A Study on Electric Field Dependence of Tree Shape in Low Density Polyethylene

Internal insulators give rise to partial discharge(PD), which cause local breakdown and even entire insulation breakdown. Treeing due to PD is one of the main causes of breakdown of the insulating materials and reduction of the insulation life. Therefore the necessity for establishing a method to diagnose the aging of insulation materials and to predict the breakdown of insulation has become important. From this viewpoint, we have studied on Electric Field dependence of tree shape in Low Density Polyethylene about treeing phenomena occurring on the high electrical field. As the result, under the reasoning that the growing of tree supposing when the inner part of tree is either dielectrec or conductor has the intermediate characteristics between dielectrec and conductor, theoretically investicated results well according with the experimental results.
A Study on the Ignition Behaviors of Textiles according to Permeation Amount of Oils and Aeration

We had investigated thermal and ignition behaviors of textiles. Decomposition of textiles with temperature was investigated using a DSC and the weight loss according to temperature using a TGA in order to find the thermal hazard of textiles, and the ignition behaviors of textiles according to species and permeation amount of oil. In addition, ignition behaviors of those permeated into oils indicating different iodine value and of those with arid without air in reaction vessel of measuring equipment were studied with constant temperature method among ignition temperature measuring methods. As results, the range of decomposition temperature of synthetic fiber was slightly broad compared with that of natural fiber, pure cotton. Besides, the initiation temperature of heat generation of both samples riced in the case of no air injection in the reaction vessel. On the other hand, in the case of air injection that was lowered according to the increase in permeative amount of oils and fats and decreased quickly as sample was permeated into drying oil.
A Study on the Evacuation Character and Regulation for High-rise Apartment Buildings in Korea

Apartment buildings have teen increasing it's height since first appearance in the late 1970 in Korea. Likewise, fire risk and the fire damage of this new dwelling type have become a serious problems. However the applying fire safety design method and regulations are minimum level of requirements based on the current fire codes. The purpose of this study is to figure out the evacuation characteristics in high-rise apartment buildings and improve countermeasure by comparison egress codes between Korea, Japan and U. S. A. The result shows that means of egress of this dwelling should be reviewed by the fire code as well as expected evacuation safety performance by a fire protection engineer to minimize fire 1osses including life safety.
A Study on Lighting Emergency Lamp using Photovoltaic Generation System

Emergency lamp is installation usage on an emergency situation or firing. It's an offer at least of brightness. It's lighting to common source usually. It's transferred to reserve battery on power stoppage. This emergency lamp is lighted from solar cell system. The solar cell should be operated at the maximum power point. This paper proposes the new control method that half-bridge inverter using the solar cell can operate emergency lamp.
