In high-speed vehicle, selection of fuel, configuration of components and cooling system are required to solve the heating issue by aerodynamic heating and inner combustion process. This subsystem consists of fuel tank, supply pump, various control valve, heat exchanger, including reactor, connecting line, adiabatic structures and insulations. In this paper, applicable fuel property is considered at flight characteristic of hypersonic vehicles. In this regard, current state of fuel/cooling system technology is identified.
Discrete Optimal Design of Composite Rotor Blade Cross-Section

In this paper, the optimal design of composite rotor blade cross-section is performed using a genetic algorithm. Skin thickness, torsion box thickness and skin lay-up angle are adopted as discrete design variables. The position and width of a torsion box are considered as continuous variables. An object function of optimal design is to minimize the mass of a rotor blade, and constraints are failure index, center mass, natural frequency and blade minimum mass per unit length. Finally, design variables such as the thickness and lay-up angles of a skin, and the thickness, position and width of a torsion box are determined by using an in-house program developed for the optimal design of rotor blade cross-section.
Effectiveness Analysis for Required Capabilities of Tilt-rotor UAV

In order to set up the optimal required capabilities to satisfy a variety of domestic and foreign demands for the Tilt-rotor UAV, MOE(Measure of Effectiveness) hierarchy was designed through an expert discussion, and the weight of the MOE was determined by utilizing AHP method. The independent MOE assessment on the required capabilities was accomplished for the current configuration, available alternatives and foreign competitive UAVs. Finally the cost-effectiveness for the alternative and competition UAV was analyzed.
Safety Assessment Analysis of the Rotorcraft Fuel Pumps

The system and components for aircraft are required the design data on which the safety requirements are properly reflected for their certification. This paper presents the procedure and results of a safety assessments analysis for the rotorcraft fuel pumps in oder to confirm and verify them. The fuel pumps design assessment must be performed, including a detailed failure analysis to identify all failures that will prevent continued safe flight or safe landing. In order to assess the fuel pumps design safety, not only system safety hazard analysis and but FTA(Fault Tree Analysis) for proofing the safety objective of the fuel pumps are performed. The results of the safety assessment for fuel pumps validate that no single failure or malfunction could result in catastrophic failure or critical accidents of the rotorcraft.
Establishment of Rotor Speed Operating Limitation for Medium Class Utility Rotorcraft

The rotorcraft makes lift and control forces by the rotor thrust. At the development phase of the rotorcraft, the operational limitations have to be established. And it shall be demonstrated to operate the rotorcraft safely within the limitations. This paper introduces establishment and evaluation results of operational rotor speed limitations for the medium class utility rotorcraft. And it shows the follow-up activities after design changes of rotor speed indicators and aural warning systems for implementing the rotor speed limitations.
Hyperbolic Location Estimation of Aircraft with Motion in a Plane

Multilateration(MLAT) may complement secondary surveillance radar and also act as a real-time backup for the ADS-B system. This System is using time difference of arrival (TDOA) and based on triangulation principle. Each TDOA measurement defines a hyperbola describing possible aircraft locations. The accuracy in MLAT system depends on the positional relationship of the receiver and aircraft. There are various algorithms to localize aircraft based on TOA estimation. In this paper, we use least square method and extended Kalman filter and compare their results. Study results show that the extend Kalman filter provides a better performance than the least square method.

In this paper, it has implemented the design for the K-Line Operations Safety Audit(K-LOSA) designed to provide a proactive snapshot of system safety and flight crew performance before an incident and accident. It introduces the a LOSA and ten operating characteristics that have come to define LOSA methodology. According to the LOSA methodology, we explain the conceptual and detail design and implement the prototype for the data collected with LOSA collection tool.
A Research on the Effect of Duty Free Shop`s Visual Merchandising(VMD) to Customer Loyalty with Parameter Effects of Brand Awareness and Image

A concession business at Incheon Int`l airport has achieved a huge success since its grand opening of 2001. However the duty-free market became matured due to downtown duty free stores and on-line stores. Thus this paper tried to research and suggest strategic planning of VMD at Incheon airport`s duty-free after analyzing the relationship among the components of duty-free store`s VMD, brand awareness, brand image and customer`s loyalty. Components of VMD are constructed in harmony, attractiveness, trendiness and Trust, which are independent variables. In addition, brand awareness and brand image are chosen as control variables. Customer loyalty is also designated as a dependant variable. Focusing those variables, this paper tried to find out the effect of VMD components to brand and consumer loyalty. According to the research result, it is proven attractiveness and harmony have a significant positive impact on brand awareness and brand image. It is also found out brand awareness and image have a positive impact on passenger`s loyalty on duty-free stores at Incheon airport.
International Progress on the Impacts of Aviation on Climate Change and Study for an Advanced Carbon Calculation Methodology

The introduction of aviation into the EU-ETS has faced significant opposition from many ICAO member States. Accordingly a global solution through ICAO is in progress. This paper traces the progress of works done by the HGCC in the area of global aviation aspiration goals aiming for the submission to the 38th Session of the ICAO Assembly. Furthermore, devices for calculating the carbon dioxide emissions from flights have been developed by several agencies including international organizations, governments, airlines and nongovernmental organizations. These carbon calculators, however, introduce too many assumptions to simplify the calculation process. This study assesses carbon calculators for aviation emissions and suggests a modified calculation methodology using the pre-existing computer reservation system for better accuracy.

The purpose of the research was to examine how the quality of service provided by the employee and KARST dealing with the quality of the systems and the information systems affect the satisfaction of the users. Second purpose was to find out which of three factors play greater or lesser roles in affecting the customers of the KARST by examining customer satisfaction and the causal relationship between them so that it can aid in finding areas that need to be further developed or improved when designing and operating airports as well as improve customer service by KARST employees.

The NGAP and TRAINAIR PLUS programme goal is to improve the safety and efficiency of air transport through the establishment, maintenance and monitoring of high standards of training and competency of aviation personnel on a world-wide basis and in a cost-effective manner. According to the trend, the approval of training organization must be change. In this study, personnel training system and certification mechanism were studied.
