A Comparative Analysis on the School Building Area per Student for the Revision of School Facility Standard

The existing school facility recommendations enacted in 1997 has not been suitable for current school curriculum. The objective of the paper is to present the school building area reflecting the current education policies and curriculum. This paper firstly reviewed previous school facility recommendations through literature review. Secondly, the statistical approach was carried out for analyzing the present situation of school building area by using statistical database of Korean Educational Development Institute. The paper did the field investigation and questionnaire. And, the final step proposed the school building area standards(minimum, optimum, maximum) by space program using Nelson model. The contents of analyzing space organization are `entry and placement, outdoor space`, `space program` and `phase structure and organization of unit space`.
A Study on Space Education Environment Changes due to the Fusion of Creative Education

This study is currently presenting a creative education policy through the new 2015 revised curriculum and the Free semester system of Middle School as part of the education policy reform in the government-led, high freedom grade in each regional school board first, emotional schools, friendly school, campus type schools, etc. with creative thinking and improve students` autonomous judgment with the psychological and political reasons meant to provide amusement and certainty of their career choice. This creates space for creative education through the theoretical understanding of the educational philosophical thinking on creativity was to identify the appropriate means of educational space. The purpose of this study was to extract the linkage to produce creative educational environment that is generated through the philosophical thinking of the historical and psychological analysis of creativity with a human being. Future school construction has a future-oriented task should create a creative learning space in the center of the member schools. This creates space for creative education through the theoretical understanding of the educational philosophical thinking on creativity was to identify the appropriate means of educational space. Therefore Philosophical Thinking Creative School of members through the grounds centric collaboration focused on convergence enemy curriculum and school creative autonomy of operation which is central educational environment, that is diversified assistance as an attribute of the environment, space, space, flexible outdoor space, linking enemy center space, different types and sizes of the space case situation, the open space and spatial fusion can be seen the configuration doeeojim with different training space element.
A Study on the Safety Assessment of Elementary School Environment in Korea

The new town was assumed that there is a difference between the country`s elementary school environment. First, given the important elements of the school safety plan in order to verify this, and we plan to set up each of these elements by safety criteria. In the second chapter in order to achieve the objective of this study was to develop indicators to evaluate the safety of the school environment influences the safety of the school environment through the theoretical consideration. In Chapter 3, the difference in safety through the new elementary school survey of metropolitan areas was given a score per item per item depending on the evaluation criteria. The fourth section is the difference between safety school environment can be summarized as the following analytical results that the difference between the new city. The results of this study as follows: First, the characteristics of the elementary school environment showed a significant difference between the new town. Second, school location, terrain characteristics, bike paths and pedestrian to the installation, the safety of landscape installations, installing median barriers, traffic safety facilities, speed bumps, separation of pedestrian and vehicle circulation in the front door, scores of elements of the plan such as parking scheme there is a difference between the new town. Third, the introduction of elements of the plan such as Traffic calming or Traffic Island installation techniques was found lacking.
A Study on the Estimation of CCTV Monitor Size for School Crime Prevention

The purpose of this study is to propose the calculation model of CCTV monitor size for school. Literature review analyzed the concept and technical characteristics of CCTV system including equation of object size calculation. Case study showed that the sizes of CCTV monitors installed in the security offices of the six object schools were 19 inches on average. And the numbers of monitor screen partitions were at least 12 on average. Due to too many partitions in small monitors of approximately 19 inches, the faces of the objects of filming in each screen could not be properly identified. Experimental test presented that the vertical length of face image clearly recognized on the screen is at least 20mm. Based on the result, this paper developed the equation for calculating monitor size. Pilot test said that 27inch Monitor is needed for 4 screens. The practitioners of school districts and schools can make appropriate CCTV system environments considering the their own CCTV system conditions.
A Study on the School Safety Accidents Prevention Policy Applied Delphi Technique

The purpose of this study is to suggest school safety accidents prevention policy by applying delphi technique as a method to decrease school safety accidents which have been increasing consistently. As results of Delphi, the plans to improve school safety accidents prevention policy per area are as follows: First, it is required to establish systematic safety policy by dividing school facilities into four stages such as planning, designing and building, maintenance and evaluation etc. Second, it is required studies to overcome budget limitation and accountability of people in charge of safety of facilities to apply school safety policy as a useful measure. Third, it is required to make an effort to revise relevant legislations through examinations of relevant government ministries per each area to reflect prevention measures to safety policy consistently.
