A Study of Real-Time System(RTS) Efficiency in e-Trade

In e-Trade, Real-Time System(RTS) plays a very important role. Each task is set with limited time, and appointed regulations must be followed because it can be greatly damaged if it cannot be executed in limited time. In e-Trade, the scheduling possibility techniques generally use periodical tasks; however, it is necessary to study more stable prediction scheduling possibility algorithm by using other task timing conditions and non-periodical task scheduling tasks. This study proposed an algorithm to increase the prediction possibility using individual task utilization rate, and presented scheduling possibility conditions using existing whole task utilization rate and the proposed algorithm.
Design of Internal Integrated Microstrip Patch Antenna for PCS Handset

In this paper, an internal integrated microstrop patch for PCS handset is designed. To increase the bandwidth of microstrip patch antenna, a configuration of stacked type using parasitic element is used. Furthermore, to reduce the size of microstirip patch antenna, the main radiator in the substrate is shorted to the ground plane using five shorting-posts while three parasitic elements on the superstrate are also shorted to the ground plane using two shorting-posts respectively. The antenna bandwidth and radiation characteristics are calculated by HFSS 7.0 software, and compared with the experimental results. Performance Evaluation of Downlink OFDMA Systems

I evaluate the BER performance of downlink OFDMA systems in time variant Rayleigh Doppler fading channel, considering the carrier frequency offset and the nonlinear high power amplifier. I obtain the required output back-off of the nonlinear amplifier and value of frequency offset for good BER performance. And I also analyze the BER degradation upon Doppler fading channel.
Dynamic FSA Algorithm for Fast Tag Identification in RFID Systems

In RFID system, when multiple tags respond simultaneously, a collision can occur. A method that solves this collision is referred to as anti-collision algorithm. Among the existing anti-collision algorithms, SFSA, though simple, has a disadvantage that when the number of tags is variable, the system performance degrades because of the fixed frame size. This paper proposes a new anti-collision algorithm called DFSA which determines the optimal frame size using the number of collided slots at every frame. According to the simulation results, the tag identification time of the proposed algorithm is faster than that of SFSA.
Design and Verification of MAC Core for 10Gbps Ethernet Application

Ethernet has been given a greater attention recently due to tendency of unifying most of transmission technique(not only LAN, but MAN and WAN) to ethernet. Performance evaluation was performed using C language for 10Gbps ethernet Data Link to design the optimum hardware, then internal FIFO size was evaluated. In this paper, MAC core for 10Gbps ethernet which contains high layer interface, transmit engine, flow control block, receive engine, reconciliation sublayer, configuration block, statistics block, and XGMII interface block was designed using VHDL language and Xilinx 6.2i tool and verified using Model_SIM 5.7G simulator. According to the specification of 10Gbps ethernet, MAC core with 64-bit data path should support 156.25MHz in order to support 10Gbps. The designed MAC core that process 64-bit data, operates at 168.549MHz and hence supports the maximum 10.78Gbps data processing. The designed MAC core is applicable to an area that needs a high-speed data processing of 10Gbps or more.
Design of B-ISDN Protocol embedded Internet-Phone PBX System

In this paper we researched on the development methods and design of the B-ISDN protocol embedded Internet-Phone PBX System for the previous telephone exchange and communication. We designed the structure of the user terminal md exchange server of the Internet-Phone PBX System, defined message and data structure for call control, and designed call control message flows between sender and receiver terminal for user's communication.
The Intermediate Channel Assignment based on Channel Status in High-rate WPAN

Wireless Personal Area Networks(WAPANs) are designed for short-range ad hoc connectivity among portable devices. They have gained much attention in the industry recently. One of them, High-rate WPAN, is designed to support multimedia traffic that requires high data rates. But, High-rate WPAN standards don't specify the time slot assignment scheduling method of CAT(Channel Time Allocation). So, there has been many studies regarding time slot assignment scheduling of CAT. However, present studies involve demerits about not applying various types of errors in air interlace or having a starvation of a specific DEV(data device). In this paper, we propose algorithms about supplying the intermediate channel assignment in order to avoid these demerits. This method will help other methods that use time slot assignment scheduling of CTA.
REL and RDD Web Services System Based on MPEG-21 Framework

