Design and Implementation of CC/PP Profiling System for Providing of Device Independent Digital Contents

The server system of digital contents has to how the context information about client devices to provide the appropriate contents for each device effectively. CC/PP standard specification is an agreement for describing and transmission of the information related with a client device. In this case, the information on device hardware and software, networks and user's preference is included here. In the mean time, WAP forum defined W-HTTP protocol to transmit the CC/PP profile information of a client device to a server system. However, the client devices which use existing HTTP protocol to transmit their information cannot provide the CC/PP profile information to a server. In this paper, we propose an effective method to create and provide the CC/PP profile in the clients which use not only HTTP protocol but also W-HTTP protocol to transmit device information

Multiple Targets Detection by using CLEAN Algorithm in Matched Field Processing

In this paper, we propose a method for applying the CLEAN algorithm to an minimum variance distortionless response(MVDR) to estimate the location of multiple targets distributed in the ocean. The CLEAN algorithm is easy to implement in a linear processor, yet not in a nonlinear processor. In the proposed method, the CSDM of a Dirty map is separated into the CSDM of a Clean beam and the CSDM of the Residual, then an individual ambiguity surface(AMS) is generated. As such, the CLEAN algorithm can be applied to an MVDR, a nonlinear processor. To solve the ill-conditioned problem related to the matrix inversiion by an MVDR when using the CLEAN algorithm, Singular value decomposition(SVD) is carried out, then the reciprocal of small eigenvalues is replaced with zero. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves the performance of an MVDR.
A study on fairness packet scheduling scheme in IEEE 802.11e WLAN system

Since subscribers, who pay the same communication fees, have a strong desire to take similar services with the other users, it is an important issue to provide fairness among those subscribers wherever they are located. Therefore, in this paper we propose a QoS packet scheduler that can provide fairness among wireless LAN terminals and evaluate its performance using computer simulation. The key idea of this scheduler is to reduce the CW value of the wireless LAN terminal that has failed in sending its packets due to channel transmission error in order to offer the wireless MM terminal a higher transmission priority which is the idea of service compensation. We evaluate its performance using NS-2 network simulator, compare its numerical results to those of IEEE 802.11e without this scheme, and conclude that this scheme can reduce throughput difference between similar wireless LAN terminals.
Certificate Management System of MANET for Stable Ubiquitous Service

This study addressed security requirements for ad-hoc network environments, which lies at the hour of the ubiquitous computing revolution and proposed a partially-distributed certificate management system that can ensure security in mobile ad-hoc networks. The proposed model is characterized by ie ability to handle dynamic mobility of nodes, minimize routing load and enhance expandability of network by allowing participating nodes to authenticate each other without being interrupted by joining the cluster. The security, efficiency and robustness of the proposed model were evaluated through simulation.
Construction of Complemented Hybrid Group Cellular Automata with Maximum Equal Lengths

Recently with the ever increasing growth of data communication, the need for security and privacy has become a necessity. The advent of wireless communication and other handheld devices like Personal Digital Assistants and smart cards have made the implementation of cryptosystems a major issue. The Cellular Automata(CA) can be programmed to implement hardware sharing between the encryption and decryption. In this paper, we give conditions for a linear hybrid cellular automata with 60, 102 or 204 to be a linear hybrid group cellular automata C. And we present the conditions which the complemented hybrid group cellular automata C' with complement vectors derived from C has maximum equal lengths in the state transition diagram of C' Also we analyze the relationship among cycles of C' These results generalize Mukhopadhyay's results.
Security Mechanism of Agent for Effective Agro-Foods Mobile Commerce

To utilize actively the agent which is one of the elements of revitalization of Agro-Foods Mobile I-commerce, an essential prerequisite is agent security. IF using partial PKI(Public Key Infrastructure)-based confirmation mechanism providing security for the agent, the size of agent is becoming larger, the result of the transmission speed is slow, and the confirmation speed is tardy as well because of performing calculation of public keys such as RSA and needing linkage with the CA for the valid examination of certificates. This paper suggests a mechanism that can cross certification and data encryption of each host in the side of improving the problems of key distribution on agent by shaping key chain relationship. This mechanism can guarantee the problem of ky distribution by using agent cipher key(ACK) module and generating random number to fit mobile surroundings and to keep the secret of the agent. Suggested mechanism is a thing that takes into consideration security and efficiency to secure agent for the revitalization of M-Commerce, and is a code skill to make the agent solid and is a safe mechanism minimizing the problems of memory overflow.
Efficient Hardware Support: The Lock Mechanism without Retry

