A NOTE ON GRÖBNER FANS OF IDEALS
KIM, YONGGU ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 21, issue 1, 1999, Pages 19~33
Abstract
In this paper we reproduce results on
fans of ideals following a paper by T. Mora and L. Robbiano [5], and introduce stable
fans of ideals introduced by D. Mall [4]. We make minor corrections for the clarification, simplify proofs and provide new proofs. At the end we give a description of
fans of toric ideals.

COPRIMELY PACKED RINGS (II)
CHO, YONG HWAN ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 21, issue 1, 1999, Pages 43~47
Abstract
In this paper we show that in case of Noetherian ring R(1) if R is coprimely packed then R((X)) is coprimely packed and (2) if Max(R) is coprimely packed then so is MaxR((X)).

CERTAIN METHODS FOR PROVING TWO RESULTS CONTIGUOUS TO KUMMER'S SECOND THEOREMS
KIM, YONGSUP ; RATHIE, ARJUN K. ; CHOI, JUNESANG ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 21, issue 1, 1999, Pages 49~56
Abstract
The object of this note is to provide various methods for proving two results contiguous to Kummer's second theorem by using the classical Gauss's summation theorem and contiguous relations.

Abstract
Let K be a algebraically closed field of characteristic 0 and G be abelian group
or
. We find the conditions which the elements of the group ring KG are unit and idempotent respecting using the basic table matrix of G. We can see that if

Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 21, issue 1, 1999, Pages 75~95
Abstract
Dimensions of irreducible
-modules over an algebraically closed field F of characteristics p > 2 shall be obtained. It turns out that they should be coincident with
, where 2m is the dimension of coadjoint orbits of
as Premet asserted. But there is no subregular point for
over F.

ALGEBRAICITY OF PROPER HOLOMORPHIC MAPPINGS
CHUNG, YOUNG-BOK ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 21, issue 1, 1999, Pages 105~113
Abstract
Suppose that
is a bounded domain with
smooth boundary in the plane whose associated Bergman kernel, exact Bergman kernel, or
kernel function is an algebraic function. We shall prove that any proper holomorphic mapping of
onto the unit disc is algebraic.

SOME DISCRETE INEQUALITIES OF GRÜSS TYPE AND APPLICATIONS IN GUESSING THEORY
DRAGOMIR, S.S. ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 21, issue 1, 1999, Pages 115~126
Abstract
Some discrete inequalities of

Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 21, issue 1, 1999, Pages 139~147
Abstract
In this paper we generalize the definition of strongly close-to-convex functions by using the functions g(z) of bounded boundary rotation and investigate the distortion and rotation theorem, coefficient inequalities, invariance property and inclusion relation for the new class

Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 21, issue 1, 1999, Pages 157~169
Abstract
For a k-connected inverse system
of pointed topological spaces and pointed preserving weak fibrations, inducting epimorphic chain maps, over a directed set, we show that the homotopy group
of the inverse limit is isomorphic to the integral homology group
. Using the result of S.
, we prove that the group of pure extension
is isomorphic to the group of extension

HAN, SANG EON ; KIM, CHEOL HO ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 21, issue 1, 1999, Pages 171~177
Abstract
We find the properties of the defects and textures in an ordered medium. Especially, the space X, e.g., the residually solvable space or space satisfying the conditions (
) with respect to the defect and texture.