The standardization on RDD and REL has been developed by MPEG. REL is a Right Expression Language and RDD is term dictionary which develop active application of REL. However, since REL documents could be oかy edited by user understanding MPEG-21's framework, much easier editing system is required. As well, REL Consumption System to process and analyze REL documents, the RDD interoperability system to interoperate REL and RDD are needed. In this paper, REL Editing System and REL Consumption System, RDD Web Services System were designed and implemented, REL Editing System to make REL document, REL Consumption System to process and analyze edited documents, RDD Web Services System to process rights inquiry base on the Web Services.

Finally, the transceiver set achieves the following characteristics : 8.15dBm output power, 45.97dBc spurious property.
A Design of Low-power/Small-area Arithmetic Units for Mobile 3D Graphic Accelerator

This paper describes a design of low-power/small-area arithmetic circuits which are vector processing unit powering nit, divider unit and square-root unit for mobile 3D graphic accelerator. To achieve area-efficient and low-power implementation that is an essential consideration for mobile environment, the fixed-point f[mat of 16.16 is adopted instead of conventional floating-point format. The vector processing unit is designed using redundant binary(RB) arithmetic. As a result, it can operate 30% faster and obtained gate count reduction of 10%, compared to the conventional methods which consist of four multipliers and three adders. The powering nit, divider unit and square-root nit are based on logarithm number system. The binary-to-logarithm converter is designed using combinational logic based on six-region approximation method. So, the powering mit, divider unit and square-root unit reduce gate count when compared with lookup table implementation.

The cellular neural networks have shown a vast computing power for the image processing in spite of the simplicity of its structure. The Pattern Segmentation of 3D Image Information Using FCM

In this thesis, to accurately measure 3D face information using the spatial encoding patterns, the new algorithm to segment the pattern images from initial face pattern image is proposed. If the obtained images is non-homogeneous texture and ambiguous boundary pattern, the pattern segmentation is very difficult. Furthermore. the non-encoded areas by accumulated error are occurred. In this thesis, the FCM(fuzzy c-means) clustering method is proposed to enhance the robust encoding and segmentation rate under non-homogeneous texture and ambiguous boundary pattern. The initial parameters for experiment such as clustering class number, maximum repetition number, and error tolerance are set with 2, 100, 0.0001 respectively. The proposed pattern segmentation method increased 8-20% segmentation rate with conventional binary segmentation methods.
Design and Implementation of a Real-Time Vehicle's Model Recognition System

This paper introduces a simple but effective method for recognizing vehicle models corresponding to each maker by information and images for moving vehicles. The proposed approach is implemented by combination of the breadth detection mechanism using the vehicle's pressure, exact height detection by a laser scanning, and license plate recognition for classifying specific vehicles. The implemented system is therefore capable of robust classification with real-time vehicle's moving images and established sensors. Simulation results using the proposed method on synthetic data as well as real world images demonstrate that proposed method can maintain an excellent recognition rate for moving vehicle models because of image acquisition by 2-D CCD and various image processing algorithms.
Application of the GPS & EDM System for 3D Orthophoto in Small Area

It's very difficult to acquire the accurate GCP(Ground Control Point) in the urban center and forest aerial photo because of occurring of irregular multi-path error. The purpose of this study is to apply the CPS and the EDM system for 3D orthophoto in the small areas. GCPs surveyed by accuracy triangulation from EDM after from triangulation points to a fiducial point at study area used to GPS. And I have a comment on how to use areal orthophoto for future 3D-GIS after 3D-Modelling using areal orthophoto. As the results, EDM surveying could resolve multi-path error according to GPS surveying and It is possible for using aerial orthophoto on the basis of the 3D-GIS database.

