Third, the status and characteristics of the area are clarified through the analysis of the types of the cul de sac roads.
A Study on the Four-Season Cooling Performance by Color of Water Proofing Membrane Materials Considering the View of Area
Ko, Jin-Soo ; Kim, Byung-Yun ;
Journal of the Korean Institute of Rural Architecture, volume 17, issue 2, 2015, Pages 9~16
DOI : 10.14577/kirua.2015.17.2.9
This study comparatively analyzed thermal characteristics of the green color, which is currently used the most, and other various colors of a rooftop urethane water proofing sheet. This study also analyzed the cooling performance by color of the water proofing sheet that fused cooling paints, and presented the effective water proofing sheet color for building energy savings. The experimental results are as follows: (1) The value of L (brightness) diminished, and brilliance also became lower from the white color to the black color, and thus, it was confirmed that relatively more heat was absorbed. In a and b chromaticity, which is the color attribute that ignores brightness, no special relationship was identified. (2) Considering that the cooling performance effect is bigger in summer than winter, due to heat reflection, the white water proofing sheet is more effective in building energy savings than the green water proofing sheet that is currently used the most. (3) The water proofing sheet's color has an impact more on cooling performance than the color of the background side of a structure on which water proofing sheet is installed. The experiment object of gray, of which background side is similar to cement mortar, was lower by
than the white background side.

Kim, Tai-Young ;
Journal of the Korean Institute of Rural Architecture, volume 17, issue 2, 2015, Pages 27~34
DOI : 10.14577/kirua.2015.17.2.27
As part of the waterway restoration to renew traditional urban area, this paper is to assume and research Gyoseocheon(Gyoseo waterway) in Late 1960s Cheongju Korea. The main stream of Gyoseocheon flew from Sangjwagol(the head of the valley) of Uam Mt. to the north gate under Cheongju castle at first, and meandering from Sangdang Park, flew through Sudongseongdang and Bangadari Road to Musimcheon since open railroad of 1920s. This waterway, the eco-friendly figure of Gyoseocheon, that flew to inside the downtown with a planted tree and that is open space was so. The sub stream of Gyoseocheon originated in Seoundong and Tapdong were divided into two parts. One was to join the main stream of Gyoseocheon on Sangdang Park via Munhwadong, and the other was to join the sub stream of Musimcheon at northwest corner via south and west gate of Cheongju castle. This waterway as branch sewer were built into the road culvert.

Second, 'The tool of inhabitants opinion expression using a Post-it' is easy as a tool of the workshops, and the effect improves if It use a drawing together. Third, 'The tool of inhabitants opinion expression using figure card' is the most effective as expression of the inhabitants intention as a tool of the workshops, but preparations process is complicated. Moreover, for the inhabitants participation in regional linking cooperation projects, the development system of a more systematic inhabitants intention expression is necessary.
Review on the Improvement Works of Ecological Stream in Rural Areal - A Focused on Sijeon-ri Dogo-myeon Asan City -
Nam, Yun-Cheol ;
Journal of the Korean Institute of Rural Architecture, volume 17, issue 2, 2015, Pages 51~58
DOI : 10.14577/kirua.2015.17.2.51
10 years ago, in Sijeon-ri, Dogo-myeon, Asan-si, the existing stream was repaired to develope Mt. Dogo trail and irrigation systems through road expansion pavement construction and small stream repair construction. The trees such as persimmon and willow are eliminated that rowed on both sides of the stream and dredging work to dig the rock and sand have been performed. As a result, wide asphalt road was built, also flood damage worries were reduced. 10 years passed and now, how did local residents think about the stream repaired before and after? Village residents, public officials, and the stream construction engineer were interviewed. Villagers indicated a problems that brook became a place where water peppers were taking over and water was stagnating due to the slow velocity so nothing could live and natural landscape like a wash place and the cascade disappeared, because rock and sand were taken out brought soil into the brook. Public officials and engineers were aware of the problems at the time of the stream. Now that construction is completed after 10 years, Both realistically and budgetary to restoration would be difficult. However, it is necessary to seek for waterfront space which can be restored or replaced by a part of the stream like similarly before. In addition, it is necessary to restore to the progression of a natural stream which connect with stairs(or slope) - small waterfalls - pools - wash place. In this paper, we hope to take a lesson from the Sijeon-ri model and make rural stream construction be prepared with consideration about not only distinct characteristics of specific area but also the opinion of local resident.
