A Study on the Properties Analysis and Estimation of Odor Detection System

We studies wish to investigated establishment form of cabinet board, and confirm possibility of electrical disaster prevention through reappearance experiment of odor detection system. Established breaker consists of MCCB, RCD order in cabinet board for house, but industry is used together with. When imposed shock using shaker to terminal block that contact becomes in appropriate, flame was made sure. According to result that experiment attaching odor capsule in terminal block, capsule commissioned exactly by occurred heat. According to establishment position of sensor, difference of inspection time was about 10 seconds. Estimate odor inspection system by thing which electrical device accident prevention is available. When there is abnormal generated heat in connection of electric wire, accident prevention estimates that is possible by giving an alarm state of overheat to administrator.
The Study on the Necessity of Seismic Design for Fire Protection System and the Establishment of Standard

In this paper, provisions related with the seismic design and equipments of fire protection system are being considered. The provisions from various international codes on seismic design fire protection system were reviewed. The codes, reviewed are, Japanese code, NFPA guideline and Korean Code. It is noted that all the codes excepted to Korean Code consider earthquake effect to evaluate seismic forces and behaviors. But, korean provision are not covered in seismic response in all. A brief description on limitations in Korean Code is also presented.

This study is related with fire risk assessment for occupant of the area adjacent to not enclosed atrium through the computer modeling and application of enhanced fire protection systems depending on the result. Fire scenario is intended to evaluate the impact of a fire from atrium base within the corridor adjacent to the atrium and to compare with egress time depending on the warning system. The major purpose of this study is to figure out fire life safety for occupant adjacent to atrium through the computer simulation and to suggest alternative option in case the occupant safety is not guaranteed.
Classification of Reaction-to-Fire's Performances on Sandwich Panel Systems by Applying to ISO 13784-1 Fire Tests

Reaction-to-Fire's performances such as combustion properties of sandwich panels were tested according to ISO 13784-1 (room corner test for sandwich panel building systems) method which is made for the purpose of supplementing ISO 9705 room corner test, and analyzed comparatively. Several variables including heat release rate, smoke production rate, FIGRA, SMOGRA, thermal configuration, visual check lists and so on, were analyzed for specific four materials on sandwich panel systems. Finally, Reaction-to-Fire's performances of test results on each material by ISO 13784-1 are categorized by applying to the classification systems of both EN 13501-1 and Eurefic Research Program.
Study on the Fire Behaviour of Composite Beam with Loading and Unloading

In this study, the fire resistance performance of a simple support composite beam, which was sprayed with fire protection coatings, was evaluated. Primary valuables of the study are loading and unloading, shape of composite beam and metal lath of the web. The thickness of the fire protection coating to the three hour resistance is 40mm, but the fire resistance test was performed with 25mm coatings. The test result showed that TSC composit beams with 25mm fire protection coatings can resist on fire for three hours at the both loading and unloading tests. Average and maximum temperatures were less than
respectively, compared with the standard temperatures for fire resistance on the loading and unloading tests.
Improvement and Analysis for an Electrical Fire Cause Classification

This paper presents research about the development of electrical fire cause classification in order to improve the reliability of electrical fire statistics and to collect electrical fires data efficiently. The incorrect and biased knowledge for electrical fires changed the classification of certain types of fires, from non-electrical to electrical. It is convenient and required to develop the standardized form that makes, in the assessment of the cause of electrical fires, the fire investigators directly ticking the appropriate box on the fire report form or making an assessment of a text description. In this study, newly developed electrical fire cause classification structure, which is well-defined hierarchical structure so that there are not any relationship or overlap between cause categories, is suggested. Also the suggested classification structure can be used for electrical fire investigation and statistics, which minimizes the mistake that diagnose non-electrical fires into electrical ones.
Spacial and Time Distribution Feature of Temperature Data in USN Based Fire Detectors

In this paper, to overcome the limitation of the existing wired fire sensors and alert facilities, the real-time temperature data collected from the fire detectors applied USN is analyzed the time series and spacial features of temperature inside building using the GIS spatial modeling method. Resulting from the analysis of the distribution features by the spacial location and time series, the temperature sensors applied USN is installed by the consideration of the spacial structures features. This paper will suggest the objective and practical guideline of installation of fire sensors applied USN.
A Study on the Recognition of Fire Safety of Traditional Market Employee: Focusing on Masan City

The aim of the study intends to investigate the recognition of fire safety of traditional market employee in Masan city and to provide the base data for the fire safety. The results of the study are as follows. The traditional market employee have high interest in fire safety and recognize that the possibility of fire is high in market. The traditional market employee of 46.0% takes fire safety education and preferred self-government merchant association in market as education place. This study shows that the traditional market employee of 41.5% recognize a fire escape route. In order to prevent the fire of traditional market, the strong activity of market fire staff and the periodic fire inspection of fire department are recommended.

