A Study on Evaluation to Safety of Fire-proof Safety Helmet

Now a days, according that the occurrence of industrial disaster is on the increase, the necessity of protective goods is increasing. Specially estimate of safety helmet for protect of head is very important. On this, in this paper, amplification ratio and natural frequencies of fire safety helmet and general safety helmet are estimated by falling impect test and frequency analysis. Also. trend of damping is estimated by using these test results. And we know that the fire safety helmet is more safe than general safety helmet for protect of head.
A Study on The Fire Safety Design of Nuclear Power Plants in Korea.

It has been generally accepted that nuclear power (NPP) is suiable for power supply in korea because of its economical profits and pollution-free energy. When designing or operating a NPP. The main points to be home in mind are the hazards of and protection against an uncontrolled release of the large quantities of radioactiv substances which are always generated in a nuclear reactor while it is in iperation. Multiple independent safety systems are provided which should prevent this from occurring. Thus fire prevention measures in NPP follow the “Defense-in-depth” concept. This study aims to suggest the fire prevention measures and to demonstrate information which is needed for NPP planning and its safety assessment. The findings of this study can be used as useful data for fire protection plannings at the first phase of NPP design.
A Study on the Fire Safety Design of High-Rise Apartment Buildings

One of the most serious national problems is the shortage of houses, especially in great cities. Housing shortage resulted from an overpopulated city brought the high-rise apartment buildings. While these buildings provide city-dwellers with much more houses, they have the basic fire safety problem in proportion to their heights. In these respect, this study aims to present the basic data for the fire safety design of high-rise apartment buildings. In this study, national fire damage statistics of past eleven years were investigated and the problem of the fire safety design of high-rise apartment buildings was studied through the methods of questions, observations and records on the representative six high-rise apartment buildings in seoul.
A Study on the planning improvement of sprinkler and other safety facility in high rise apartment building

Under the present code, sprinkler heads operating simultaneously are fixed at 30 in number, irrelavant to building use. But, apartment buildings in korea have mostly wall-and-slab structure and every house hold is separated by fire-proof wall. Therefore, apropriate review about present system should be made for the safety assurance by reasonable effort.
