Jin, Dae Ho ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 36, issue 2, 2014, Pages 217~232
DOI : 10.5831/HMJ.2014.36.2.217
Abstract
In this paper, we study the geometry of half lightlike submanifolds of an indefinite Kaehler manifold equipped with a quarter-symmetric metric connection. The main result is to prove several classification theorems for such half lightlike submanifolds.

POSITION VECTOR OF SPACELIKE SLANT HELICES IN MINKOWSKI 3-SPACE
Ali, Ahmad T. ; Mahmoud, S.R. ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 36, issue 2, 2014, Pages 233~251
DOI : 10.5831/HMJ.2014.36.2.233
Abstract
In this paper, position vector of a spacelike slant helix with respect to standard frame are deduced in Minkowski space
. Some new characterizations of a spacelike slant helices are presented. Also, a vector differential equation of third order is constructed to determine position vector of an arbitrary spacelike curve. In terms of solution, we determine the parametric representation of the spacelike slant helices from the intrinsic equations. Thereafter, we apply this method to find the parametric representation of some special spacelike slant helices such as: Salkowski and anti-Salkowski curves.

Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 36, issue 2, 2014, Pages 253~261
DOI : 10.5831/HMJ.2014.36.2.253
Abstract
In this paper, we first will show that for any space X and any Wallman sublattice
of
with
, (
,
) is the minimal quasi-F cover of X if and only if (
,
) is a quasi-F cover of X and
. Using this, if X is a locally weakly Lindel
f space, the set {
is a Wallman sublattice of
with
and
is the minimal quasi-F cover of X}, when partially ordered by inclusion, has the minimal element
and the maximal element
. Finally, we will show that any Wallman sublattice
of
with
,
is
-irreducible if and only if

Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 36, issue 2, 2014, Pages 263~273
DOI : 10.5831/HMJ.2014.36.2.263
Abstract
Ever since Euler solved the so-called Basler problem of
, numerous evaluations of

) as well as
have been presented. Very recently, Ritelli [61] used a double integral to evaluate
. Modifying mainly Ritelli's double integral, here, we aim at evaluating certain interesting alternating series.

DOI : 10.5831/HMJ.2014.36.2.275

Abstract
In this paper, through a direct computation with subintervals partitioning [0, 1], we compute better a posteriori bounds for the average case error of the difference between the true value of

[0, 1] minus the composite trapezoidal rule and the composite trapezoidal rule minus the basic trapezoidal rule for
by using zero mean-Gaussian.

DOI : 10.5831/HMJ.2014.36.2.305
Abstract

ON THE REDUCIBILITY OF KAMPÉ DE FÉRIET FUNCTION
Choi, Junesang ; Rathie, Arjun K. ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 36, issue 2, 2014, Pages 345~355
DOI : 10.5831/HMJ.2014.36.2.345
Abstract
The main objective of this paper is to obtain a formula containing eleven interesting results for the reducibility of Kamp
de F
riet function. The results are derived with the help of two general results for the series
very recently presented by Kim et al. Well known Kummer's second theorem and its contiguous results proved earlier by Rathie and Nagar, and Kim et al. follow special cases of our main findings.

EXTENSION OF EXTENDED BETA, HYPERGEOMETRIC AND CONFLUENT HYPERGEOMETRIC FUNCTIONS
Choi, Junesang ; Rathie, Arjun K. ; Parmar, Rakesh K. ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 36, issue 2, 2014, Pages 357~385
DOI : 10.5831/HMJ.2014.36.2.357
Abstract
Recently several authors have extended the Gamma function, Beta function, the hypergeometric function, and the confluent hypergeometric function by using their integral representations and provided many interesting properties of their extended functions. Here we aim at giving further extensions of the abovementioned extended functions and investigating various formulas for the further extended functions in a systematic manner. Moreover, our extension of the Beta function is shown to be applied to Statistics and also our extensions find some connections with other special functions and polynomials such as Laguerre polynomials, Macdonald and Whittaker functions.

A STRUCTURE THEOREM FOR A CLASS OF GORENSTEIN IDEALS OF GRADE FOUR
Cho, Yong S. ;
Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 36, issue 2, 2014, Pages 387~398
DOI : 10.5831/HMJ.2014.36.2.387
Abstract
In this paper, we give a structure theorem for a class of Gorenstein ideal of grade 4 which is the sum of an almost complete intersection of grade 3 and a Gorenstein ideal of grade 3 geometrically linked by a regular sequence. We also present the Hilbert function of a Gorenstein ideal of grade 4 induced by a Gorenstein matrix f.

Abstract
We study the Seifert surfaces of a link by relating the embeddings of graphs with induced graphs. As applications, we prove that every link L is the boundary of an oriented surface which is obtained from a graph embedding of a complete bipartite graph
, where all voltage assignments on the edges of

Honam Mathematical Journal, volume 36, issue 2, 2014, Pages 435~454

We show that for any graph G, the proper part of the intersection poset of the corresponding graphical arrangement
has the homotopy type of a wedge of spheres. Furthermore, we also indicate the number of spheres in the wedge, based on the number of spanning forests of G and other graphs that are obtained from G.
