This study identifies the ways of utilizing abolition schools and the problems possibly caused by amalgamating small schools in agricultural, mountain and fishing villages. This study aims to find ways to collaborate with the communities based on the characteristics of the districts where schools might be abolished, which can contribute to the development of the society. Following results are integrated by the theoretical framework, social and educational necessities, and analysis of the current situation about the utilization of abolition schools. First, alternative schools, characterized schools, specialized high school can be established as the result of abolition schools that are caused by lack of people in the city. Second, since it is easy for people to access to the agricultural, mountain, and fishing villages near cities, abolition schools in these areas can be used as experience facilities or training places for students and teachers. Third, in case of the abolition candidate schools in the agricultural, mountain, and fishing villages in the districts, students and village people can use the schools for education and social purposes. Fourth, when abolition schools are independently located from the agricultural, mountain, and fishing villages, they can be used as self-service places or local peoples` places for business.
A Research of Utilizing for closed Schools to Strengthening of regional Competitiveness

Since the number of students in farming and fishing communities have been widely decreased due to industrialization and urbanization along with a low birth rate. As a result, the number of closed schools has reached 3,386 in 2010. The number is still increased because of continuous decrease in the number of population engaged in farming and fishing. Explore the possibility for the development of closed schools facilities, this researching is showing us that the closed schools have associated with the local community closely. For this reason, we need to promote these closed school facilities to utilizing purposes as appropriate to the needs of the times and with that we can explore too the possibility of a variety of regional development concept, how underdeveloped regions can be activated. Therefore, first on this study is progressed theoretical study of utilizing of closed schools and the strengthening of regional competitiveness as a framework and we consider characteristics of the closed schools utilizing. Second, we choose the case, where the utilizing of closed schools have realized to purpose of regional development conceptions with the strengthening of regional competitiveness. Third, we would like to prove several possibilities with results of date-analysis and formulate some suggestion for be continued future planning of utilizing of closed schools. education.
A Study on the Disaster Safety Assessment on the Analysis of Educational Facilities due to Disasters

Even though newly formed schools do struggle to strengthen their security in safety, existed schools have limitations for active response against natural disaster. From analyzing the results of accident cases and states in misfortune and the safety supervision of school facilities, it is said that damages by wind, flood and fire are typical types of disaster accidents. Also, according to the basic law of misfortune and the safety supervision, it emphasizes education, training, and actions that prevent from being a victim of natural disaster. In terms of these finding, establishing disaster safety organization, control system and having students an opportunity to learn how to response against disaster should be critical component in managing disaster safety of school facilities.
A case study on the School Accommodation plan in Germany - Student accommodation, Educational environment and its Facility Investment shown in Potsdam -

Analysis of the case of the German school acceptance plan was to help complement the limitations of the nation`s student accommodation plan will be judged. Therefore, the present study in order to determine what the content covered in the plan of the German student acceptance of Potsdam, Germany, which contains information from the Potsdam school development plan (Schulentwicklungsplan) were analyzed. A scheme suggested in this study was based on the analysis of survey to elementary school in Potsdam and actually surveyed data on educational environment, the result can be summed up as follows; Korea`s plan to accommodate students and school development plan (Schulentwicklungsplan) is called, as shown in the case of this study in Potsdam(Germany) student acceptance of the educational environment plans, as well as accommodate students like us, school facility planning and school facilities dealing with the financial investment plan. In addition, the plan as a long-term plan that will ensure the predictability of long-term school facilities to finance investment plans. This study, there are limits to Potsdam, Germany, to analyze the characteristics of Germany`s student accommodation plan to represent the characteristics of the students of other cities in Germany and an acceptance plan.
A Study on Predicting Construction Cost of Educational Building Project at early stage Using Support Vector Machine Technique

The accuracy of cost estimation at an early stage in school building project is one of the critical factors for successful completion. So various of techniques are developed to predict the construction cost accurately and expeditely. Among the techniques, Support Vector Machine(SVM) has an excellent ability for generalization performance. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to construct the prediction model for construction cost of educational building project using support vector machine technique. And to verify the accuracy of prediction model for construction cost. The performance data used in this study are 217 school building project cost which have been completed from 2004 to 2007 in Gyeonggi-Do, Korea. The result shows that average error rate was 7.48% for SVM prediction model. So using SVM model on predicting construction cost of educational building project will be a considerably effective way at the early project stage.
