Airspeed, Altitude Calibration and Climb Performance of Twin Bee by Flight Test

Airspeed and altimeter calibration of Twin Bee was conducted by the flight test. We have adopted system to system method. Flight test data is corrected for instrumented error and position error, and the resultin data was satisfied. Climb Performance flight test also was conducted. But we could not have all data because of limited flight time. The resulted data was satisfied compare with calculated data.
Flight Test Procedures for Light Airplane

FIight Test procedures are studied from FAR 23, AC 23-8, and Order 8110.7. We have been studied the main procedures for the type certification of light airplane from the experiences of Chang Gong 91. This study is intended as a reference for small airplane manufacturers, engineers, flight test engineers, and engineering flight test pilots, including government personnel. This study covers flight test items of interest during type certification. These methods and procedures are promulgated, in the interest of standardization, for use during normal category airplane flight test certification activities.
A study on the Aerodynamic Characteristics of a Flat plat Variable Wing by Combined Swept Back and Forward

A new variable wing that can be swept back and forward synchronously were developed to enhance the aerodynamic and stability characteristics of a high speed airplane. The configuration of the new variable wing changes in such a way that inner part of the wing sweeps forward and outer part of the wing sweeps backward, the shift of aerodynamic center of the wing is small, therfore the static margin that is required for the stability of a airplane is not affected. In this study, various configurations of wing models by combined swept back and forward were designed and a wind tunnel tests were conducted to investigate the aerodynamic characteristics of these variable wings. The experimental results showed that the variable wing by combined swept back and forward has no effect on the pitching moment coefficient affecting on an aircraft stability margin and enhance the aerodynamic characteristics for a given approach angle of attack.
A Study on Forecasting of Air Freight in Korea

Generally, air freight forecasting model used to major factor GNP(GDP), Yield, Exchange rate, as its independent variables. We studied about the factors that affect to Air Freight in Korea, and we found six affective variables. Those are GNP, Exchange rate, Flight routes, Flight numbers, Sum of dollars Export and import. To find the relationship between the Air Freight and GNP, Exchange rate, Flight routes, Flight numbers, Sum of dollars Export and import we used regression analysis. Through the regression analysis, we found some problems in the model. There are collieneraities between the variables, so we took the variables selection model to choose the best affective variables of air cargo. We have defined the the Korean air freight forecasting model with two variables and forecast far the
period were made by using this model.
A Study on the Warning System of Aircraft for Obstacle Avoidance

In this study, we deviced side warning system that is necessary to the ground operation of aircraft. The system consist of obstacle detection part, transmission part, receive part, and warning part. We used TOF(Time Of Flight) method using 40kHz ultrasonic wave as the obstacle detection part. The 447MHz RF module was applied to the transmission and receive part. The warning part is activated by the computer using received distance data. The detection system attach to the left/right side edge of main wing and horizontal stabilizer. We have decided 10m obstacle detection range. The result of experiment was satisfactory.