A lock mechanism is essential for synchronization on the multiprocessor systems. The conventional queuing lock has two bus traffics that are the initial and retry of the lock-read. %is paper proposes the new locking protocol, called WPV (Waiting Processor Variable) lock mechanism, which has only one lock-read bus traffic command. The WPV mechanism accesses the shared data in the initial lock-read phase that is held in the pipelined protocol until the shared data is transferred. The nv mechanism also uses the cache state lock mechanism to reduce the locking overhead and guarantees the FIFO lock operations in the multiple lock contentions. In this paper, we also derive the analytical model of WPV lock mechanism as well as conventional memory and cache queuing lock mechanisms. The simulation results on the WPV lock mechanism show that about 50% of access time is reduced comparing with the conventional queuing lock mechanism.
Ranking Decision Method of Retrieved Documents Using User Profile from Searching Engine

This paper proposes a technique of user oriented document ranking using user refile to provide more satisfied results which reflect preference of specific users. User profile is constructed to represent his or her preference. User pfofile consists of 'term array' and 'preference vector' according to the interest field of one. And the User profile for a particular person is updated by 'user access', 'latent relaeon', 'User Profile' proposed in this paper. The latent structures of documents in same domain are analysed by singular value decomposition(SVD). Then, the rank of documents is determined by comparison of user profile with analyzed document on the basis of relevance.

Study on the Color Scheme for Improvement of a Sensibility Communication when Web Site Design

There are relatively abundant guide lines on designing taking a side view of aesthetics though most of guidelines are based on designer's intuition and common sense. This study focuses on design methodology what can bring about the sensibility from users which coincides with the purpose of the web sites, breaking from the design which was focused on efficient usability. For this approach we applied color scheme to web design based on sensibility model of I.R.I Color Laboratory. Effective color scheme can build up and enhance the sensibility communication between designers and users.
Study on the Filtering Methods for Mobile Vector Map Service

For map services in the mobile environment, it should be considered that resource restriction or the mobile device. on, if a map database dedicated to mobile services may not be developed, the spatial data extracted from general map databases should be simplified before transmitting. % is paper suggests the filtering methods to manipulate the spatial data, which are changed to be able to displayed on the mobile devices. The suggested methods are evaluated by experiments. This method is based on the map generalization operator 'selection' and is refined to adapt on mobile phone environments.
Transformerless DGS Control using a Z-source Boost Inverter

This paper presents system modeling, modified space vector PWM implementation and design of a closed loop controller of the Z-source inverter which consists of L and C components and shoot-through zero vectors for DGS. Zero vector periods of SVPWM utilized to boost DC-link voltage instead of conventional DC/DC converter and transformer. Only two shoot-through vut(nn are used for DC link voltage control during one switching period without loss of non-zero vectors. Discrete time sliding mode controller, robust servomechanism controller are designed to realize fast and no-overshoot current response and a steady state voltage error. Simulation results are shows the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
A Study on the Changes of Meridians Potential Induced by the Manual art during Acupuncture Therapy

We studied the effects or electric potential in ST37(+) and ST39(-) generated by various the manual art stimulus or acupuncture at ST36. And compared with data on the change of electric potential from hand of performer acupuncture therapy. Electric potential induced via acupuncture from performer may be important factor that is the initiation of electric potential changes in meridian and meridian point of being performer. The results for various manual art stimulus in acupuncture therapy was that four type of electro-wave observed. That is the capacitance currents type, sign wave type, triangle wave type and circle type triangle wave. And the change of electric potential ransfer from performer acupuncture therapy in stable electro-circle condition, were capacitance currents type. So we suggested that capacitance currents stimulus in electronic view may be important factor in acupuncture therapy between performer acupuncture therapy and being performer acupuncture therapy.

Analysis of Transport Characteristics for Double Gate MOSFET using Analytical Current-Voltage Model

In this paper, transport characteristics have been investigated using analytical current-voltage model for double gate MOSFET(DGMOSFET). Scaling down to 100nm of gate length for MOSFET can bring about various problems such as a threshold voltage roll-off and increasing off current by tunneling since thickness of oxide is down by 1.fnm and doping concentration is increased. A current-voltage characteristics have been calculated according to changing of channel length,using analytical current-voltage relation. The analytical model has been verified by calculating I-V relation according to changing of oxide thickness and channel thickness as well as channel length. A current-voltage characteristics also have been compared and analyzed for operating temperature. When gate voltage is 2V, it is shown that a current-voltage characteristic in 77K is superior to in room temperature.
A Study on Delayed ACK Scheme for TCP Traffic in Ad-hoc Network

An ad hoc network is multi-hop network composed of radio links. and the transmission quality of a radio link is more unstable than that of a wired circuit. Packet loss thus occurs frequently in an ad hoc network, and the consequent connection failure results in a severe deterioration of TCP performance. TCP performance also deteriorates because of the collision of data packets and ACK packets in the radio channel. In this paper we study to improve the performance of the Mobile Ad-hoc network by using Delayed ACK algorithm with our proposed ODA(Ordering-Delayed ACK) method. The proposed ODA algorithm increases the number of the data packets orderly at the receiver side which is going to be applied for the Mobile Ad-hoc network. We accomplished a computer simulation using NS-2. From the simulation results, we find the proposed ODA algorithm obviously enlarge the channel capacity and improve the network performance at the situation of multi-hop of ad-hoc network than the existing Delayed ACK algorithm.
Growth and Structural Properties of Fe Thin Films Electrodeposited on n-Si(111)