The eastern coast of northeastern Brazil (NEB), a coastal land-strip up to 300 km wide and stretching out from Rio Grande do Norte
State down to the south of Bahia State
, experiences different rain producing systems, such as distrubances in the south-east trade winds, frontal systems penetration, land-sea breeze circulation and local convection associated with the topography and moisture flux convergence. The annual total rainfall ranges from 600 inland to 3000 mm on the coast. Rainfall totals 5 to 12 times the focal climatic means were recorded in various regions of Alagoas state in January 2004. It was estimated that 46,000 people were homeless, with material damages exceeding US$10 million as a consequence of the ensuing floods. GOES infrared images analysis showed that the main weather system responsible for this anomalously high rainfall totals was an Upper Troposphere Cyclonic Vortex (UTCV), which formed at about a

Generation scheme of elemental images for full-direction-curved integral imaging

Recently various types of curved integral imaging system have been reported for improvement of viewing angle. However, the optical implementation has been limited to only unidirectional system. In this paper, we propose a curved integral imaging (CII) system with additional use of a large-aperture ten in conventional II system and explain a generation scheme of elemental images in the proposed system. The proposed system provides full-directional curvature effect and has simple structure due to the use of well-fabricated flat devices. For the full-directional-curved II system, we perform my analysis based on Johns matrix and synthesize novel elemental images. To show the usefulness of synthesized elemental images, preliminary experiments were performed and some experimental results were presented.
Improved Code Timing Estimator for DS-CDMA Systems Using Correlated Antennas in Time-Varying Fading Channels

We consider the problem of estimating a code-timing of DS-CDMA signal in antenna array systems in the presence of flat fading channels and near-far environments. We derive an approximate maximum likelihood algorithm of estimating the code-timing of a desired user for DS-CDMA systems to better utilize the time-varying characteristics of the fading process. In the development of code timing estimator, the given observation bits are divided into many sets of sub-windows with each sufficiently large. The proposed method uses sub-windows with equal size associated with the coherence time of channel fading. The alternative approach is that without the estimation of the fading rate, the sufficiently given observation bits are simply separated into two consecutive sets of sub-windows. The derivation of the proposed algorithms is based on multiple antennas partially correlated in space. The impacts of spatial fading correlation on acquisition and men acquisition time performance of the proposed algorithms are also examined.
Design and Implementation of DGPS Interface Module using CDMA Communication Network

The current DGPS technique is many problems that is permission of radio station using RF Wireless Modem, that is influence of geographic obstacle using radio wave, that is frequency interference, that is finiteness of frequency resources. In this paper, we are solved many elements, IM(Interface Module) replaces RF Wireless Modem, we suggest transmission technique of correction message using mobile phone, we researched Interface Module development which is linkage of DGPS receiver and mobile phone. IM of base station is initialized RS-232 port and modem to move station for correction message transmission, IM waited response mode. IM of move station is initialized RS-232 port and modem, IM requests hand shaking to base station, completed connection establishment. A Study on 2D/3D Map Navigation System Based on Virtual Reality

This paper aims to build a 2D/3D map navigation that the user can efficiently operate in terms of feeding attribute information after securing 2D/3D space data. This system provides 2D/3D screen navigation that supports variety of operational visual effects and displays the location that the user is retrieving. Also it presents picture information of buildings with higher resolution and URL, name of store, phone number, other related information. Effectiveness of this system is as follows: first, development and distribution of a new technology of 2D/3D spatial database that changes the previous 2D/3D based system concept to the 2D/3D based one. Second, increase of developmental productivity by utilizing the integrated 2D/3D spatial database for developing various interfaces. Finally, it provides security of the preemptive technological position with world class domestic 2D/3D spatial database technologies.