This study has been carried on the transient phenomenon protection system to become fire alarm system control unit of high reliance which can be protected from transient phenomena for surge or transient overvoltage, and constructed engineering base that can develop transient phenomenon protection system by proving performance of protection system in a experimental. This study developed 1 step and 2 step protection system that can be protected from transient phenomenon with process thesis and theory for development of transient phenomenon protection system. It established engineering data construction and a source technology that can develop transient phenomenon protection system as gets satisfied result and test with all performance condition that present in fire protection law and connection regulation.
A Study on the Damage by Burning Characteristics of Insulating Materials of RCD

In this study, we study the damage by burning characteristics of insulating material of RCD (Residual Current Device) used in Korea. The insulating materials of RCD manufactured by three manufacturers are used as the sample. We compare and analyze the thermal decomposition characteristics, combustion characteristics and tracking characteristics of samples. The TGA and Mass Loss Calorimeter meeting the requirements for the ISO5660 (Fire tests-Reaction to Fire, part 1) are used for analyzing the thermal decomposition characteristics and combustion characteristics respectively. In addition, the tracking characteristics are analyzed according to standard of KSC IEC 60112 known as the test used for measuring the resistance tracking and comparison tracking indexes. The study results show that the resistance tracking property of insulating material provided by A Company is highest. Also, the test results show that the resistance tracking property of insulating material provided by B Company is lowest. A Study on the Measures for Activating the Fire Fighting Safety Education of Elementary School Students - Focusing on the Fire Fighting Science Class of Gyeonggi-do Goyang Fire Station -

The purpose of this study is to deal with fire fighting safety education primarily among the fields of child safety education. So, first of all, this study considered the theoretical background of fire fighting safety education. And this study analyzed the present state and cases of safety accidents in elementary schools. And by focusing on the fire fighting science class for elementary schools which Gyeonggi-do Goyang fire station is executing now, this study analyzed the educational outline, present state, educational goal, and content of fire fighting science class, and conducted the satisfaction survey through questionnaire over the elementary school students participating in fire fighting science class and the fire fighting officers in charge of fire fighting science class. On basis of this research, by developing the new field of fire fighting education and publicity into the program which can diffuse the fire fighting-related chemical experiment based on the science of chemistry and physics in the future and so provide the pleasure and surprise of experiencing directly not only natural fire fighting education and publicity but also learning and the common sense of fire fighting, this study tried to present the alternatives about the measures for activating the fire fighting safety education in elementary schools.
Experimental Study on the Fire Extinguishing Characteristics of Water Mist System

We carried out fire extinguishing experiments with three kinds of water mist nozzle system. Fire extinguishing experiment according to installed nozzle height and fuel pan location was done. And fire extinguishing performance was compared with plain water and foam agent mixed solution. Water mist nozzle height was varied with 4m, 3.5m and 3m and position of fuel fan was varied 0.5m and 1m from the center of water mist nozzle. Foam agent that used in this experiment is 3% type of AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) solution. Experimental result showed the door opening effect was little. Fire extinguishing performance of foam agent mixture water mist was better than the plain water mist only.
A Study on the Method of revitalization for Fire Services' Organization - The Solution for Conflict Between Desk Officials and Outside Duty Ones -

The fire organization of civil servant is a specified public official job which traditionally is characterized by conservative attributes, highly emphasized with a hierarchical culture and the order from higher position. Such a special condition of the fire organization is seemingly regarded as a prerequisite of the occurrence especially prevalent of the systematic discord rather than the other system of a civil servant such as a common administrative job. The conflict among fire officials which is caused by the variety of effort that has been input in pursuit of making a desirable structure does not in progress or even though it dose, weakened by a counterbalance. Therefore, the goal of this research is inducing a plan to revitalize the fire organization through the corroborative analysis of the conflict between indoor duty and outdoor service ones. That is the reason of the disagreement, the device of getting rid of discord and so on.
Analysis of the Helicopter Fire Attack Pattern on Forest Fire Behavior

Because of dense forests and restriction of approaching for fire fighters, forest fire is easy to be a larger fire in Korea. For this result, the air attack was about 90% of extinguishing, so the application of aircrafts, especially helicopters, will be increased gradually. In the all process of forest fire attack, the method of heli-scattering water was the chief element of success of efficient forest fire attack and safe flight. Therefore, a standardized method of heli-scattering water was required. However, as it was not already standardized, a efficiency and safety of fire fighting have been decreased. In this study, we suggest a 11 patterns of methods for scatterling water based on a actual experience of air attack.
Study on Improvement of Fire Investigation System

As the current fire investigation system in Korea has been performed mainly by the public sector such as fire service, police, etc., private fire investigation system such as 'private fire investigator system' to protect rights and interests of the sufferers from the fire accidents due to defective products showed very deficient. In addition, since the laws and regulations concerned about fire investigation are distributed into and applied for each organization, a lot of problems have been generated such as civil appeals due to duplicated investigations among similar organizations, excess reaction to exclude other organization from the fire investigation field, inefficient waste of administration force due to duplicated operation of fire investigation organization and manpower, etc. This study has surveyed generation operation conditions and problems of the fire investigation system in Korea and drawn its improvement method on the public and private sectors.
A Study on the Ignition Delay Effect by Flame-Resistance Paint Treatment