Single crystal Fe thin films were grown directly onto n-Si(111) substrates by pulsed electrodeposition. Cyclic Voltammogram(CV) indicated that the
interface shows a good diode behavior by forming a Schottky barrier. From Mott-Schottky (MS) relation, it is found that the flat-band potential of n-Si(111) substrate and equilibrium redox potential of
ions are -0.526V and -0.316V, respectively. The nucleation and growth kinetics at the initial reaction stages of Fe/n-Si(111) substraste was studied by current transients. Current transients measurements have indicated that the deposition process starts via instantaneous nucleation and 3D diffusion limited growth. After the more deposition, the deposition flux of Fe ions was saturated with increase of deposition time. from the as-deposited sample obtained using the potential pulse of 1.4V and 300Hz, it is found that Fe nuclei grows to three dimensional(3D) islands with the average size of about 100nm in early deposition stages. As the deposition time increases, the sizes of Fe nuclei increases progressively and by a coalescence of the nuclei, a continuous Fe films grow on the Si surface. In this case, the Fe films show a highly oriented columnar structure and x-ray diffraction patterns reveal that the phase
grows on the n-Si(111) substrates.
Real Time System Realization for Binocular Eyeball Tracking Mouse

A real time system realization for binocular eyeball tracking mouse on the computer monitor being far from 30-40cm is presented in the paper. The processing for searching eyeball and tracking the cursor are that a facial image is acquired by the small CCD camera, convert it into binary image, search for the eye two using the five region mask method in the eye surroundings and the side four points diagonal positioning method is searched the each iris. The tracking cursor is matched by measuring the iris central moving position. The cursor controlling is achieved by comparing two related distances between the iris maximum moving and the cursor moving to calculate the moving distance from gazing position and screen. The experimental results show that the binocular eyeball mouse system is simple and fast to be real time.
Power Efficient Handover Algorithm for DVB-H System

DVB-H(Digital Video Broadcasting for Handhold) is a new standard, currently being developed, which defines mobile enhancements for the DVB-T (DVB-Terrestrial) standard. For the reception of service via mobile handheld devices, seamless mobility and power saving are essential requirements of DVB-H. For seamless handover, the receiver should monitor neighboring cells and it increases the power consumption. And so, power efficient handover scheme to support both mobility and power saving is required. In this paper, we propose power efficient handover scheme to reduce power consumption by reducing the number of frequency scanning during the handover. Through the numerical evaluation, we analyze the performance of handover schemes.
A Study on Call Admission Control in CDMA Hierarchical Cellular Systems

The future mobile communication system should be operated with hierarchical cellular system for providing high quality multimedia services within limited wireless resources. In this paper, we have studied a call admission control scheme applied in hierarchical CDMA cellular system nested with macro, macro, and pico cells. When the proposed call admission control algorithm was applied we got 20% more system capacity than no admission control was applied.

In this raper we researched on the development methods and design of the B-ISDN protocol embedded IP-PBX System with the computers interconnected by the Internet for the previous telephone exchange and communication. We designed the structure of the user terminal and exchange sewer of the IP-PBX System, defined message and data structure for call control, and designed call control state transition and call control message flows for user's communication. And we researched on the message flows for supplementary services and the call control for multiple calls.

A Fuzzy Control of Autonomous Mobile Robot for Obstacle Avoidance

In this paper, we proposed a fuzzy controller and algorithm for efficiently obstacle avoidance in unknown space. The ultrasonic sensor is used for position and distance recognition of obstacle, and fuzzy controller is used for left and right wheels angular velocity control. The fuzzification is used singleton method and the control rule is each wheel forty-nine. The fuzzy inference is used simplified Mamdani's reasoning and defuzzification is used SCOG(Simplified Center Of Gravity). The computer simulation based on mobile robot modelling was performed for the capacity of fuzzy controller and the really applicable possibility revaluation of the proposed avoidance algorithm and fuzzy controller. As a result, mobile robot was exactly reached in target and it avoided obstacle efficiently.
High-speed Integer Fuzzy Operations Without Multiplications and Divisions

In a fuzzy control system to vocess fuzzy data in high-speed for intelligent systems, one of the important problems is the improvement of the execution speed in the fuzzy inference and defuzzification stages. Especially, it is more important to have high-speed operations in the consequent Pan and defuzzification stage. Therefore, in this paper, to improve the speedup of the fuzzy controllers for intelligent systems, we propose novel integer fuzzy operation method without mulitplications and divisions by only integer addition to convert real values in the fuzzy membership functions in the consequent part to integer grid pixels
without [0, 1] real operations. Also we apply the proposed system to the truck backer-upper control system. As a result, this system shows a real-time very high speed fuzzy control as compared as the conventional methods. This system will be applied to the real-time high-speed intelligent systems such as robot arm control.
