THE SET OF ATTACHED PRIME IDEALS OF LOCAL COHOMOLOGY
RASOULYAR, S. ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 23, issue 1, 2001, Pages 1~4
Abstract
In [2, 7.3.2], the set of attached prime ideals of local cohomology module
were calculated, where (A, m) be Noetherian local ring, M finite A-module and
, and also in the special case in which furthermore A is a homomorphic image of a Gornestien local ring (A', m') (see [2, 11.3.6]). In this paper, we shall obtain this set, by another way in this special case.

ASYMPTOTIC BEHAVIOUR OF IDEALS RELATIVE TO SOME MODULES OVER A COMMUTATIVE NOETHERIAN RING
ANSARI-TOROGHY, H. ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 23, issue 1, 2001, Pages 5~14
Abstract
Let E be an injective module over a commutative Noetherian ring A. In this paper we will show that if I is regular ideal, then the sequence of sets
is ultimately constant. Also we obtain some related results. (Here for an ideal J of A,
denotes the integral closure of J relative to E.

PSEUDO SYMMETRY OF M(R) AND N(R)
JUNG, EUN-SUK ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 23, issue 1, 2001, Pages 15~20
Abstract
Reduced Von Neumann Regular ring is pseudo symmetric and N(R) is reduced. Thus N(R) is pseudo symmetric and M(R) is reduced if and only if M(R) = N(R).

PSEUDO VALUATION RINGS
CHO, YONG HWAN ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 23, issue 1, 2001, Pages 21~28
Abstract
In this short paper, we generalize some theorems about pseudo valuation domain to ring and give characterizations of psedo valuation ring.

ON THE RELATION BETWEEN COMPACTNESS AND STRUCTURE OF CERTAIN OPERATORS ON SPACES OF ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS
ROBATI, B. KHANI ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 23, issue 1, 2001, Pages 29~39
Abstract
Let
be a Banach space of analytic functions defined on the open unit disk. Assume S is a bounded operator defined on
such that S is in the commutant of
or
for some positive integer n. We give necessary and sufficient condition between compactness of
where c = 1, -1, i, -i, and the structure of S. Also we characterize the commutant of
for some positive integer n.

SUBORDINATION ON δ-CONVEX FUNCTIONS IN A SECTOR
MARJONO, MARJONO ; THOMAS, D.K. ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 23, issue 1, 2001, Pages 41~50
Abstract
This paper concerns with the subclass of normalized analytic function f in D = {z : |z| < 1}, namely a
-convex function in a sector. This subclass is denoted by
, where
is a real positive. Given $0<{\beta}{\leq}1$ then for
, the exact
is found such that
implies
, where
is starlike of order
in a sector. This work is a more general version of the result of Nunokawa and Thomas [11].

ADDITIVE MAPPINGS ON OPERATOR ALGEBRAS PRESERVING SQUARE ABSOLUTE VALUES
TAGHAVI, A. ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 23, issue 1, 2001, Pages 51~57
Abstract
Let
and
denote the algebras of all bounded linear operators on Hilbert spaces
and
, respectively. We show that if
is an additive mapping satisfying
for every
, then there exists a mapping
defined by
,
such that
is the sum of
-homomorphisms one of which C-linear and the othere C-antilinear. We will also study some conditions implying the injective and rank-preserving of

TOPICS ON FUNDAMENTAL TOPOLOGICAL ALGEBRAS
ANSARI-PIRI, E. ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 23, issue 1, 2001, Pages 59~66
Abstract
A class of topological algebras, which we call it a fundamental one, has already been introduced to generalize the locally bounded and locally convex algebras. To prove the basic theorems on fundamental algebras, the first successful step is the new version of the Cohen factorization theorem. Here we recall it and prove some new results on fundamental topological algebras.

PERSISTENT LAMINATION
OH, SEUNGSANG ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 23, issue 1, 2001, Pages 67~70
Abstract
Brittenham has shown how an incompressible Seifert surface F for a knot in
can be used to find an infinite class of persistently laminar knots. We generalize this to create larger class of persistently laminar knots which therefore have property P.

MARKOV CHAINS AND THEIR APPLICATION TO HYPERPLANE ARRANGEMENT
AHN, SEUNG-HO ; HAN, BOONG-BI ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 23, issue 1, 2001, Pages 71~90
Abstract
In this paper, we introduce the MarKov chain and hyperplane arrangement. we prove some properties determined by a hyperplane arrangement and give an example as an application of them.

SEMI-INVARIANT SUBMANIFOLDS OF CODIMENSION 3 IN A COMPLEX HYPERBOLIC SPACE
KI, U-HANG ; LEE, SEONG-BAEK ; LEE, AN-AYE ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 23, issue 1, 2001, Pages 91~111
Abstract
In this paper we prove the following : Let M be a semi-invariant submanifold with almost contact metric structure (
,
, g) of codimension 3 in a complex hyperbolic space
. Suppose that the third fundamental form n satisfies
for a certain scalar

for any vectors X and Y on M. Then M has constant eigenvalues correponding the shape operator A in the direction of the distinguished normal and the structure vector
is an eigenvector of A if and only if M is locally congruent to one of the type
,
,
or B in

AHN, SEONG-SOO ; LEE, SEONG-BAEK ; LEE, AN-AYE ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 23, issue 1, 2001, Pages 133~143

STOCHASTIC INEQUALITIES IN TWO REPAIRABLE UNITS
PARK, TAE-KEUN ; PARK, YOUNG-SUNG ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 23, issue 1, 2001, Pages 145~158
Abstract
In this paper we investigated a replacement model with two types of repairs. Repairs are classified into minimal and perfect repair. An operating unit is completely replaced whenever it reaches age ${\tau}({\tau}>0)$(planned replacement). If it fails at age $t<{\tau}$, it is either restored by a entire unit with probability p(t)(perfect repair), or it undergoes minimal repair with probability
. After a planned replacement, the procedure is repeated.

ON THE WEAK DEPENDENCE STRUCTURE OF MULTIVARIATE PROCESSES AND CORRESPONDING HITTING TIMES
BAEK, JONG-IL ; RU, DAE-HEE ; YOUN, EUN HO ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 23, issue 1, 2001, Pages 159~178
Abstract
In this paper we introduce a new concept of positive orthant dependence of multivariate stochastic processes. This concept is weaker than the POD but it enjoys most of the properties and preservation results of the POD. Some examples are presented.