Design of Internet Phon(VoIP) System for Voice Security based on VPN

The VoIP(Voice over IP) has been worldwide used and already put to practical use in many fields. However, it is needed to ensure secret of VoIP call in a special situation. It is relatively difficult to eavesdrop the commonly used PSTN in that it is connected with 1:1 circuit. However, it is difficult to ensure the secret of call on Internet because many users can connect to the Internet at the same time. Therefore, this paper suggests a new model of Internet telephone for eavesdrop prevention enabling VoIP(using SIP protocol) to use the VPN protocol and establish the probability of practical use comparing it with Internet telephone.
A Study on Adopting Active Suspension Control in Sky Hook System

This paper prosed modelling and design method in suspension system sesign to analyze sky hook damper system by adopting active suspension control theory. Recent in the field of suspension system design it is general to adopt active control scheme for stiffness and damping, and connection with other vehicle stability control equipment is also intricate, it is required for control system scheme to design more robust, higher response and precision control equipment. It is hon that sky hook suspension system is better than passive spring-damper system in designing suspension equipment. We analyze location of damper in sky hook system and its motion equation then design robust control system. Numerical example is shown for validity of robust control system design in active sky hook suspension system.
Pattern Classification Methods for Keystroke Identification

Keystroke time intervals can be a discriminating feature in the verification and identification of computer users. This paper presents a comparison result obtained using several classification methods including k-NN (k-Nearest Neighbor), back-propagation neural networks, and Bayesian classification for keystroke identification. Performance of k-NN classification was best with small data samples available per user, while Bayesian classification was the most superior to others with large data samples per user. Thus, for web-based on-line identification of users, it seems to be appropriate to selectively use either k-NN or Bayesian method according to the number of keystroke samples accumulated by each user.
Run-to-Run Fault Detection of Reactive Ion Etching Using Support Vector Machine

To address the importance of the process fault detection for productivity, support vector machines (SVMs) is employed to assist the decision to determine process faults in real-time. The reactive ion etching (RIE) tool data acquired from a production line consist of 59 variables, and each of them consists of 10 data points per second. Principal component analysis (PCA) is first performed to accommodate for real-time data processing by reducing the dimensionality or the data. SVMs for eleven steps or etching m are established with data acquired from baseline runs, and they are further verified with the data from controlled (acceptable) and perturbed (unacceptable) runs. Then, each SVM is further utilized for the fault detection purpose utilizing control limits which is well understood in statistical process control chart. Utilizing SVMs, fault detection of reactive ion etching process is demonstrated with zero false alarm rate of the controlled runs on a run to run basis.
Implementation of the Embedded Screen Control System using Image-Based Mobile Network

In his paper, a remote screen control system by mobile networks on embedded system is implemented. For this system a server program is ported on the embedded system connected to the internet. And on the side of a mobile phone, a client program is ported using general virtual machine. The embedded system can display the image from the mobile phone on its LCD. In the implemented embedded system, the image data from GVM emulator is sent to the system for display on its LCD. The realization of the proposed embedded system can display the image from a working mobile phone.
Analysis of Current Situation of Mobile Port-MIS and Activation Measures

To cope with the recent developments of info-communication technology and information infrastructure, and in particular, to respond to the environment of wire and wireless communication integration, and also to overcome the limit of the existing web-based Port-MIS, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries is developing a mobile Port-MIS public service system (hereinafter referred to as a mobile Port-MIS). Accordingly, this study analyzes the current situation of the mobile Port-MIS that is under operation of the lust stage, finding out the problems, and suggesting new measures to activate the mobile Port-MIS. We expect this study will be able to suggest a guideline to the government institutions or other related organizations that plan to introduce a mobile technology in the near future.
Recognition of Passports using Enhanced Neural Networks and Photo Authentication

Current emigration and immigration control inspects passports by the naked eye, registers them by manual input, and compares them with items of database. In this paper, we propose the method to recognize information codes of passports. The proposed passport recognition method extracts character-rows of information codes by applying sobel operator, horizontal smearing, and contour tracking algorithm. The extracted letter-row regions is binarized. After a CDM mask is applied to them in order to recover the individual codes, the individual codes are extracted by applying vertical smearing. The recognizing of individual codes is performed by the RBF network whose hidden layer is applied by ART 2 algorithm and whose learning between the hidden layer and the output layer is applied by a generalized delta learning method. After a photo region is extracted from the reference of the starting point of the extracted character-rows of information codes, that region is verified by the information of luminance, edge, and hue. The verified photo region is certified by the classified features by the ART 2 algorithm. The comparing experiment with real passport images confirmed the good performance of the proposed method.
