance/air traffic management (CNS/ATM), automatically broadcasts its own position information using GNSS and has an advantage of lower geological constraints and faster update speed compared with legacy radar systems. EUROCONTROL defined all purpose structured eurocontrol surveillance information exchange (ASTERIX) CAT.021. ASTERIX CAT.021 is modified several times, but it has compatibility issues with previous version of it. In this paper, we have designed an efficient message processing module regardless of the version of ASTERIX CAT.021. This implemented module generates patterns to collect messages received from the network, after that, received messages are processed in the routine that is defined in accordance with the patterns.

The potential impact of aircraft emissions on the current and projected climate of our planet is one of the more important environmental issues facing the aviation industry. Increasing concern over the potential negative effects of greenhouse gas emissions has motivated the development of an aircraft emission estimation and prediction system as one of the ways to reduce aircraft emissions and mitigate the impact of aviation on climate. Hence, in this research, using Piano-X software which was developed by Lissys Co., fuel consumption and emissions for 3 types of aircraft were estimated for different design payloads with various flight distances and flight paths. Fuel burns for economy speed, long range cruise speed, maximum range speed were also investigated with various flight distances and altitudes.
Study on the Integrated UAV Simulation Environment for the Evaluation of the Midair Collision Alarm System

For the commercialization of unmanned aircraft, we must validate the safety of the air/ground collision alert systems (CAS). The validation procedure of CAS requires the flight test which is not only expensive but also dangerous. To alleviate this problem, we need the simulation based validation process for the CAS. We developed an integrated UAV simulation (IUS) environment which interconnect the flight simulator, the Matlab/Simulink, and a target avionics simulation model. We developed the collision warning module of the TCAS and tested using IUS and flight encounter models. Using IUS, we can evaluate the performance and reliability of a target avionic system at the preliminary design stage of a development life cycle.
Development of MATLAB GUI Based Software for Generating GPS RINEX Observation File

This paper introduces development of the MATLAB GUI based software for generating GPS RINEX observation file. The purpose of this software is to generate GPS measurements of reference station or dynamic user, which are similar to the real GPS receiver data, accurately and efficiently. This software includes two data generation modes. One is Precision mode which generates GPS measurements as accurate as possible using post-processing data. The other is Real-time mode which generates GPS measurements using GPS error modeling technique. GPS error sources are calculated on the basis of each data generation mode, and L1/L2 pseudorange, L1/L2 carrier phase, and Doppler measurements are produced. These generated GPS measurements are recorded in the RINEX observation version 3.0 file. Using received GPS data at real reference station, we analyzed three items to verify software reliability; measurement bias, rate of change, and noise level. Consequently, RMS error of measurement bias is about 0.7 m, and this verification results demonstrate that our software can generate relatively exact GPS measurements.
A Design and Implementation of Web-based System for Real-Time Infographics of Airport Refueling Facilities

A controlling system for airport refueling facilities is connected to sensors which collect various informations. Informations which are transmitted at a high speed in various sensors are processed by a dedicated software in the controlling system. The problems of system maintenance and network traffic caused by the use of dedicated software reduce the efficiency of the system operation. Therefore, a web-based system that can be accessed using the Internet environment is required. In this paper, we propose a system showing web-based real-time informations. To do this, we change the function of the communication by each sensor to a facade structure, and design a system for transferring web-based real-time informations. Also we propose data-driven infographics for displaying the real-time big data information at a high speed on the web. Finally, we compare and analyse the proposed system between the existing system and show that our system can effectively display the real-time information on the web.

This paper is a study on how to develop service robots can easily complex software development services robot control system. User created contents based on the robot control system developed in this study is a robot drive control circuit, a sensor data processing, the status, the monitoring systems and modular system to configure the service robot operation screen from a user perspective and that can control the service robot operation As in the text-based features that can be operated to have freedom to the robot control service content. In addition, the user has the advantage that changes position by the development as well as user created contents desired by the user operating the robot control GUI (graphic user interface) also changes are possible. As a result, the service robot operator to offer a way to make the service robot can be conveniently presented in a user`s point of view how to enable the development of the service robot.
A Channel Allocation Scheme Based on Spectrum Hole Prediction in Cognitive Radio Wireless Networks

In wireless communication networks, most of the prediction techniques are used for predicting the amount of resource required by user`s calls for improving their demanding quality of service. However, we propose a channel allocation scheme based on predicting the resources of white spectrum holes for improving the QoS of rental user`s spectrum handoff calls for cognitive radio networks in this paper. This method is supported by Wiener predictor to predict the amount of white spectrum holes of license user`s free spectrum resources. We classify rental user`s calls into initial calls and spectrum handoff calls, and some portion of predicted spectrum-hole resources is reserved for spectrum handoff calls` priority allocation. Simulations show that the performance of the proposed scheme outperforms in spectrum handoff call`s dropping rate than an existing method without spectrum hole prediction(11% average improvement in 50% reservation).
Compensation for the Distorted WDM Channels in the Long-Haul Transmission Link with the Randomly Distributed SMF Lengths and RDPS

The compensation characteristics of the distorted WDM channels compensated for by dispersion management (DM) and optical phase conjugation in the long-haul (
) transmission link with the randomly distributed single mode fiber (SMF) length and residual dispersion per spans (RDPS) for implementing of the flexible link configuration are investigated. It is confirmed that the compensation effect in the link with the randomly distributed SMF length and RDPS is similar with that in the link with the uniform distribution, when the launch power of WDM channels are restricted within 0 dBm. This result means that the proposed link configuration is useful for designing and deploying the long-haul WDM transmission link.
Study on Component-Based Middleware for IoT Service Scalability

A service in the environments of internet of things (IoT) exist various types with automation facilities and sensors. There can configure so many communication protocols to networking facilities and sensors. To provide efficient various kind of service, a middleware platform, is based on the internet protocol network, is needed a unified access with devices, controlling and monitoring huge kind of facilities and sensors, to provide a efficient IoT service and application configurations. In this paper, we propose a middleware that an application and service interact with automation facilities and monitor sensors. The proposed middleware is designed with adapter pattern that one of the software engineering design pattern. The adapter pattern is to ensure communication with each sensor and to make sure of service scalability. Finally, the proposed component middleware shows that variety sensors can be easily configure the service in the IoT environment.
Evaluation Model for Gab Analysis Between NCS Competence Unit Element and Traditional Curriculum

The national competency standards (NCS) is a systematize and standardize for skills required to perform their job. The NCS has developed a learning module with materialization and standardize by competence unit element, which is the unit of specific job competency. The existing curriculum is material to gab analysis for use in education training with competence unit element. The existing gab analysis has evaluated subjectively by experts. The gab analysis by experts bring up a subject subjective decision, accuracy lack, temporal and spatial inefficiency by psychological factor. This paper is proposed automated evaluation model for problem resolve of subjective evaluation. This paper use index term extraction, term frequency-inverse document frequency for feature value extraction, cosine similarity algorithm for gab analysis between existing curriculum and competence unit element. This paper was presented similarity mapping table between existing curriculum and competence unit element. The evaluation model in this paper should be complemented by an improved algorithm from the structural characteristics and speed.
